I had a similar experience except instead of a styrofoam ball it was a pumpkin I got on a school field trip to the pumpkin patch. I kept it in my closet until it was a rotten mess and I sobbed when my mom threw it away.

I have formed deep emotional connections with so many stuffed animals at thrift and antique stores that my room is basically a foster home for vintage bears. I really enjoy these collection type videos! Honestly, I’ve been slowing down I watching the”serious” RUclipsrs and video essayists. Sometimes, life is intense and thinking about bigger things is hard. I think creators who talk about things they like or dislike is soothing, especially in times when things are scary. Everybody buys and accumulates things, and it’s fun to think about the stories behind stuff!

Thank the gods above that you've gotten into perfume oils too, I turn into a straight gremlin for niche perfume houses- I recommend Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab and Nui Cobalt if you want to spiral even more into the world of perfume oils! They sell 4/5 dollar 1 ml samples that I've spent at least 60 dollars on so far in total and I will continue that endeavor as long as I can

My faves are things like amber, vetiver, gourmand, spice, fruit. I'm surprised when I like a floral cuz I find them to be pedestrian, but You is warmer than most tend to be. Opting out of the powdery direction.
My other favourites are YSL illicit green and Ellis Sunfruit 🤗
@@nailinthefashion i love smoky or citrusy notes, depending on what mood I'm in! Florals can be very hit or miss for me but if they aren't too sweet i prefer that. I love grassy, fresh scents as well but i feel like those aren't as common. I'm just getting into this stuff so i don't always know what I'm talking about but its fun to discuss ahaha

I found you from a window shopping video, and went backwards through your catalog. I have never been into makeup, but I love following along with your videos and peering into this hobby I know nothing about. Your videos remind me of the youtubers I watched when I was a kid. I miss when vloggers actually did video blogs, and talked about their interests, rather than portraying aspirational and unachievable happiness and wealth. Your channel is the only one I know of that still gives me that, and it's soothing and nostalgic to just put on in the background and hear the chatter and remember that everyone has similar issues and thoughts and was similarly embarrassing on tumblr as a kid. I think you're naturally entertaining and funny, I love your beauty company skits, I love window shopping, and I'll love to keep up with any new ventures you may go into. And if you decide you want to leave RUclips, so be it! But just if these kinds of simple talking videos are fun for you, know there will always be appreciators for that!

ain't a damn thing wrong with having emotional attachments to inanimate objects!! imo it's much better (and much less consumerist) to enjoy the possessions you have for their own sakes- their utility, their beauty, the memories you associate with them- rather than viewing them as throw-away or interchangeable, or viewing the purchase/acquiring of objects as an end in itself.
im gonna ramble for a second sorry: your last perfume collection video was a big part of why i got weirdly into perfume for a hot minute earlier this year (currently giving my wallet a break for a while before i jump back into it.) i hadn't bought any fragrances in quite some time, since my favorite indie perfume maker had to shut down some years ago- ZOMG Smells, you will be missed- and your video reminded me of what i loved about finding scents that really Did Something for me, whether that was activating a scent memory, evoking a place or time i'd never actually experienced, or just acting as the perfect complement to a super-specific mood. i've also been dealing with covid-related changes to my sense of smell for about a year now, and perfume has helped remind me that things will be okay even if my sense of smell never goes "back to normal." even if this scent doesn't smell the same as it did last month, that's all right; in another two months it may smell different again. (after hearing you rave about Nest perfumes, i bought a sample set; Wisteria Blue isn't my favorite, but i ended up really loving Golden Nectar and Indigo!)
