@@sfbenji Actually, I'm pretty sure it's the opposite. The longer someone spends being filmed, the more likely they are to be themselves. This is seen in reality shows and/or documentaries. I recall something like a show where they had people come in to be prisoners and prison guards in a prison. The people acting as guards and prisoners seemed pretty normal at first, but after a while, the veil drops and they just start doing what they would do if the cameras weren't there. Y'know, abusing their power, threatening eachother, fighting, etc.
@@Edward-Not-Elric You're likely referring to the Stanford Prison Experiment or something that emulated them, which investigated the effects of controlled authoritarian settings with a dominant and subservient class on human behavior. However, this isn't in any way related to human behavior while filmed. Moreover, while your supposition may be plausible in settings where people are recorded for extended periods of time, i.e. weeks or months, comparing that to streamers is unrealistic since they have the capacity to turn off their stream, re-center and be themselves for several hours and retain full autonomy in regards to when and for how long they are filmed. I don't doubt many aspects of streamers' personalities come out in their online personas, but the likelihood that these online persona are exaggerated for the sake of driving traffic to their platform is likely extremely high, nearly approaching a guarantee.

I have no idea what is he is like on stream (never have seen him before or heard of him before this video) but judging from this video he seems mentally challenged. Can’t really say that makes him likable to me, but perhaps that is just my taste in intelligent humans.
He's definitely have some controversy with his online toxicity, but it's nice to see that he's a chill fellow in reality. His chess content with Hikaru was entertaining imo. Sometimes wholesome and other times just plain experimentation and fun.

The thing with XQC is that he has to move around very frequently, due to how many viewers leak his address, SWAT him, etc, so the room in this video isn’t really his ‘permanent’ room, he’s only been in there a relatively short time. Fun fact, he moves so frequently into new spaces to stream, he has a whole Amazon wishlist setup where he just auto buys it all to setup his new rooms to stream whenever he moves places.

Loved the vid...that xqc guy is the literal definition of what adhd looks like, they look to be all over the place but if they find something passionate to focus on their intelligence will surprise u everytime.
Normally i can't watch XQC for more than a minute, but in this video he actually behaves almost like a real Human.
I thought I was the only one...
Yeah, I can't watch streamers like him at all, but in this video, he seemed like a pretty cool bloke. Albeit a little hyper 😅
They all put on acts for their streams to some extent. It's probably really hard to be in front of a camera all day with 50k people watching and just be yourself.
