I am a lifelong Patriots fan...We and the Ravens had a lot of battles which were fun to watch. Ray Lewis and Ed Reed were just destroyers out there.
I don't care for the Ravens as a team, but I always liked those two, and coach Harbaugh.
I remember recently when they changed the rules to penalize these sorts of hits to the Head and hits against defenseless players, thinking it was making the game too soft. Now looking back at these hits, they were unnecessarily brutal and gratuitously violent. Players weren't protected, and many of them suffered significant brain injuries as a result. I now think the new rule is quite wise. And it didn't ruin the game.
