What happened
0:55 holy shit is that I-70 at the IN/OH border? I've driven through there multiple times and for some reason it's burned into my brain
Now think if you've ever driven past Jacob while he's sprinting on his way to inform people about the FedEx logo.
another thing to note about the ps1 logo is it's silhouette, it has more of a unique shape to it compared to other logos and that's what really makes it stand out.
when I first saw the logo as a kid, I didn't even realise it was a p and an s because of how abstract it was but it still stuck in my mind because it's general shape was so iconic.
I love how the animation of the switch logo add to it.. The motion and sound effect of it bring you back to the first time you slide in your gameboy cartridge and the click just resonates with the feeling when you attach the controllers
Such a satisfying click!
It also works really well in the ads since the click of the joycons feels like the click of the black square that appears before the start of a scene in a movie (sorry i forgot the name lol)
For a while, I didn’t realize the PlayStation logo was a P and S. I thought it was some weird symbol, like the “D” in Walt Disney.
I thought I was the only person that thought the d in Disney was a weird symbol for most of my life.

The Playstation Logo always reminds me of Pizza Hut.

I remember GameXplain pointing it out wayyy back when the Switch was first revealed.
I spent my hole life not knowing the Play Station logo is a P and an S!!!! Also you forgot to say that the Play Station logo is also looks like a 3D image!!!

Oh my god the E in the Nintendo Switch logo fits perfectly in the space between the two joycons. Unreal
My favorite part about the N64 logo is that the colors match the controller's button; The two most common colors in the logo being blue and green representing how the A and B buttons are the main focus, the least common color being red represents the start button, and my favorite part is the four yellow squares at the top mimicking the C-Buttons.
I never thought about the Switch logo resembling Yin and Yang. Thanks for making me feel more human Jacob.
Not so long ago it was leaked an image with above 70+ Wii logos Nintendo tried before deciding on the one we know.

I saw the new KIA logo on a car today and spent 5 minutes with my dad trying to figure out who KN was. Once we figured out it was KIA I started yelling about kerning and how everything could be fixed if they put any spacing at all between the I and A. So I guess I learned something thanks to you. I am now convinced that the Xbox logo is the reason why I associate gaming with the color green more than nay other color. Well maybe black for the hardware for the last few generations. But I mean for the tech and getting in the game.

Your editing skills are pretty great, I won't lie. But there's a certain...heart that your videos are missing. You say a lot how you are passionate about things (games, graphic design), but you are pretty consistently monotone and subdued about it. There is a certain lack of truly communicating your feelings, and making yourself relatable or at least identifiable. I don't mean to take a jab at who you are as a person, I bet you're a great guy, but as a RUclips personality...this puts you behind the other giants of videogame commentary (like nakeyjakey, who we both know you obviously take notes on).
I am still subbed and will watch your videos, but my constructive criticism is this; when you have segments that (in the context of a normally expressive RUclipsr) would be subdued and embrace the silence and awkward cadence of real life conversation/interaction (i.e., sans video essay jump-cuts), the momentum of the video is brought to a screeching halt. It is consistently jarring when you do this, given your persona the rest of the time. Honestly, I would downplay moments like that, despite how it might be tempting to do so, to feel that you are imbuing a sense of human bonding with your audience. Unless you step up some of your script reads, it will remain an off-putting element to the videos you make.
Best of luck, a fan with a critical eye.
