Ive been in cat hitachi case kabelco and more from 1.7ton to 75ton and the volvo is the best hands down if was to go out on my own it will be volvo diggers
Do work directly with the builder on jobs like this or do you work with homeowners? I’m in a similar situation you are and curious how to grow into more excavation work like you do.
I wanted to order a Vovlo 140 last month but the wait time for arrival was 145 days out, So I went with a cat 313FL. That bucket looks small for the 160 but might just be the camera angle.
They are almost too fast. Bucket hits the ground before ya ready lol. Bit different to my 3.5 tonner in the big gear tho. Took me by surprise last time I was in one! Bang! Lol
You already have a Cat skid steer, mini ex, and loader so I'd say buy a Cat excavator plus it looks better when all your machines match and parts are easier also
@@DirtNinja Yes there is more to it, but it helps doing custom work to have a good equipment "Image" ! You should go over to Andrew Camarata's channel and say that about his run what you brung junk fest, and see the roasting you get from his loyal fans. His last couple of excavator purchases are only looking half worn out compared to his other stuff though, so it's improving L.O.L
Seems to me Anrew Camarata has built his business himself, he didn't have the luxury of working for his Dad like many do, which is just a different situation and making the best of it. I think many of us admire Andrew not because he does things perfectly, he does not, but because he is self made and humble. He takes us on an honest journey of learning and mistakes and challenge, I relish it. My two sons love his channel and his practical attitude, it is beyond refreshing.
@@laszlovass7326 I watch his Channel and like his work on the machines and in the shop, As a mechanic here I watch and think ok I would do this while I was fixing this,30 seconds later he's right there. He's ok where he is with that old iron. I'll tell you in this area he would get no work with the older machines clanking / banging and looking rough, even if he was as good an operator as Ninja or Chris at letsdig18. If he painted and runs that newer Kubota he'd stand a chance here of some jobs. Yes I agree he's done well not being a silver spoon licker like some guys in life.
you see why I have 3 of them now? lol
It was a nice machine for sure
@@DirtNinja will a engron go on new machine

Just curious the difference between this machine and the 316 you bought.
Dealer service ?
No matter how many times I see the ending I still flinch when the little piece comes at the camera.
haha. One in a million shot!
@letsdig18 will surely like this demo choice.
Looks to be a nice machine! I know Chris swears by them!
I’ve never ran one but they seem quick and smooth!! Good video!
pretty small bucket...
That is one machine I’ve never been in yet looks like the hydraulics are super fast and responsive.
It was a nice machine! I liked it

We just got a new 325F and I love it..we got a quick coupler and main pin thumb but I would love to have a tilt rotator

nice vid. i enjoy a little longer vid and some info on what ur trying to accomplish.. keep up the good videos..
Recently rented a Volvo 220 I thought same thing very smooth and fast. Talked to others and they didnt like them? Thought it was weird.
Looks like your are enjoying the volvo very fast machine
I tried cat 313fl and hated it but loved the ec140dl and bought that instead
Volvos are very smooth and fast but it is hard to keep them balanced.
Great video thanks!
How come you don’t post videos more regularly on RUclips? Would love to see something at least once a week 😎
+Dirt Ninja
any thoughts on trying a Komatsu ?
We did not try one
How did it compare to the cat? Finally someone who’s ran both and can give a first hand comparison
It was faster, I would say they had the same power. Cab was slightly nicer than the Cat I would say as well
Which machine did you end up buying?
MrDugbo171 he bought the CAT 316F

Letsdig18 Chris has some competition
When you had your Bobcat E50 , was it a standard arm or long arm.
standard arm

haha, you know its all about looking good!
