Hey - this isn't a mathematics tutorial, alright! Lol Good catch. When I am speaking and thinking on the fly, not everything comes out of my mouth correctly, unfortunately...
I saw when you start it up, it scans the board and you have to calibrate it, does it calibrate the screen and ask for confirmation or adjustment every time you use it or just when you shut it off or when you restart it or what?
It scans on first use. Then it is set unless you plug it in to another room system. You can also modify the relevant board area in the Settings after the fact if you need to.
@@ExpertOfThings Usually, the calibration process has to be done only once. The four calibration points on the corners of the usable whiteboard area will be saved by either the camera or the driver.
Great video ! Unfamiliar a little bit with MTRs. Does this mean that when the camera is set to the Scribe, you won't be able to use the rally bar at the same time ? thanks
Hi Josh, can I use the Logitech scribe camera in a production/live streaming platform like vmix without a Zoom application. Also is it of any use with a basic professional zoom license that doesn’t have the zoom rooms feature.
Hello Victor! Thanks for watching, and great question. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to the "will it work" aspect of your question. I would have to test out some scenarios. It is specifically designed and engineered to be a "Content Camera" for these room system platforms, and thus that is where it will be officially "supported".
Thank you for the quick response Josh. Allow me to be a bit insistent :-) This camera is not readily available on my local market yet. However I intend to travel and buy it. Is it possible for you to plug it in and see if it gets picked up as a usb video conferencing camera in zoom or windows camera app? And if in that case it would still know the borders of the white board and possibly make the teacher’s hand transparent..
Hi Josh, thanks for the insight. Couple questions, will the Scribe work with glass marker boards? Also, is the Scribe compatible with the Windows based Yealink system (MVC series)?
Hello! Yes on the glass boards. It MAY work to access the camera by USB from the Yealink system, but it is definitely not a supported or guaranteed scenario.
I just installed a scribe today in one of our conference rooms - nice easy set up and so easy to use. Question I have is once you've got your whiteboard shared into the meeting, is there a way to capture it digitally to add it to your meeting notes? Not sure if this is possible from the TAP or not - I assume I could join the meeting from a laptop and grab it with a screen grab, but was curious if there was a more native way of doing this. Thanks!
@@ExpertOfThings Awesome, appreciate the quick response! That would definitely be a feature request if you can pass the word :) In my previous company we had over a hundred Google Meet kits deployed, and in my present company we are deploying Logi Team Rooms - looking forward to see what future feature developments come to light! This is the first Scribe camera I've had experience with and I can definitely see us deploying more as the product evolves. Capturing the white board as a slide or screenshot of some kind would definitely be a plus!
I'm wondering how does this work if you are sharing other content, pressing the share button switches to the camera I assume. What about when you are done with the whiteboard? Does pressing the button again revert back to the shared content?
Can this now be used directly on a Rally Bar configured for appliance mode?
Great video doing a bunch of these for Microsoft on 18th st NYC , is there a elect backbox I can use for camera bracket
Not quite sure I understand the question, but I am unsure of mounting options outside of what I covered in the video. Apologies.
Hi Josh thanks on valuable information on Logitech Scribe
Great Video! Thanks for the sharing.
Would it have to be exactly the same length as the template provided? Or would I be able to the lightscribe higher than what the template suggest?
Please tell me how to use Logitech c 9 20 for analog White bord class.
Do you know if the Scribe can work with a chalk blackboard?
Hi Josh, Do I have to use the POE injector? Can I just power the camera with a POE switch? thank you!
Get-CsJosh, please do let us know the answer to this question!
Half of 36 is 16-...nice match. Good video regardless!

Great video! I was wondering if this would work with a third party NUC along with rally plus apart from MTR and Zoom rooms?
It can still work as a USB camera, but support scenarios will be limited.
In Zoom environments, do you need to go through the whiteboard detection process for every session, or only the first time?
Great question. I believe it is just the first time, but I will try to go back and test and let you know. (I normally live in the Teams world...)

No, it doesn't mean that. You can still use the Rally Bar camera; the Scribe is treated as "shared content" on the screen.
Will scribe work with rally bar?? Without out nuc ??
Just rally bar+ Tab + scribe.
Content cameras are not yet supported for Teams Rooms on Android (Rally Bar by itself running Teams in Appliance mode)Mode. Eventually, they will be.
@@ExpertOfThings what about zoom ??
Thank you so much 😊
What size of drill bit did you use?
I honestly don't recall, and don't have the kit any longer.

No, unfortunately, not at this time. If the meeting were recorded, you should have it in the recording.

Is it working with any white interactive board?
No
@@ExpertOfThings Can you recommend me one product ?
@@Mesiorjafka recommend a digital whiteboarding solution for Teams?
How far is it from the whiteboard to the base of the camera?
I would say about 6 - 8 inches. There is a stencil to use for exact spacing.

Hi, how did my friend contact you? I have a good Bluetooth headset.
