I love the look and feel of last resorts, but when it comes down to it blazers are still my all time favorite skate shoe for looks and function. They last a long time, they look great with baggy pants, and I really appreciate having some ankle protection.
i just got a pair of circa 805. they are the coolest looking shoes and so comfortable with all the padding and sole support. I think everyone should wear thick skate shoes even if they don't skate

Having a bit of a wide footed crisis here. Tried the NB 440v2s in wide which was crazy because no skate shoe company makes wides, not even NB until just this year. But even those were too narrow at the midfoot and a little at the toe. Etnies don't work (Kingpin), eS is similar (Accel Slim), Vans (Kyle walker, skate slip, sk8 hi) are too slim at the midfoot. I just need a shoe that's stupidly wide at the midfoot, heel and the toe. All the way around. Something that's almost too wide for most people. Any suggestions? also don't suggest sizing up. 1 size is too much in any brand and i'm a size 12 so 12.5 barely/doesn't exist.
I have a wide foot and the most comfortable shoe for me is a VERY broken in Nike Dunk SB. I hate that The most expensive shoe works best for me lol, my pockets are hurting. I also try to avoid the stiffer materials like nubuck

@@Santan2x Those feel super spacious at the toe but my arches/midfoot were spilling out pretty bad. Maybe they're supportive enough after break in to not hurt but it's a big risk at the retail price they're at after tax.
@@spht9ng Yeah they have a blue rubber/foam insole that’s really comfortable, and the lining is reinforced with a rubber and the laces are more durable than the regular ones. You should try them on at your local or the mall if you can.
Those Etnies raps skate really well, but after seeing some of the older colorways like dark green suede with black sole/laces and the old Etnies star logo I really hope they start making colorways like that. Also for me the Etnies snake skates super well and feels very comfortable to skate in, just switched the white laces to black and made the last lace loop be extra secure and the extra room in the toe made feeling the board easier.
such a sweet video. i have 3 pairs of skate shoes and they're all very different and i really like skating in all of them bc they are so different. one pair of vulcs and two pairs of cupsoles, lightest cupsole weighs less than half as the vulcs..and they are my favorite but i've gotten some bruised arches landing primo in them. even though the vulcs are heavy they feel really good and flick really well

I realized those Vans Skate Sport shoes are just the perfect skateshoe for me. Just great overall with zero break in time and they fit my short, wide feet perfectly. Sadly it seems they stopped making the Skate model just as I found them! Having a bit of a shoe crisis because of that. I always find my favorite skate shoe just as they stop making them!
The old skate shoe brand supra had the best skate shoe boxes really strong build quality and it would slide out with a metal ring so you could pull it out and put back in thats what ive used for about 10 years or so now 🔥🔥
I thought the mc rap shoe shape is the same as the Joslin/Marana. Maybe it's the design of the upper changing the way they look. Love the snake, actual interesting design on a shoe, and the last resort ab's.

I’m 33 been skating for 5months nonstop since my return, while it was mostly winter for you. Avoiding injuries is my favorite game to play. Lately when I land primo, I just end my sesh. Been having a lot of bad luck with my foot if I just keep going. I’m back foot heavy too so slamming down on a primo hurts one foot more than the other. The arch is also not very protected in most skate shoes, once you get a little lump in your arch you’ll be sorry when wondering if it’ll go away ever again. Unless I’m wearing some jordan 4’s SE. They have the only skatatable tread pattern on the outsole too. I’m really skating a pair of the new military blue and grey but I haven’t done certain tricks in them yet. No kickflips yet lol. I’m not skating af1’s but they’re also primo resistant. I also been skating sb dunks and if it’s a light primo, they’re fine. If I feel it, I might end the sesh. Otherwise it feels like I have an injury and blood has pooled on the site and it’s throbbing, aching, etc. The fascia of the foot is kinda sensitive and in general, like the arch, you don’t want to damage it by skating on a fresh injury.

For me, the Chuck Taylor CONS are the most comfortable shoe for me cause I have wide and flat feet too. You can usually get them on sale too!

If you possibly can, try some of the old Ishod Dunks, they were amazing to skate. I was very sad when I had to retire my last pair.
