I introduced my friend to skateboarding (he said a kickflip 50-50 looks like it takes a 2 weeks to learn, this is without ever have riding a skateboard) So I took my friend outside, first time riding a skateboard for him, after 1 minute he feel and starting bleeding, just from riding. So, for some people riding skateboards is hard

Apparently skating became linear as fuck, since not many people consider these tricks anymore...seriously where the fuck did the creativity go? Why is skating so linear nowadays? Everyone acts like there is a certain pattern you need to learn tricks, but after the basics shouldn't it just be a free for all? I don't know who is at fault, but I hope people can just learn to skate for fun someday, cause I really loved half of these tricks I saw.

When I was 13,in middle School, I had been skating for about 3 months ane had just got to where I was able to Ollie up and off of sidewalks and curbs. I saw this _Skatboarding tricks_ book from probably the early 70s; all pictures were in black and white. This dude was doing the gorilla hop trick riding bare foot and he was gripping the nose and tail with his his toes while hopping up in the air. I remember not only thinking how painful that shit must be to the uninitiated,but how crazy I must be to even be cruising around barefoot on a board period.

Funny thing is I learned how to do No-Comply hard flips and I used it to beat people in SKATE that were way better than me. Same thing with full cabs. That was one of my favorite tricks and it always surprised people.
