FIRST LOOK : President Remote Mike and Remote BT Mike Review Part 1

- Welcome to the M0OGY Radio and Antenna Review channel.
In this video I take a look at the soon to be released GPE President Electronics Remote Mike and the blue tooth powered Remote BT Mike.
These new products add to the range of microphones that President launched in 2023, notably the Digi-Mike .
These two new microphones are designed for plug and play application for GPE products supplied with the six pin microphone socket.
Both these products offer 5 levels of external noise reduction for noisy environment's for transmitted audio only.
Whilst other manufacturers are using NRC built into their current transceivers, it seems President are currently at the front of development of external microphone products.

I have a Harrison 2. In order to access the SCAN Mode, you hold the Up/down buttons simultaneously on the Mic for 8 seconds. Does this still work on the BT mic?
I'm not sure, if I get chance I will try with my Harrison II, I'm sure it will , but I'll see, thanks for your comment
Thanks. I’m definitely considering a BT for the car, but wouldn’t want to lose the scan feature.
I wondered that, no reason they shouldn't if got a live output on mic

@@m0ogy Hi Dave - were you able to try the BT Mike on the Harrison to see if you could activate the scan function? Knights have them for pre-order now and I’m thinking about getting one
Hello, yes I see Knights are selling this version now (but not the one with standard style microphone for some reason).Since the review sadly I haven't tried the Harrison II , I've not been very well for a while since New Year, if it is a deal breaker , I suggest Emailing GPE President in France, there is a contact on their Website.
