- OpTic Gaming came second at the last tournament, MLG Anaheim. The games with EG came really close and anyone could have won. OpTic played really well at Anaheim and 3-0d every team apart from EG who played Insane so props to them. This was also probably Scumps best tournament, He played out of his mind! OpTic Gaming's roster consists of Nadeshot, Scumpii, Clayster and Proofy. Should I make one for OpTic Nation at MLG Anaheim? Let me know!

Had to come back and watch this after COD Champs 2019 and the last stand of Optic, genuinely been a part of my life for years and this was such a fun time during that period
one of the most memorable optic teams
Izzy Martin Oh 100%, loved that team!
SteveJC they were amazing i didn't miss one game when the played at the x-games,it sucks they got rid of clayster he was a beast
I was 14 when this happened. I’m 20 now crazy memories man.
those were the days
I know right
This montage is what made me love cod and optic. Damn these were the days. 🥺❤️
Ah, my childhood, Optic back in the day when I was 10 years old, missing this squad and the old cods rn 😭
the nostalgia is overwhelming 😭
Thanks everyone for the support on this video! I can hopefully make a montage on OpTic Nation at G3 when they upload the Vod's but would you like to see me make montages of other teams and if so who? I was thinking maybe an nV montage since they won G3, let me know!
nV montage! :D
Faze. They went off against EG at G3
Excuse me can I use this to start off my RUclips channel please?
can u upload umc optic nation montage again from ghost lol
Still coming back every year to watch my childhood and this absolute masterpiece of a montage
5:54 "what the fuck am I doing with my life"
Good joke
This is what made most of us fall in love with COD this team right here
This is the best montage ive ever watched. Best team and the music went soooo perfectly. Thank you for the video man :D
Watching this again during champs 2021, the nostalgia is real
This video gives me goosebumps everytime
Man, I'm tired of everyone saying Cod isn't competitive. I look at MLG the same way some people look at NBA or NFL. Just because I don't like Football, does that mean it is not competitive? Everyone likes different things, people need to understand that!
I 100% agree with you!
Ahah what sport is your favourite?
GammaVeyron Learn how to "+" someone pussy.
Nah...
GammaVeyron you favorited your own comment? Sad 😂😂
To all those people that say that why are people getting so hyped over a video game and how this game is considered competitive, you're delusional. Sports are competitive. Athletes train almost everyday with a few breaks in between. They compete for money, for a trophy, and for pride. They get so hyped and excited when they win the championship.
It's the same exact thing in competitive Call of Duty. They all train, compete for something, and they obviously get really hyped when winning a championship or moving to the next round just like in physical sports.
E-sports is a real sport. The only difference is the physical aspect. Rather than training physically, competitive Call of Duty players train in-game to improve in-game smarts, etc.
It really irritates me when I go back and watch OpTic Gaming highlights or whatever and I see hate comments hating on the atmosphere and competitive aspect of Call of Duty. It is part of their lives.
OpTic NaDeSHoT has gotten so successful from, guess what....yes, competitive Call of Duty. He has a BMW, a huge house where he lives with his teammates or should I say most of his teammates to gain more chemistry, and overall he's very successful and popular. He started off in McDonald's with no straight path in his life. He was playing Call of Duty since his parent's got him a Xbox 360; when he was about 13/14. He kept 'grinding' the game during his hard days in McDonald's. He sold his laptop and saved up enough money from McDonald's to buy a PC for streaming on Twitch and making RUclips content. His first years weren't very exciting and he thought of going back to working in McDonald's, until he got a chance to play in a tournament called COD XP with a $1 million prize pool. He kept practicing to become a smarter and more skillful player.
He, fortunately won the tournament and took $100,000 from the $400,000 awarded to his team. He quickly caught an eye to many other competitive Call of Duty players and fans. He got sponsors very quickly such as RedBull. He got a lot of money from streaming, but soon MLG (Major League Gaming) offered him an exclusive spot to stream on their website. This would enable him to get more money and be part of a working team to improve MLG streaming. He took the offer, but not only for the money, also for the chances to improve MLG streaming to give his fans a more comfortable website to watch his streams on. To this day, he has been the most famous and most successful competitive Call of Duty player to ever live.
I know they went to a little biography, but I just wanted to prove my point that competitive Call of Duty is just like any other sport and that people could find a way to become successful from it.
Sorry for the long passage :S.
Muerked Damn that was an essay man! You made some really good points and hopefully people new to the scene will read this before hating, thanks for sharing this! :)
Brooooooo I’ve been going through all these optic montage’s the nostalgia from back in the day… going into ranked play thinking your scump 😂😂
Glad they added that nadeshot speech at the end. Nade showing why he's the leader.
love how the song goes with the atmosphere of the game
7 years later I watch this every month thank you for these highlights man I hope you make more soon
Great Montage... I didn't watch the MLG Championships but i gotta say that I love how there is music in the background but you can still hear the commentators do their thing.
Ghost is one of my favorite CoDs and this Optic roster brings back so much nostalgia, ghost was a big piece of CoD history.❤️ This was a Dream Team. Amazing chemistry between all of them.
This montage is awesome, music is artfully done and goes in snyc with so many of the clips. Hands off to you great job, I never get tired of watching this lol.
Damn, Almost 300,000K views and 4K likes, I really appreciate everyone who watched this video! If you enjoyed be sure to check out my other videos, subscribe or even follow me on twitter @iSteveJC, Thank you all so much!
Yet you have less than 500K views and 5K likes. Be proud of this, I think I won't reach these statistics.
SteveJC what song is this
+SteveJC 700k now :)
favorite optic team and favorite competitive cod montage ever. i miss these days
Had to come back and watch this.
All this video needs is air horn solos and bottles of Mt. Dew flying across the screen.
Still nostalgic as fuck, I just thought about the good days with the boys trying to be as good as these guys back in jr high and HighSchool. Good times!
I honestly loved watching this optic gaming team even though they are not as good as the team now on BO4 but this team had that attitude and cockiness in the right way because they backed it up. Makes me hyped
Love the montages you do on the OpTic squad, keep them coming please.
Sick video! Props to you for taking the time and effort into making this! Optic played well, I reckon they deserved the win.
Resi Bank They played very well and came very close, thank you!
Watching it live, and coming back over a decade later. How does it still feel like yesterday?
gotta come rewatch this gem once a year :D
I never loved a team as much as I loved this one. Fuck, i miss those days. 2017 and still watching your amazing montage Steve, thank you so much for your amazing contents.
Man I really loved this team so much you honestly make the best montages!!!!!
Absolutely amazing video! Please do these for every event, these are the best cod montages I have seen.
Thanks, means a lot! Plan is to hopefully be doing these for most of the upcoming events.
Optic are CoD Legends... This should be taught in history lessons in schools. Especially Scump. He is amazing and my inspiration.
vX Prise Whatch pro cs go see the skill you actually need to get head shots with no aim assist.
seb cho they are a bunch of old/ lifeless boring people with no imagination at all. No intensity at all
vX Prise thank you finally someone understands
Chris The Kid NY 👍
Lmao idiotic CoD fanboy
My personal favorite Optic team, so much energy and memories 😢
Quality video. Captured the best moments of Anaheim, perfectly!
The Dream Team on COD
Clayster
ProoFy
Scump
Nadeshot
Awesome vid man. thanks for making. New optic squad is awesome
2:55
My favorite part because you can really sense the feeling that Nade has. Well done.
Yeah I like that part to, You can see he really showing his true passion for gaming. Thanks!
this gave me the the hardest goosebumps in the world
It's really refreshing to see some pro players acting calmly (ok sometimes bursts of joy :-) ), but still....cool video.
Nade, clay, and proof... The feels :( ghosts xgames was first event I ever watched, I miss these guys
Finally this video gets the recognition it needs! Nice job, man.
Thanks man!
this is really good, Optic was HYPE! Deserved to win Anaheim, so many great plays
Dkisthebeast Thanks man, they were and probably could have pulled of the win if they won that octane dom!
This just reminded me of how much OpTic choked, don't get me wrong I love them, but this was EG's tournament to win. They clutched up that Octane dom like no other
I just want to say that this is a really good montage, good job bro! :D
mannnn this vid brings back so much memories
I watch at least once a day miss the old optic squad
same
Bro this was amazing! I love OpTic and you made it even better;) Subbed!
Luke Tha Creep Thanks a lot Bud! :)
This was my 2014 COD motivation when ever i would play brings back memories 4 years later 💯👌🏽
OG for life baby
One of the best optic rosters ever in my opinion
Seriously, PERFECT montage.Nice choice of music.
Thanks a lot man!
OpTic is such a good group, all awesome players.
Beautiful times when this happened
3 Years later and still amazing
favorite team of all time
OpTic Gaming deserved to win! they went massive at Anaheim!
Bro props to you these montages are amazing, i seriously feel you should get into contact with optic and mlg and work out some sort of business agreement in making more of these for them, good work keep it up !!! (:
They didn't loose a single map to any other team besides EG. It prove they're the second best team
2022 and still get goosebumps watching this video
OpTic has come a long way. :3
They sure have!
Amazing montage man! I love it!
Oh, I thought this was a mantage parody...
unwow. much disappoint. not enough water. 0/420 --IGN
Best montages I've ever seen! I've been returning everyday watching this over and over for the past week! I love this video and your x-games montage! You are gaining a sub for sure and you deserve so many more! Please keep doing this I don't just enjoy watching your videos I love watching them! And thanks for including NadeShots little speech! Over all AMAZING video!
Damn, Thanks a lot man! Didn't think people would enjoy them as much as they are! I appreciate It a lot!
Dang, Scump is a boss, he played spectacular the whole tournament. Proofy plays bad, then he goes off and plays great and kills everyone for a round, then he plays bad again. Nadeshot plays well usually, but he'll have some rounds where he dies early and barely even puts up a fight. Clayster has progressed a ton since this, now he's top 5. In this he was okay. Didn't play great. But he was consistently okay.
I love this montage man, keep it up after G3.
cant believe its been 10 years
Hands down best game for comp cod! Most hype over any other game too, was truly the best time in comp cod!
Memories 💚
2018... love all these guys
Best montage i love the new clips at xgames just amazing !
Clayster brought so much hype when competing with optic man..
i was 13 here and now i'm 22, such amazing memories
Crazzzy man I’m 22 aswell. Great memories
i remember sitting in my grandparents living room, supposed to be doing math homework, but watching this video instead. i remember watching Clay’s stream on MLG.tv(lmao) and just wanting so badly to go pro like them. i was 15 and these guys helped me forget about the bullshit in my life. I wasn’t good at BO2 or Ghosts when they were out but as soon as i got my hands on AW i started grinding and doing everything i could to learn the ins and outs of competitive cod. all because of this video. (also i will literally smoke every single person in this comment section at BO2, Ghosts, AW, BO3, and MW now, i learned how to play the game lmao.
remember these days man🥺🥺
It's 2017. I miss these days so much, Clay was the best fit for optic but he has the core 4 on FaZe. Honestly i think Optics "god squad" has been lackluster for what they should have been
Who’s watching in 2019!!? Nostalgic as fuck 😭
great video man! Love Optic!
do u have a scuf or cinch controller i can have?
had to come back to this masterpiece😪🥹
Best team eSports has ever seen in my opinion
Idc what anyone says this is by far better than the cdl
I miss these days
The ultimate fanboy video.
How? If this was a montage of EG I wouldn't be a classed as a fanboy but because its a video of OpTic I am. You can't support OpTic nowadays without because classed a "fanboy" becuase of all the kids who hate on all the other teams and "fanboy" OpTic. Its sad as I have been around for a long time and know a lot about competitive Cod but because I like the most popular team im a "fanboy".
SteveJC Why wouldnt you show the end of the octane dom vs EG To end the video
SawInSite I actually don't know if anyone made any plays at the end of the octane dom as OpTic lost the map but the end of the VOD was corrupt and I didn't see any point in downloading it again as it takes some time on my connection. The ending was a little abrupt though.
go fuck yourself
SteveJC
Right? I met KR3W in 2007 and became good friends with him and a few of the other OGs and I've been SUPPORTING them since before they uploaded a RUclips video, I still get called a fanboy when I know more about the game than 95% of the people playing it. It just doesn't feel right to support anyone else, Denial's good too though.
This is what life is all about doing something what you love and getting paid for it!
This is one of the best team optic ever had
+Leanardo Turnquest The current roster is probably the best CoD roster of all time.
this was my favorite optic team... they were sooooo good
Happier times man :’(
How the fuck is this shit game even considered competitive?
Ravelord Nito Are they 'competing' for money? Yes. Are they 'competing' for a championship? Yes, etc. Its competitive even if the game is bad.
Why the fuck are you watching this?
Hilarious how this competitive game gets nadeshot and others over 6 digits a year. ya its shit and they are pathetic. definately
Everybody saying this shit isn't competitive and that it is easy: Go fucking play it, and try it out. It's not as fucking easy as you might think. You actually need to have tons of practice, just like a real sport.
I'm pretty sure that men who get paid more than $500,000 aren't virgins.
When OpTic 3-0 nV the crowd became so loud. I bet the players even heard in the booths
Proofy is the best pick up OpTic has ever made.
People who say Optic sucks clearly knows absolutely zero about the pro circuit... I mean for one thing they're playing other pro's, it's not like they're playing against first time noobs. If you were better than them, then you'd be the guy with a pro team. They won a 5k only a couple days ago against clans like FaZe and Noble... so yeah.
I wish I was in optic it seems to be so fun and supporting and extremely intense when playing like that
1 year ago... Time flies
Subbed! Make more videos like this! This is amazing! Great Job man!
the best montage by far you earned a sub
Thanks!
