Key point re. the on-screen notation: The grace notes appear here as if they're 32nd notes, in reality they don't have any specific value as such. The way I'm playing them is close to a 32nd note feel though.

Groove Scribe has a 'buzz' option on the snare drop down, but no 'drag' option. Is there a technical difference between a buzz and a drag?

      Buzz roll: ruclips.net/video/qSKsMoerZQo/видео.htmlfeature=shared
      Drags: ruclips.net/video/5gAwg1yD5jg/видео.html&pp=ygUWbWlrZSBiYXJuZXMgZHJ1bXMgZHJhZw%3D%3D
The option in Groove Scribe is for a "buzz stroke": a multiple-note hit using a single wrist motion (more than one of which played in the sequence RLRL etc would form a buzz roll). The drag is llR or rrL.
The classic version of a drag has two distinct ("open") notes for the grace notes, not a buzz stroke ("closed").

Finally a practical application for a rudiment that I can actually use. Thanks Mike!
