I learned my lesson it's not worth doing what I did. Keep the stock intake and just get the rr racing oil catch can and that's all u need. I took this set up off if u watch my other videos

So the video i had talking about why I went to stock intake. N sold the rr racing one I had to take down because of some conflict of interests. But like I said keep the intake stock. But if u want one for looks go with the Tom's.

Does this void any warranty? Or will you just change it back when you go for service?
It will not void warranty. Unless they can prove what ever broke was caused by the intake. But chances of that are slim

What is the white compartment right behind the breather? I'm going to assume its the intake for the cabin ventilation? If so, did you smell fumes in the cabin after install?
That's the firewall. No I smelled no fumes.
So this K&N pipe is pure for aesthetics? It's interesting to see K&N just build a plastic pipe without any benefits. They make a short ram intake for the ISF, but it suffers from heat soak. Wonder if this plastic pipe would fit in the ISF...
Most likely would fit since they are all more less the same engine design
What's the benefits of that breather???
So originally the two hoses that go into the intake are connected to the top of the valve covers and the gases and vapors from the valve covers get sucked into the intake and into the engine to be reburned. And as u know if it’s not clean air going in it effects performance. Engine needs gas and air to make power. Not gas and air mixed with oil fumes. So I use the breather kit to have ventilation for the valve covers and none of that dirty air goes back into the engine.
An analogy would be your Lungs.
You wana breath clean air. Now imagine if you sneeze. (Bacteria, mucus, ect) leaves your mouth/ nose. So most manufacturers will have this crap go back into your lungs. For emission purposes. But with the Atmospheric air breather. The crap just goes out and into the surrounding air.
This will give you better performance and better breathing.

Curious whats the point in rerouting your air intake from your cool air intake to a small filter intake sitting right above your engine?
I think you are confused. The air intake has not been rerouted. The small breather filter that sits in the back by the fire wall is a breather filter that vents the valve covers into the atmosphere instead of going back into the intake manifold to be reburned. Did u watch my video I explain it all n why I do it

Personally I would touch anything on this car except exhaust and even then you are messing with the performance of the vehicle. It is a good how to video though.
Trust me the car needs mods to open up that v8
