Ive been 2 wheelin for 47 years. In my younger days I owned bikes from Yamaha, Honda & Suzuki. Then in 1982 I bought my 1st Kawi, a 78 KZ650 and thats when it became part of my DNA and I will always look to Kawasaki for my 1st choice in Motorcycles! I am 100%, tried and trued, a die hard Kawasaki man! Ive owned the 78 KZ650, 82 KZ1000, 09 Concours 14 and most recently I bought a 24 Ninja 1000sx, I am also in the process of restoring a 76 KZ900.
Amongst the many tech advancements the Kawasaki was the first one who introduced link type rear mono shock ( uni track rear shock) and this is the best ever rear shock on a sport bike .❤❤
Good to hear the Kawasaki story in such good detail Iv recently bought a 05 zx12r Its the first Kawasaki iv owned Always been a yamaha and Suzuki guy I'm definitely a Kawasaki guy now Just luv it Thanks for the history lesson
First of all, you are talking about my prefered motorcycle brand. I had a 1971 500 MACH 3 H1-A, a 1972 750 MACH IV H2, a 2001 ZRX 1200 and I have since 2003 a 1984 Gpz 900 R ZX9-A. I deeply respect the other brands and I will not state that KAWASAKI was and still is, the fastest bike ever. This is a very complicated matter... What I do have to say is KAWASAKI has a very special personality. A real SOUL that speaks even through sound and smell. Beautiful scene the one having the ZX14 and those two beautiful BOXERS, my prefered dog breed, too... Your work is very good, honest and atractive but if you allow me two sugestions, here they are: Those spescs over the image of the bike should be replaced in such a way we could see them both and sometimes the good music you used is too loud and we can't hear you very well. Excuse me for my bad English due to the fact I'm Brazilian. I think you are going to understand my message because we speak the same international language, which is that of MOTORCYCLES! Best regards from the distant Brazil, my fellow motorcyclist! By the way, I'm 64. I ride since 11 years old and I have enough age to be your father...
The only motorcycle I ever owned was an '82 KZ650 CSR. I bought it in '98 for $500. I rode it year round for 2 1/2 years. I was working 2 jobs, and I didn't even own a car.
This explains why the ZX14 feels like piloting a jet / turbine / rocket. I'm coming up to my 8th or 9th Kwak iirc, 636 Ninja was my first big bike & I've been hooked ever since, the ZX14 will probably be the only bike i ride from now on! Buuut if i want a 1000cc i buy a Fireblade 😑 had three (and a SP1) so far, because Kwak litre bikes are razor sharp & unforgiving and i like the predictability and useability of Honda 1000's on the road. I don't track my bikes. As much as i would love a 2004 or 2006 ZX10R.... f-that for a daily at 6' 2" 😅
I'd agree with your statements about Kawi's and Honda's. Riding a 636 was impressive and sharp. A deadly track weapon, however my Honda's are more predictable and usable. I like them both but there's a different character with each.
Wow - the video I posted is there twice from alpal. MotoGP bikes weigh only 158 kg. All the street bikes weigh far too much in comparison. That is an important fact that is never mentioned in any comparison video.
I love my 2009 ZX14. Special Edition with the candy burn orange colorway. The absolute best description for this amazing machine is, a long distance hyperbike.
