As someone who’s lived in dublin my whole life I’m acutely aware of how many tourists this city attracts and yet I’m still always surprised when I hear about a celebrity or influencer or someone I follow coming here, like omg you chose to visit my quaint little hometown (major european capital with a population of over 1 million)
I'm literally flying out for my first big girl solo trip for work next week and honestly this video helped my anxiety a lot. Not in an "if Nisa of all people can do this" type of way but more in a "yes travel is safe and wonderful and eye opening and it will be intimidating but also so worth it" kind of way
such a cozy video and you not wanting to film people or have your phone out is just extremely relatable and also a very respectful way of vlogging I feel. Like you successfully conveyed the vibes anyway
i think it’s nicer to have people in vlogs sitting down and telling you what they did in the day instead of physically showing you every interaction it’s more intimate
"I've been saying washroom so people think I'm Canadian" sksndshsbdihd. As a Canadian I cannot emphasize the absolute cackle I let out at this sentence. Also very familiar with older men coming up to me with the "are you East African?" line except I actually am so I lie and say I'm Greek lmaooooo. Also also, Ireland is on my list of places to visit when I have the dinero to do so and this little trip vlog was such a lovely reminder of that goal.
I wanted to confess that when I was only a few weeks out of foster care and finally in a safe place of my own, I had a dream that I was about 15, in foster care again and I was emergency placed with nisa. she was very kind and said a lot of things that were very healing to me--dream nisa was not used to foster care and thusly confused and outraged by the procedures required, as well as very proud of me for overcoming those obstacles--but we still had to part ways because she was not ready to take care of a whole child at that time this was my first good dream in years and I wish I was more poetically inclined so I could explain the way the whole dream warmed me up from the inside of my soul and honestly gave me so much closure on something as traumatizing and unclosure-able as the foster care system. thank you youtuber nisapisa for being the only truly kind foster parent of my life. in my dream. I appreciated it still
First time a youtube comment got me teary-eyed 🥹❤️ That dream sounds amazing. Nisa has such an accepting energy. I hope you are having good dreams more often now ✨🌙
Last April I got laid off and found out my dad's cancer was back on the same day, the day after my birthday. I didn't want to be sad, so I went to Ireland for a week. I had a very similar trip to you, I think we even had the same tour guide on the Cliffs of Moher bus tour. It's crazy to see you in the same places I was when my life felt very uncertain and the parasocial relationship is really parasocialing rn
i teared up a little when you talked about being terrified before going on the trip. somehow i feel as though you being brave enough to go on a trip by yourself gave me a bit of strength. also burgerstory. your comedic timing is impeccable, as always
Your reaction to the cliffs of Moher makes me so happy! We tend to take things for granted here in Ireland! Glad you had a good time! So sorry about the weirdo from the start of the video Also, the fact that you took this trip alone is so amazing. You should be proud of yourself! That's scary shit. Go you!
It's so interesting to see someone walk around the place I've lived my whole life for the first time. I'm glad you had a fun trip! I really want to take a solo vacation someday
im packing my bag and psyching myself up to fly and bus by myself to visit my sister for the holidays and last time i tried i had such a bad anxiety attack i had to like pay the cancellation fee and shamefully stay home so this is nice and motivating and im proud of u too cause a trip like that looks rly hard . burgerstory
I’m so happy you had such a fun time here! 🇮🇪 I love starting conversations with tourists and engaging new people - it’s definitely a trait of the Irish, we’re very warm, social people! ☘️
Not to be like "hey Nisa! Travel to a different country for my viewing pleasure!" but if you ARE tempted to make a travel vlog again in the future, please please do film it. This was such a pleasant video to watch 💕
I also traveled for the first time internationally this month alone for work and it was really cool and rewarding! Glad to see other girlies also solo traveling and thriving 🥰
I (also American) had the privilege to travel to Ireland with my family about 7 years ago and it changed my life. It's such a beautiful place with wonderful people and I am SO glad you got to visit ❤️
GIRL!! I can't believe you were here!! I'm from Dublin and taking my first solo trip in February to Edinburgh. This makes me so excited that lots of girlie's are solo travelling these days. I hope you had a great time here x
So happy you had a great time! I've been thinking about going on a solo-vacation for a while but I didn't end up doing it because I was so scared. So this video was really inspiring to me :) maybe next year I'll have the same courage as you
I went to Ireland for a friend’s wedding in 2015. One of my first nights in Dublin I was unexpectedly without plans. I kept passing by the Whiskey Museum, and figured I might as well go in. It was super fun and informative. Plus they recommended the best little bar nearby (Bowes) that wasn’t touristy, and the bartender and other patrons were super kind and fun to chat with!
I'm going on kind of a solo vacation, I'm flying to the place alone but I'm staying with a friend but because of all the things I want to do and the other people I have to see I technically will be. I'm so nervous but so excited at the same time, its weird how so many other people also dream of solo travelling
The last vacation I took literally right before the pandemic was a solo trip to Ireland-- such an amazing country with the nicest people. Glad you had a good time and here's to more solo vacations!!
This was so surreal for me! I'm from Dublin and when I go back I normally am in the city centre (where you visited), but sadly I missed the opportunity to bump into you since I was away. (I've studied in Poland for almost 3 years now, so I mostly live there). I genuinely teared up seeing all of these formative places for me, through your lens and seeing you genuinely get excited about them made me so happy. I can't wait to go home again, and I'm so glad you're thinking of travelling somewhere else too. Hoping I can go to the US someday
thank you Nisa... I had a really long day traveling home alone after a family holiday and felt lonely back in my bed and so tired from traveling. This felt like sharing an experience with a friend. Adulting is hard. Please keep making vlogs. Goodnight
this was such a lovely video to watch!!! what an incredible and beautiful thing that you were able to take the leap of a solo trip and have such a fulfilling time :) very inspiring!!
i say cheers in response to Everything and i feel so validated rn :) also lol at the trying to seem canadian thing - im a canadian & when i went traveling the first time on my own & was looking up tips i mostly found things geared towards us/americans and it was HILARIOUS to me the amount of things that boiled down to "pass yourself off as a canadian" like putting a canadian flag on your luggage etc
i'm home from my first semester of college and have just been languishing so this video is healing me edit: going feral because i'm LITERALLY ALSO READING ADA RN I"M HALFWAY THROUGH DO YOU LIKE OTHER NABOKOV WORKS BC HE'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS
Girl I hope you have a wonderful solo trip in Dublin, however honestly you can chill a little on the ironing board security system etc, thankfully we have a pretty safe country 😀
I love travelling alone and doing whatever I want. I'm leaving for a month-long trip to New Zealand in a week and I'm excited and kinda terrified. I'll have to drive on the opposite side of the road! :o
when i saw you came to ireland on insta i was so happy, wish i bumped into you, glad you had a fun time even if the weather was particularly shit the past month or two :)) fair play for a solo-trip
I'm usually not interested in vlogs, in general, but seeing you traveling to Dublin was fenomenal, it was so entertaining and almost relaxing. I would love to see more of your travel vlogs! 😊
Just wanted to say, because i can see the views on this vid are not as high as most of your other recent vids. But this truly was a lovely video to watch ♥
Thank you for sharing your experience. Ireland is definitely one of the countries I hope to travel to some day. Such beautiful scenery. I’m glad you had a great trip!
I love seeing you wearing jewelry, it makes me feel more brave to do so too. So I just bought the earrings and rings I was eyeing for a long time. thank you!
Hell yeah, good for you dude ✨ I love solo traveling within my country, hopefully I can do something international within the next 5 years!! Be safeeee
You’ve been to books upstairs! I’m there all the time! Wild. Also laughed at you going to Sweeneys and then ignoring Hodges Figgis bookshop, also in Ulysses, for the Pret next door. It’s not preserved or anything though.
I’m trying to plan a trip to Dublin that I would take after college, may I ask if you had any tips for being able to afford it? (Obviously having a job but I’ve got that part DOWN)
So glad you had a good time in Dublin......the National Art Gallery and the Museum are free and a great experience ...when I go to Dublin I'm always careful about my Bag I wear a cross over with a strong strap and zip or else take out all important items and put them in an inside pocket....... It is so awfull to have important things stolen ......just be aware that there are pickpockets out there and if you are reading a map or concentrating on something you might be ripped of......the buzz in Dublin can be better than anyplace I have ever been........it's now very metropolitan with people's from over the world in Dublin and all over Ireland....... But it's expensive
I just got back from my semester in Ireland and this got me all in my feels so thank you for this Nisa. I was in Limerick so seeing footage of Bunratty and the west coast was amazing
When I saw the Bog Bodies it was set up next to the little food court so I was looking at these preserved jerky people while the scent of beef stew wafted through the area.
What's with rhe ironing board against the door? Door lock not work? Glad you enjoyed your trip to ireland- glad you didn't try squeeze everything you could have into one short trip. More to experience next time you come back.

Dublin is not a major European capital.
