These days rent is just as much as a house. Stay home if you can and if you're not married. Pay off student loans, get your credit to excellent and save for your 1st home. Inflation is real and wages didn't jump as high. Some kids making $16/hr can barely afford to live alone without struggling.

I think it depends on how old the kids are. If you have adult kids you can tell them who you are dating. But I wouldn't do it with young kids, they need stability. These days rent is just as much as a house. Stay home if you can and if you're not married. Pay off student loans, get your credit to excellent and save for your 1st home. Inflation is real and wages didn't jump as high. Some kids making $16/hr can barely afford to live alone without struggling.

I think it depends on how old the kids are. If you have adult kids you can tell them who you are dating.
But I wouldn't do it with young kids, they need stability. They wouldn't even meet a new love interest as "uncle". I wouldn't want to get them attached to someone who can be gone in 6 months or a year.

If my mother got divorced, if my mother never told the family she re married I would be fu*king upset and it would really hurt my feelings. She is still my mother and want her to be happy. If she kept it away from her family she’s dating someone or she got remarried and never told her children, no matter how old her children is, that is wrong and disrespectful toward her family and the adult children. I would NOT be okay with my mom hide it from me. I’m very grateful my parents are still together though.
