Every now and then I stumble across a performance that laser focuses my attention and blocks everything else out. This was so good. It’s 6 years old at this point and really makes me want to dig into your channel and see what else you’ve made.
Rhythmic sync input from the 606 really makes the arpeggiator sound much more interesting. Perfect use of these two wonderful instruments. Awesome jam thanks.
This is literally how Todd Terje made the SNooze 4 Love bassline. This is a really lovely tune you made, hypnotizing and cerebral with the odd time signature.
The 606 has two trigger outs from lo and hi tom.. So u send a cv signal from them to the clock trigger in on the sh101.. Both the seq and arps respond to the triggers u place on 606
@@LoveWeddingPhotosAndFilm Yes, but there is a better machine... the Behringer MS-101 £299 in Blue Red and Grey... ( out very soon, next couple of months ) also if your looking at that get the Behringer RD-808 an analog Roland TR-808 clone again for £299 ( very soon to arrive in stores ) and or the 909 they have also... they are so good they are making gear-snobs weep, cheers
@@LoveWeddingPhotosAndFilm Understood old chap... I also had a SH-101 back in the day ... sold it in 1990 for £50 ( silly boy ) and your right of course the 01A is a fantastic little device... but the perfect one for me is the new TB-03... now that's genius... suits my 606 down to the ground... but 2K+ for an original 303 ? pffff... no chance... I wouldn't purchase a Behringer 303 if they ever made one... no need really the new TB-03 is great... but for me I just wanted to try that MS-101 and see how it go's... available late August... anyway we'll see, cheers
I bought an SH-101 and have not regretted it for a second. It's such a complete instrument. The Behringer doesn't have the envelope snap or easy but flexible sequencer of the original. To make the SH-01a a complete instrument, you have to buy the piece of garbage K-25m, and by the time you've done so, you've payed for half of an SH-101. Plus, the SH-01a s/h doesn't sync to incoming triggers :( Save up a couple more months and own a classic while you can still get one for under a grand.

Yes, it’s really a nice feature to get some more nice rhythmic stuff. I’m glad you like it!
Fucking hell. This is just incredible. One of the best electronic pieces I’ve ever heard. No joke. Congratulations, and well done my man. Well done.

Listened to this 4x over the past two days. Just sublime ☺️✨
some super pretty chords going on here. It's crazy to me how thick and deep the bass on the 101 is.
That sounds lush man . Love that analog sound
Sounds great!
wow, Mika ...I really like what you are doing. I will try this with my 606/101 when I am at home...
Love this!So much variety from just 2 machines! Very inspiring :)
very nice sound
How does the SH-101 Sequencer react to TR-606 CV output?
tr606 has no cv output, only gate outputs via lo and hi tom.
🔥
Cool pattern
very good!
Thanks!
this is so good! if i may ask, how do you make the 606 affect the sequencer rhythm on the 101?

If there's one vintage synth i'd like to own it's the 101, this video makes me want to go grab one again haha. Lovely melody!

gan9e except I can‘t sync my rd8 to my ms1 via clock, as one sends din sync and the other plays on receiving each pulse, so 24 times to fast
