Especially as often as they would be moving it. Great to see and for Chris to spend time on, but impractical for their work.

And don't get it buried in the mud, how would you get it out? :-D

What an awesome machine. Effortless moving of a huge amount of material. I always think of the tremendous pressures the slew rings take every swing when the buckets are loaded. Those gears are just amazing in the performance they deliver. So cool.
Coming from Northern MN, I will say that Volvo might build good, cutting edge stuff, but almost nobody runs it here. And the ones that do, tend to ship their’s off. Cause almost nobody sells it, so parts and service are a half a ghost town. Not sure there is a remedy, Cat and John Deere just own the field.

Dang...the 250 is no joke of a machine but the 950 makes it look like a mini excavator. That thing is a hoss. That 10 yard (rounded up for heaping scoops and the sake of round numbers) bucket would make quick work of a lot of job sites for sure.
I am sure that for half million subscriber Volvo can borrow the beast for a one big pond project. It would be very nice to see how it works in that kind of work with mud and trees. Volvo guys, let us to see that in business. And I know there is a busy lava pond project in Island where is needed this beast and Chris.

They looked like toys down in the hole. 2 euclids could back in the bucket. Stripping coal. It walked on Its tracks. The boom was tubular and pressureized wiith air . when the pressure dropped it was cracked. They would climb up with microphones. Find the crack. Weld it up and carry on. What a trip to get in that Volvo. I really enjoyed this one.
