Considering AoC is depicting a battle that could leave Hyrule itself in ruins, and tensions are extremely high, it makes sense for the theme to be a lot darker in tone.

Breath of the wild reminds me so much of the Vulcans from Star Trek for some reason. Maybe the pointy ears, sorta arched eyebrows, and both speak so blatantly. Which reminds me, could Sheet Music Boss do the Pan Farr music from Star Trek TOS? That would be amazing!
