stanced Jake I introduced my friend to skateboarding (he said a kickflip 50-50 looks like it takes a 2 weeks to learn, this is without ever have riding a skateboard) So I took my friend outside, first time riding a skateboard for him, after 1 minute he feel and starting bleeding, just from riding. So, for some people riding skateboards is hard
I remember watching this video when I started skateboarding 4 years ago and being so enamored and in awe of the tricks, now that I understand everything it’s not as fun, but this brings back so much nostalgia.
Hey I see you left this comment 2 years ago. I bertleman on the regular and it's really not that hard! Hope you're out there doing them too. Usually the noise make the whole park glance over at wtf I just did, lol.
There were a lot of places that wouldn't sell his boards back in the day because they thought his name was satan backwards. It's actually a Lithuanian name. It's the male version of the name "Natalia"
When I was 13,in middle School, I had been skating for about 3 months ane had just got to where I was able to Ollie up and off of sidewalks and curbs. I saw this _Skatboarding tricks_ book from probably the early 70s; all pictures were in black and white. This dude was doing the gorilla hop trick riding bare foot and he was gripping the nose and tail with his his toes while hopping up in the air. I remember not only thinking how painful that shit must be to the uninitiated, but how crazy I must be to even be cruising around barefoot on a board period.
Apparently skating became linear as fuck, since not many people consider these tricks anymore...seriously where the fuck did the creativity go? Why is skating so linear nowadays? Everyone acts like there is a certain pattern you need to learn tricks, but after the basics shouldn't it just be a free for all? I don't know who is at fault, but I hope people can just learn to skate for fun someday, cause I really loved half of these tricks I saw.
I fucking love you and this comment. I skate for fun, and I skate like this. I even have a Rodney Mullen freestyle deck on its way to me specifically for this shit. Fuck what skateboarding has become.
Tombi The Gamershark yes, Rodney Mullen is probably the best freestyle skater. And I need one of those boards because its hard to do some of those tricks with a regular board.
I would be so more pumped off skate videos if some of these tricks were in them. Dont get me wrong it's cool seeing sw/ bigspin heel flips down 18 stairs, but some cool creative stuff has a place in my heart aswell!
dude when it starts that's perfect music for a trick that i completely forgot about in the shifty. Serisouly no one picks up their skateboard after 20 years and thinks I'm gonna try a shifty. Shit was fuckin' magical man.
I love old Skool, tricks like late shove it, impossible and pressure flips, the more you have to watch it in slow mo to figure it out, the better it is!.
Wow, goofy made the best old school tricks. Iv been riding for 23 years and never seen it make the list until now. I Must say i have the most control over this trick then any other.

It's a Caballerial with a Mute Air. Basically for ppl who can't do a full cab.
There is something very special about the enormous display of energy inherent to the tricks of the old-school style of skating.
