Its is nothing about ed alone. The whole scene din't made sense in the GoT universe. I was just put in their for fans. So Yes. That would be like putting mister bean in an episode as jester. would ruin the experience.
I don't agree with that. I think it showed that some of the Lannister soldiers are good people deep down. It showed the viewers that they are really people and it gave some life to the episode
I also really liked the scene because it showed what wars can mean for the actual people. If the Ed Sheeran cameo was necessary or not is a different question.
You could argue that Bran killed house Hodor, hehe. But if rumors and theories are true Bran will be, by far, one of the most important characters of this show.
Did you notice Arya didn't want to take the food from the soldiers? She still planned on killing them at that point but once she accepted their hospitality that was no longer an option.
DoddyIshamel : Why? They are insignificant. Arya strikes her targets with precision, she doesn't just lash out at everyone vaguely connected to them. I think she was simply planning on passing by.
voice2voiceless she doesn't give a shit about guest right, the Freys were her guests and she killed them. but people forget about it because she's popular
Yeah, apparently Arya knows how to manage a castle for two weeks, and every Frey is able to attend and there are no Frey children at all. And no one noticed Lothar and Black Walder were missing. So dumb.
Iain Goldie Dude, if you don't like the show, don't fucking watch it 😂 Thats like the third hate comment you have posted, you are nitpicky as hell and its annoying as fuck, plus; everything you are trying to hate on makes perfect sense in the show and its still a fucking amazing TV show, just relax a littlle bit.
Rick can still catch up in time for season seven episode two. He has 58 episodes left which is roughly 58 hours in about six days. Thats 10 episodes a day for six days. He can do it, believe me I have done it before.
Sansa's proposition made sense under normal circumstances, but Jon wants as many people on their side when the White Walkers come. Punishing the Umbers and the Karstarks would also mean losing their support when the war against the White Walkers come. Like how Robb lost the Karstarks after executing their Lord.
I've been here since Flash Season 1 reactions but god damn, there's something about the yearly GOT reactions with you guys that almost feels like coming home for the holidays. I'm literally gonna watch this full fucking hour of discussion.
Dany was born after the fall of King's Landing and was shipped off almost right after she was born. So yeah, its not that she cannot remember Rheagar, she never met him to begin with.
Nope, he was long dead by then. Trident Battle > Fall of King's Landing > Daenerys is born in Dragonstone > Fall of Dragonstone > They gtfo of Westeros. Interestingly enough, I just realized that her being born after the fall of King's Landing means she was born around the same day as Jon.
This is the only reaction video I've watched from start to finish. With other channels, it makes you wonder if they've even watched the show before; they can't recall simple names, important callbacks or even figure out basic plot details. Blind Wave are the GoT MVP's!
Walder Acting as Aria pretending to be Walder, was the most amazing scene!! He did such a great job at being Walder and Not being Walder, you could really tell. Fantastic acting on his part. Well done :)
Melanie: "I've never heard her laugh". Yes you have. Remember when Arya and The Hound made it to The Vale so that he could give her to her Aunt Lysa and they found out that she died? Yeah, she laughed hysterically at that lol.
Why are people hating on Ed Shereen's cameo? I don't listen to his music, but it was probably an awesome thing for him personally to be on a show he likes. It was fine.
I loved the Ed Sheeran scene because it reminds me of words Jorah said : In every war innocent people die in "both sides" we all see the lannister men as a bunch of rapists and killers (the sack of kings landing) but lannisters are just another army filled with a lot of individual spirits with there own moral code. In the war between Starks and Lannisters we were rooting for the Starks but there was a lot of bad apples in that army two : The Stark men who raped and hanged those prostitutes and got killed by Brienne (two quick deaths, one slow) and there is the bolton and later Umber and Karstark. And the Wall the M&M's of good and bad people in the same Army. Such a powerful scene.
Arya, by herself, did what it took Tywin Lannister and his armies to do to a house. Think about that and how much that made people fear the Lannisters.
Dany didn't build her boats, she only burnt a few of the masters ships then took the rest. Remember tyrions line during the talks "thank you for the armada, our queen does love ships"
Been watching your videos since the Hardhome reaction over 2 years ago, videos have been quality ever since and it's awesome to see how far your channel has come, looking forward to this seasons reactions.
Arya was told to become a no one. But is it a real test when you know the solution? A harder test is, when you do not know what the task is. But the hardest test is, when you are supposed to do exactly the opposite of what you were told. Arya said: "My name is Arya Stark..." That was when she passed the test.
Can't help but to correct one thing -- The theme that plays when Daenerys comes back is not the love theme between her and Khal Drogo. It is the theme of her dragons.
Yes, we shall begin by walking into a hostile castle that was abandoned (for no apparent reason) and we shall send in the Queen in first, with all her council, and everyone will be absolutely silent
I was THREE WEEKS late getting to this episode. Just tuning in now. I know you guys have great content every week, but it's so great to have this flagship show back!
Elizabeth Urbanowski first episode of the series also. when those 3 crows, including the one ned executed for desertion, came across the white walkers.
Boy you guys were on the ball. I've seen a lot of other reactions video and with some of them it seemed it took FOREVER for them to realize Walder Frey was Arya in disguise! Also that it was Jorah in the cell.
If you pause during the scene where Sam was looking through the book, you could see that at the left side of the book there's a line that said "dragonglass as a cure for". My theory is that the dragonglass might be a cure for the Grey scale hence why Jorah is in the Citadel.
Damian Pretty True I forgot about those two and bronn. Lady olenna was also missing and the sand snakes. but who gives a fuck about the sand snakes. lol
They didn’t mention it, but the song that Ed Sheeran sang is from the books. It was written about Tyrion by a singer that knew about Shae. “A castle and a keep are nothing compared to a woman’s kiss” and “hands of gold are always cold but a woman’s hands are warm”
I'm so so so happy you've finally released this vid!!! To get through The Black Gate only you have to be a brother of The Night's Watch but the rest of the gates don't have the weirwood magic!
So in the run up to season 7 I rewatched the whole series. I've been rewatching the Calvin catch-up vids alongside them. And I have to say I feel so much "nerdy/geeky/whatever-you-want-to-call-it" pride at seeing Calvin so excited. And I'm only 5 minutes in. It's always such a joy to see someone grow to love something you love. Massive grin on my face here!
Ohhh but that opening scene with Arya. It was SO GOOD. I honestly think it was the best way they could have started the episode. It was a-freaking-MAZING. The whole episode was. I got to the end and I was almost wishing I had waited until the end of the season to start watching so I could binge-watch the whole thing, because I was just like I NEED MORE RIGHT NOW.
My prediction: Hound dies and Beric grants his kiss of life. Thoros also dies and Hound takes the flaming sword. Clegane Bowl both revived, Hound with flaming sword, which will be key in killing the mountainous zombie.
You brought up the Restricted Section, too! 😂 When I saw that scene I literally said out loud "We've looked a hundred times!" "Not in the restricted section."
Arya said 2 feasts in a fortnight, so 2 weeks, if we assume the last feast was the one that Jamie was also present at. I think it's safe to say everything we've seen has been the same time frame, about 2 weeks (also makes sense for sam's duties montage).
Well Euron started to build that fleet like halfway through season 6, not at the very end. And we can safely assume not all of those ships are new. Of course it's still a bit miraculous how fast they were built, but my headcanon is they went to Cape Kraken to build them, since there would be more wood there.
They're not doing Dragonbinder in the show. It would have at least been mentioned by now if they were. The gift will be Ellaria (not sure of the spelling) and the Sand Snakes who killed Myrcella.
The assassin's dagger is called Catspaw, and if you look at some of the photo's from the pre season, it looks like Arya now has it. Oh, and it's being sold on the HBO shop as well.
The dagger, Catspaw, still belongs to Littlefinger, I think it was even the knife he held against Ned's throat when he betrayed him in season 1. Possible spoilers (but not really because it was on the cover of a magazine) The Stark children did a photo shoot for entertainment weekly and Arya had Catspaw on her!
Lorenzo Miranda technically she didn’t, those are all Frey men, there’s no guest there. She didn’t break beard with them which indicates you’re officially a guest
Clarification: In the books, Bran and Co. need Sam to pass through the one specific door at the Night Fort, because the exit is sealed by a mystical Weirwood door that will only open for a brother of the Night's Watch. Castle Black and Eastwatch have more traditional gates. Additionally, I don't buy the argument that Bran crossing is going to disrupt the magic of the Wall (which keeps out the White Walkers and the wights, but isn't what keeps The Wall standing). When Bran got marked, he had noidea that it could even happen, let alone what the result would be. He does now, and he must have linked the magic of the cave to the magic of the Wall. Thing is, the mark was quite visible, so Bran would be able to see if it's still there. It's completely possible that, just like the frostbite the mark resembled, it faded away. Besides, if the NK thought the mark's power would last long enough to let him and his army pass the Wall, why were they trying to kill Bran? Let him run away, and then follow him beyond the Wall.
I don't think Euron had to have ALL those boats built. In the S6 finale, Theon and Yara say they have 100 ships and Euron has the rest of the Iron Fleet.
The bow wielding giant will take down one of the dragons...or at the hands of the Mountain in KL, either way we'll see Viserion or Rhaegal die this season. That's my prediction because those big boys are lethal lol
The place where they filmed Dragonstone and the stone bridge is a place called San Juan de Gaztelugatxe near Bilbao, Spain. What's even cooler is that I was studying abroad in Bilbao when they were filming it last fall and one of my friends even got to shake Kit Harrington's hand.
Ayra has no f*cks left in her body. Straight brilliant and brutal. And Cersei needs to be afraid, the Starks have eradicated two houses already: and the Queen doesn't have much left of her house. Also, love the post-Ramsay Sansa sass. Lyanna Mormont dragged a man hard.
So the Valerian knife that was in the book was one of the references to the weapons that were decorated with Dragon Glass, if you pause the screen you can actually read the page that Sam was reading out loud to Gilly, the knife is Valerian blade and Dragon Glass Hilt.
"Fucking Ed Sheeran had more lines than Rickon ever did".-Eric😂😂😂😂😂
That scene was fucked up and din't belong in the universe though.
Calm down, just because you dont like Ed Sheeran as a singer doesnt mean he ruined the scene

If the Ed Sheeran cameo was necessary or not is a different question.
The Ed Sheeran cameo was actually a gift for Maisie Williams
"I've never heard her laugh!"
Me: Instantly remembers the moment Aria found out about her Aunt when she was crazy laughing.
AND in season 1! When she flicked something at Sansa at the dinner table 😂 & in scenes with Ned
"I've never heard (Arya) laugh"... Yes you have. She laughed at the Bloody Gate with the bloody Hound.
ha that scene makes me laugh everytime
...and it was bloody hilarious!
AWS Vids That's exactly what I thought.
That moment actually escaped me when Melanie said that. I think these two are the only times after season 1 that we've seen her laugh though.
pretty sure that was season 3 or 4
Imagine if Ed Sheeran took his mask off and it was Jaquen H'gar
That would be awesome!
I'd be too busy laughing my ass off if that happened to worry for Ayra
A man is not nominated for 11 Grammy Awards.
+The505Guys It's a change of style
I hope he takes his mask off and it was Rupert Grint all along.
Finally. Also Ed Sheeran is a big fan of the show and Maisie is a big fan of Ed, so they had him make a cameo.
925lexi isn't he also friends with Kit Harrington or something?
Peugeon_789 That too. But D&D mostly did it because of Maisie that's why his cameo was in the same scene she was in.
They tried for years to make him come to the show for Maisie
Pretty sure he asked Kit for a cameo in season 3, so I doubt they were trying to make him come to the show for years.
925lexi that makes it funnier that she almost killed him. lol
Jon Snow and Sansa - House Bolton
Arya - House Frey
C'mon Bran, you have work to do
More like Ramsay (jon, sansa) - House Bolton :D
Bran will be the most important character to defeat the walkers
Ahmed Harris Hahaha but what do you expect him to do he can't walk remember. He can however help with the White Walkers tho.😂😂
You could argue that Bran killed house Hodor, hehe. But if rumors and theories are true Bran will be, by far, one of the most important characters of this show.
Jon and his armies almost died trying to defeat the Boltons. Arya took out the Freys single-handedly.

Jesus Christ they'll value his slow burn reactions in favor of catching up just to wait for next season with them. I know I do.
Jesus Christ shit I finished binging it in 4 days , it's possible.
I read it in Rick Sanchez' voice with burps and awkward pauses. "Nintendo, give me free stuff"
I don't want Rick doing these. Can't stand him making stupid jokes during the catching up ones. Would ruin it, imo.
You are Jesus Christ..he is not :p

Not literally
YES, literally!
@@TessaxMusic95 No, not literally. She was literally a woman disguised as a man. Do you know what "literally" means?

Mordirit Dany was born around 9 months after Jon was born according to GRRM.
When Daenerys was slowly stroking the war table I was just thinking in my head, "Please don't do that... There was a lot of fucking on that table..."

Melanie brought him back. She is a Red Priestess (as proven by her hair).
You do know that melissandre's actual name is Melanie right
Afif Majid Carice van Houten is her real name
Scar does that even have an impact in the story? Bookwise? SPOILER ALERT!!!
Maybe Eric's a big fucker and he's tough to kill.

That should be the best line in the entire show.
I don't think Euron had to have ALL those boats built. In the S6 finale, Theon and Yara say they have 100 ships and Euron has the rest of the Iron Fleet.
Exactly. Plus, he could have stolen some.
Love the reactions as always also love that knight king figure. I love how you guys display theme collectibles for each show. Original and awesome
The bow wielding giant will take down one of the dragons...or at the hands of the Mountain in KL, either way we'll see Viserion or Rhaegal die this season. That's my prediction because those big boys are lethal lol
I LOVE that the bell joke is still a thing! 😂
*cries tears of joy*
Yes! Been waiting since sunday to see you all react, so glad GOT is back and your reactions to it!
Winter has come for house Blind Wave!
I've missed Melanie! Glad she is back for GoT reactions!!
It's 2:44am here... I had finally decided to sleep but... Blindwave happened
So the Valerian knife that was in the book was one of the references to the weapons that were decorated with Dragon Glass, if you pause the screen you can actually read the page that Sam was reading out loud to Gilly, the knife is Valerian blade and Dragon Glass Hilt.
