It's a beautiful looking watch, it will look equally good on a ladies wrist as a man's. But make sure you have a wrist circumference of at least 7" otherwise the watch may look too big on your wrist. Also the good thing is you can change the straps to suite your taste.

Many features of this watch outperform my Apple and Galaxy...if NFC and apps not a priority this watch is a significant improvement overall. Battery life, clarity, consistency of turning on, sound, answering calls all outstanding

Just ONE thing I'd change about it: Transflective display! I know it's now quite as flashy but in return you get a TRUE always on display which is sunlight viewable while still conserving power and not causing wear to the display. Having an Amazfit with transflective display all I can say is that it is so much underrated. Probably the vast majority of people don't understand undtil they've tried one for themselves but since transflectives are so rare they most likely don't. It's the story of the egg and the chicken.

It is a dual screen design with an old school segmented screen which means you're limited to info that manufacturer want you to have on the always on screen. Then how the watch is made. GT2 Pro is mechanically a modern industrial masterpiece in outstanding quality materials and machining - perfectly suited also when you're required to wear your nicest clothing. The TicWatch is the opposite - plastic body and something that wants to be an old Casio when it grows up. Sure they both fullfil many of the same wishes of their wearers but that's just about that.
@BeatSlayer I don't know why you feel the need to convince me about the TicWatch 3 Pro. Sure it has more app support but on the other hand Huawei does what 98% of smart watch users want it to do. I'd buy the TW 3 Pro in an instant if it has a nice metal business like casing and transflective display. I might live with its casing if all other criterias is meet and pricing is favorable. And I'd still want the transflective display. The amoled and segmented LCD is imho a bad compromize.

Whatsapp calls won't pop up on the watch, but if you answer on your phone, then you can hit the BT button and continue on the watch, great review, keep it up.

So iv come from a galaxy watch , i never used any of the "full functions" i just wanted health tracking and notifications and yes some thing comfortable that looks good. long battery life is a game changer, charge wireless on any standard charger. absolutely sold this as a no brainier its on sale Nov 2021 for £144 in the UK , 2 days and already love it, it does actually feel and look a $1000, sapphire and titanium at this price! . No google app store is the down side but i never really used my galaxy watch for any of that in the 4 years iv had it. this has everything i actually used any way and the health tracing and heart rate monitor is way better and its accurate
Spare silicon strap only comes with nebula grey if you order black strap you won’t get the leather one guys just a heads up. Not sure if they’ve actually changed it now. I’ve just ordered mine and can’t wait.
Looks like they brought back a similar design language from the original Huawei Watch, with the "lugs". I'm still rocking my 5 year old Huawei Watch since I just love how it looks. Nothing comes close until now with this GT2 Pro. On the GT2 Pro, at first I was thinking the bezels are impossibly thin and was waiting to see a light watch face to see the bezel thickness in reality. But then realized it has a normal size bezel in black, but with a black face it just disappears and gives the illusion of practically no bezel. That's a great look! But I do love the look on my OG watch with the silver bezel. I was set on upgrading my watch to the Ticwatch Pro 3, but now I'll have to consider this one. :)

Great review. Unfortunately the watch does not have fall detection (or am I wrong?) - so a no go for me. I am looking for a watch for my parents (both over 75). So fall detection is a must (now that it exists). Therefore only the Apple Watch and/or the Samsung Watch Active 2 / Watch 3 come into play. Pitty - this one is much more their style...

I bought is because of the built quality. Saphire crystal glass and Titanium frame body are essential for my activities. I have Samsung galaxy watch that I cant even use half of the features, all I do is basically receive calls while driving and monitor my steps and workout. I felt like I have 2 phones in using samsung watches, and I dont need that.

Generally, it seems no much difference from the GT2 except the screen glass and additional watch faces. I still love my GT2 with the stainless steel bracelet and yes, battery life is superb.
How long do the batteries last in terms of service life, as opposed to a charge cycle? I assume it's a throwaway watch once the battery is done since there's no way to open it for replacement. Will that expected to be two or three years?
I use GT2 for some time now, work/live in China and the local version has NFC, Alipay... This new Pro version, is just a more polished item, as for the software it is all absolutely identical, just the aesthetics. Personally will not upgrade mine to Pro, as I really like GT2, and I expect the new generation of Huawei watches to push the limits, bring something new, only then will I upgrade my amazing GT2. If you don't have a Huawei watch, try them, if you do have a GT or GT2, not worth an update, paying solely for looks.

Agree with your comments but needs to allow your chosen watch face as always on. I have an IOS phone and have been waiting for a round apple watch have the series 2 apple watch. Battery only lasts a day and a half. Any other users did not get the silicone strap in the box?? It is important you know how you will use the watch. For me battery life is very important since I don’t want to annoy my self on charging every single night. Long battery life means less charging hence longer battery life cycle. Materials should also be considered since unlike phones you don’t want to put your watch in cases cause it will ruin the aesthetic. I have a very sensitive skin and the back material is a concern of mine. Good screen that can work on any lighting condition is a must since you will spend most of your time on the screen. Intuitive UI is important since im kinda annoyed by confusing UI. Wide range of straps and the ease of changing them should also be considered. I don’t fancy many features since I’m an average user and is only concern about basic important features since I usually rely on my smart phone. Price should be considered since I don’t want to spend for a watch that offers less and just capitalizes on their brand. With all that, I think the GT2 pro takes the cake.
I like the GT2 pro design as the best . I found it is more elegant the glas is sitting as the frame look very thin . There is no pukle betwin the knobs as on the Samsung watch . The time it holds before I need to charge is amazing and the many functions i like it very much . Greetings from Denmark .

There is the Huawei app gallery and you can push apps from the Health app on your phone to the watch however there are only about 2 dozen apps beyond what is already installed. I have installed the pedal maps app and I kinda like it except that today it tried to get me to go the wrong way on a one-way.
A watch that pretty shouldn't use a ticking second hand... Wish that face had a sweeping second. I'm a sucker for a bezel. Love the Galaxy watch looks myself, but completely understand the love for the all-glass look.

Yes it will feel as big as the Apple Watch but might also feel slightly heavier too.

Hi, did you have a problem when you are using the bluetooth? I do. I have a problem when a makes calls because my cell ask me to select between the plantronics and my watch and that doesnt happen with my Galaxy Watch, can you help? Thanks
Generally, it seems no much difference from the GT2 except the screen glass and additional watch faces. I still love my GT2 with the stainless steel bracelet and yes, battery life is superb.

the huawei GT2 is at 201 USD and the GT2 pro 235 USD. you saying that its not worth paying the extra for the pro version?
How long do the batteries last in terms of service life, as opposed to a charge cycle? I assume it's a throwaway watch once the battery is done since there's no way to open it for replacement. Will that expected to be two or three years?
I use GT2 for some time now, work/live in China and the local version has NFC, Alipay... This new Pro version, is just a more polished item, as for the software it is all absolutely identical, just the aesthetics. Personally will not upgrade mine to Pro, as I really like GT2, and I expect the new generation of Huawei watches to push the limits, bring something new, only then will I upgrade my amazing GT2. If you don't have a Huawei watch, try them, if you do have a GT or GT2, not worth an update, paying solely for looks.

Agree with your comments but needs to allow your chosen watch face as always on. I have an IOS phone and have been waiting for a round apple watch have the series 2 apple watch. Battery only lasts a day and a half.
Any other users did not get the silicone strap in the box?? Excellent looking watch and has all the functions I need from a smart watch and looks better than apple. Thanks

I have my for a week super, all that i need and great design,super comfy.
It is important you know how you will use the watch. For me battery life is very important since I don’t want to annoy my self on charging every single night. Long battery life means less charging hence longer battery life cycle. Materials should also be considered since unlike phones you don’t want to put your watch in cases cause it will ruin the aesthetic. I have a very sensitive skin and the back material is a concern of mine. Good screen that can work on any lighting condition is a must since you will spend most of your time on the screen. Intuitive UI is important since im kinda annoyed by confusing UI. Wide range of straps and the ease of changing them should also be considered. I don’t fancy many features since I’m an average user and is only concern about basic important features since I usually rely on my smart phone. Price should be considered since I don’t want to spend for a watch that offers less and just capitalizes on their brand. With all that, I think the GT2 pro takes the cake.

I like the GT2 pro design as the best . I found it is more elegant the glas is sitting as the frame look very thin . There is no pukle betwin the knobs as on the Samsung watch . The time it holds before I need to charge is amazing and the many functions i like it very much . Greetings from Denmark .

I have smaller wrist and 46mm is a deal breaker for me. There is 42mm of the GT but it has shorter battery life

Does the stress monitoring work on iOS as well? From my knowledge older Huawei smartwatches were not able to make this work with iOS

Today, October 2022. Is the watch still one of the best?
There is the Huawei app gallery and you can push apps from the Health app on your phone to the watch however there are only about 2 dozen apps beyond what is already installed. I have installed the pedal maps app and I kinda like it except that today it tried to get me to go the wrong way on a one-way.
A watch that pretty shouldn't use a ticking second hand... Wish that face had a sweeping second.
I'm a sucker for a bezel. Love the Galaxy watch looks myself, but completely understand the love for the all-glass look.
I have my original Huawei Watch (W1). Not a single scratch on the glass. That one also has sapphire crystal as glass.
