Very informative video on ITB's. If you haven't fixed your heater core valve problem yet and if you're running a radiator e-fan. What you can do is cut a slit on the subframe engine mount bracket to slide the engine forward. I'm not sure how much space you need to clear the filter base plate. But that modification is a common one back in thr day when dropping 3TC engines in the AE86 chassis. I wish i could show you want I'm talking in a picture. But i think it would be better than twisting up the valve or trying to source new lines etc.
Currently in the process of fitting throttles onto a 2l 8v opel Kadett E GSI, im waiting for a alloy plate to come im so i can weld them to the manifold from the old opel intake as the ports do not line up properly. Im going to use the opel side intake that will go via pipes to the plate, that will then go to the 20v 43mn itbs. Not as straight forward as there are no bolt on kits available for my application 😂
Got my hands on the adapter plate. Just waiting on the seller to tell me when I can collect. Then I'll be sourcing the ITBs(which we refer to as throttles in South Africa). I was told the 43mm silvertop work netter than the 45mm blacktop ITBs. What's your take on this?? Oh and I'm building a Toyota AE82.
From everyone I’ve talked to blacktop ITBs are better but also a lot more rare. If you can find blacktops for a decent price get those but I wouldn’t pay double for them.

@@hakosan86 thanks. I'll try that route. However everyone here in South Africa says the Black top throttles run a bit richer than Silvertop
I want itb but can I afford it is the real question….I know I know save up little by little…love the car hopefully we get some driving vlogs 👍
