Excellently presented. Another Washington state murders were the last 2 murders by the Hillside Strangler, up from CA, in late '78. earliest '79. .He was caught in Bellingham. His last were college students, Western Wash U. Happened just before I started college there.

True. People here are psychos. Just look at Seattle and the amount of killers from here. This place is errie. I was once woken up by a random photographer in the forest at 2am. Thankfully I'm still alive and he just wanted to see the stars but, it was still very creepy and scars me to this day.
My dad worked at Kenworth trucking in the early to mid 80s at the same time Gary Ridgeway AKA The Green River Killer did…my dad has been gone for years but, I’m sure he crossed paths with him or maybe knew of him. I was born and raised in Auburn and I remember growing up and hearing about the women that were found in the Green River and not far from home so, to me The GRK was the real “Boogeyman” while growing up. It was scary knowing there was an evil scary killer close to home & I will never forget the day he was caught and it was on every local news channel. Thank you for doing this video. I enjoyed watching it 😊

I just realized that the Queensryche song 'Empire' starts out describing the chinatown ruclips.net/video/NSTct2FFamw/видео.html murders in the same way you mentioned news reports... I had never connected the two before, even though I have lived in Washington, Seattle & Spokane most of my life. I was living in Spokane in 1983, but moved to Seattle(Federal Way) in 1984, so I had heard about the 13 dead in chinatown a lot. The song says 10, so maybe thats what made me think the song way just in a more general "all areas of the U.S." but when you said being in the wrong place at the wrong time, well, it was obvious they put that in their song. Kinda cool imo... Great job on the stories.🤘 Waiting for more... 😈
As a life long resident of Washington state I can attest to the fact that it has truly breathtaking and vastly diverse views. There's no shortage of amazing outdoor activities, surprisingly delicious local wines, and almost any climate one could want to live in all in the same state. The people, however, aren't usually very friendly. Maybe it's all the serial killers who have called this place home in just the last 50 years. Don't believe me? Do a little research.
Stellar coverage, thank you kindly!! I look forward to more cases, I'm hearing things I've never heard about before. It's like a lil bit of history & background.
I will be 100% honest with you I’ve lived in Washington, my whole life, and when people say we’re friendly, it makes me laugh, because we are not at all. I know you all have heard of the Seattle freeze but it’s kind of the whole state you really have to grow on us before we let you in…
I heard that the vibe is similar to Norway - where a lot of immigrants came from - more reserved, introverted - it is considered unusual to interact with strangers - like talking on a bus
This lush Evergreen state is haunting and creepy in so many ways. Low hanging cloud and rain for 9 months of the year on the coast to the endless dense forests
Seattle is now far from peaceful….and has never been particularly friendly. The Seattle freeze is a real thing…peeps here are incredibly standoffish and passive aggressive.
The Susan Cox Powell case was absolutely bizarre in that Josh Powell's father was also involved to some extent as I seem to remember. Josh's father had a very unhealthy obsession with Susan, his own daughter in law. He would watch and follow her almost to the point of stalking, and she was very aware of this. It made her very uncomfortable, as it probably would to anyone. He also had written down what his fantasies were regarding Susan, and I believe the police became aware of this too, but too late to help Susan by that point. I always thought that the father had something to do with Susan's disappearance and ultimate murder, along with his son Josh. Both men seemed to have had some mental problems, it would seem. When Josh became aware that he was the main suspect in his wife's disappearance, he chose to take his own life and the lives of his and Susan's two boys, like the coward that he was. I don't know exactly what happened with Josh's father, but I hope he got help for his unhealthy obsession. I personally think he should probably be in prison, as he certainly had knowledge of, or helped his son in taking Susan's life, and disposing of her body and other evidence. Thanks for another excellent video, and thank you for sharing with us all! Please keep it up. I suspect that you will begin acquiring many new subscriptions in the near future.
I don't know what you think police or others should have done for Susan Coxe Powell, or why you say they failed her. As far as I can learn, she confided in family and friends. She left notes. Her disappearance was investigated. TD for this video.

I was just scrolling around on Google Earth and was in the Toutle, St. Helen's area and it occurred to me. When St. Helen's erupted it affected the landscape and every waterway in the Cascades & beyond. We may never find some of these missing victims if they were left in or by a river. I wonder if there is any way to figure out how far the lahar could have carried possible victims bodies. I can't be the only one who has added that element. Someone smarter than me has to have thought of that & figured out something by now, right? Sorry, I forgot to be specific to those crimes committed before the eruption.
