  • The Logitech Rally Bar is an all-in-one video conferencing solution, certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom Rooms, and several other video conferencing platforms. It can be a standalone meeting room solution with its on-board CollabOS, or it can be utilized as a high-end USB peripheral, brining in a 4K PTZ camera, speakers, and beamforming mics to a PC.

      Indeed! It’s their own 12 pin connector. I learned this just last week wiring up some mic pods in a couple of my larger conference rooms that had the Rally Bars installed but needed a bit more mic lift. Very expensive hardware btw.. Their 10m extension cable was needed for both of my mic pod installs and that alone cost $199 per extension cable plus the cost of the mic pods we’re are also quite expensive, especially when using multiple pods in each room.

    • @qfina
      @qfina 10 месяцев назад

      agreed it's stupid expensive for a cable, and the mic pods only come with a 3M cable so you absolutely will need the extension unless you can run from the bar to the pod without any vertical drops @@JoeArp3911

    @JoeArp3911 2 года назад +3

    Another important note, when wiring through the HDMI ingest, it’s strictly for content sharing only and DOES NOT support or carry audio. After thinking this was a bug, I tested a RUclips video and the video played but I couldn’t get audio output no matter what I tried. I reached out to my Logitech rep and sure enough it didn’t support audio output, by design…. I learned this only after purchasing and installing 60 of these room kits, hoping to use the HDMI ingest for local room content sharing but needed to rewire my first few room installs after I confirmed this with Logitech. Overall the kits have been amazing otherwise and the Sync portal is a must if you have to manage more than a couple handful of kits, across several different locations, like I do.

      @@HeyKimmi I wired HDMI back to two separate inputs on the TV, unfortunately, so our users still need to switch back and forth from one HDMI input to the other for in-room only presentations via HDMI cables in each of the rooms that run directly to the TV and the Logitech Rally Room Kits. In short, I had to abandon the idea of the HDMI ingest option on the Rally Bar since I found it useless without the ability to carry audio with the video feed. However, recently I’ve been holding trainings to educate our users on how to stand up impromptu meetings via these Teams Kits, connect to them with their laptops and then wireless present by sharing within Teams and eventually, we’ll remove all cabling from our conference rooms and solely rely on Teams content sharing via meeting join.

    Hello, tell me how I can connect the new remote control RR0016 (the old one is missing) to the Logitech Rally Bar, Graphite M/N VR0019. The device is now reset to factory settings.
    When loading the device, I cannot continue setting up, the interface asks to press the center button on the remote control 5 times, but the remote control is new. It needs to be connected to the device.
    The user manual unfortunately does not work:
    Press and hold the pairing button (the center button on the back of the video bar) for 5 seconds to launch Pairing UI.
    In Appliance Mode, the Pairing User Interface will start, then follow the on screen instructions.
    In USB mode, the Rally Bar LED will blink Blue to show the pairing has started. Press and hold the Volume Down and Zoom Out buttons on the remote. Once pairing is completed the LED will stop blinking.
    Pairing will timeout if no activity.
    I don’t understand what In USB mode is

This gives you the ability to join both types of calls with the kit being provisioned for MS Teams. It depends on what your purposes are. If you want a BYOD scenario where you use the connected display in the room, AND the onboard camera, mics and speakers, then you need to connect both an HDMI AND USB-C cable between the laptop and the Bar. If you want a single cable for all that, you need Logitech's Swytch solution.

      Yep, I had gotten that feedback quite a bit. I ended up removing it on my newer videos over the last year or so

    Logi Rally bar is very bad with zoom/teams setup. HDMI doesnt support Audio, only the display. Youll need usb to use the speaker for local presentation. Too many wires(HDMI and USB cable) just to present locally. Very bad. Unlike crestron hdmi is the only needed no need usb cable for audio.

    The system was great when we first bought it, but in the latest firmware "upgrade" the engineers eliminated the ability to do local recordings. If a recording is desired, only the video conferencing app can record it and store it online. Great gift for hackers, horrible business for confidentiality. As far as the engineers are concerned, they "fixed" a function that should not have existed. Of course, Logitech doesn't advertise that the functionality does not exist. If you need local recordings - DON'T go logitech
