Flooding is not helped by building every where and lack of maintenance ditches and rivers used to be cleared and maintained regularly now they are just full of vegetation and rubbish
Does anyone think it's heading like last winter. Hopefully crops won't rot what has been drilled. Think might stop farming and sell second hand submarines. Hopefully it will go down for you George. Regards to the family and farm crew
That's terrible George, we used to have flooding on a couple of fields and would loose the crops on them bits but thankfully the river was cleaned and lowered by a couple of foot and this has brought the fields back to use even in winter. Hope your get the same done there.....
Rice harvest is around now and the fields need to be dry to combine. Even though rice combines here in Japan are on tracks. The rice fields are only flooded at the beginning to middle of the growing process and then drained off towards the end. The same fields in some low lying areas (i.e. warmer for longer) are then used to grow wheat. Floods aren't good for rice either and recent flooding in Japan has seen many a crop destroyed. Don't worry, I know you were only joking and I laughed too, but thought I'd just share the reality of rice farming as an aside.
Evening to you. I have a small holding in northern Italy. Up to late April I had a rain made swimming pool out in the garden. I have just arrived now and I am going to have to spend 2/3 hours watering the plants and vegetables. Strange world and even stranger times. Keep safe
Omg that's shocking to see thought we was bad up in Staffordshire water was 2" in our new barn tractor wheels in water never seen it so bad you definitely got the worst of it all stay safe fingers crossed it's going to drop for you hopefully you cattle will stay dry
Feel for you George, when oh when will the authorities start to understand that water ways need to be maintained and managed like in the previous millennium. Ridiculous that in September we’re seeing serious flooding issues , god knows how bad it’s going to be come winter. We’ve had a wet week with some heavy rain but nothing extreme but already water ways can’t cope. The government wants to build another 1.5 million homes. Bonkers. Good luck, your always chipper.👍
Also George is it practical to see if any of the spoil and clay from the Blackcat construction could be tipped so you can add a flood defence for your buildings, it’s bloody near. Or could you use older silage bales that perhaps aren’t feed grade.? I dairy farm in Cheshire and River weaver floods some of my farm far more frequently than ever. Luckily my buildings are well away and much higher. Best wishes
There is no maintenance by national highways, the EA etc. the housing being built around wingtringhan is unreal. Building on flood plains pushing the problems further downstream. I don’t care what anyone says when I was younger rain never came down as much as it does now not a months rain in 24hrs at least
Can't believe it😢 we are missing it all almost too dry with us. we had irrigation going last week on parsnips and potatoes for lifting. Feel for you all down there
OMG George can't believe that's happened to you again 🙄 up here we've had virtually nothing apart from the odd shower for a few weeks now, hopefully you've seen the last of it for a while, good luck getting the tank emptied next week 👍
Would be nice if you had hose system to slurry tanks and pump the rain water out into the field, we had a slurry pit with concrete bottom and a steel fence to keep muck and rain separate, holds about 2 years of slurry.
Hi George, Time to start biuld an Ark for all your stock and buy an old roll on roll off Ferry for all your tractors and equipment. 😊 Hope you are OK Noah.😊😅😊
Hi George, I recently came across your channel and have been enjoying watching all your content and I would like to know what sort of drone you use to get such excellent footage?
It seems Dji are the company to go for, which is good as I’ve just ordered a Mini 3. Worked on the farm for 22 years but I left to do something completely different for the last 8 years until I’ve gone back into farming last month so I’m having to relearn how to do everything and your vids (especially the ploughing ones) have been very helpful as I always used a Trimble guidance system back in the day but I’ve not got that in the new job.
You weren’t the only one to guess the river height wrong lol. Ours flooded more than I thought, it managed 3.5m in 16hrs which is way faster than it ever used to be but like you it’s just a pain but not real harm done
Its the windmills and solar panels wot duzzit, innit ? Too much anti gloabull warning stuff - all that rain 'cos the air is COOLING too quickly now, eh? Time to burn coal again. ... Yeah that's wot 's dunnit , George, all that Moling - fractured the soil, improving water transport THROUGH the system ( both ways - INto & OUT of the soil )
@@GeorgeSaunders I would never know cause im not a local. 😅I think you may have to change the final drive fluid on the crawler and change the oil in the rollers. Other wise there might be a very nasty surprise waiting for you in the future. The replacement of the bearings in these is not cheap.

In one way you are right ,but the River Ivel silted bunged up is helping George
Could be the perfect land for another estate of New builds

It's very bad George, the Belarus might become a submarine. Lovely shots of the flooding with the drone .
Great video George 👍 🚜 🔧

Can you build a scaffold type cover for the Slurry Tank
Would be nice if you had hose system to slurry tanks and pump the rain water out into the field, we had a slurry pit with concrete bottom and a steel fence to keep muck and rain separate, holds about 2 years of slurry.
Could you go umbilical system and keep the tankers off the fields? Thats awful.
Jesus mate that’s a lot of water! We have been wet with us but nothing like that. Best of luck and maybe get the fishery going as a side line 😉
You seem in good spirits with all the flooding
That's a lotta water. I hope it doesn't get any worse George.
Stay safe George. Hope it didn't come up any higher.
Omg that's a lot of water, we are in for it tomorrow in the south of ireland
That’s serious flooding George 👨🌾💦💦💦💦💦🚜 not good best wishes sent !
Is there a potential joint will it start episode with the old crawler??
I live in Blunham. So next to George it's even worse today
Holy moly George that’s pretty bad.

Hi George,
I recently came across your channel and have been enjoying watching all your content and I would like to know what sort of drone you use to get such excellent footage?
Cheers Adam, it's a DJI Mavic zoom 2, probably 4 years old now 👍

Blimey George you don’t need much of this . Your calves look good.
You weren’t the only one to guess the river height wrong lol. Ours flooded more than I thought, it managed 3.5m in 16hrs which is way faster than it ever used to be but like you it’s just a pain but not real harm done
Hey George Mole plow really putting the water to the river… 😅
😂😂😂

Where did you get the old Soviet DT-75 tractor?!😂😂
Why not hitch the FW to the crawler & tow it to higher drier land?
Sure that's what you have to do with calendar farming manure has to go out by certain date if it suitable or not just to comply
Good stuff George, Ye could do without this craic, this early in the autumn😶👍🙏🙂
I have a plan! Sell the fastie and the fw and get a hovercraft or a boat
That's not a bad idea!
So pan flat in your area easily flooded.
Where are you located George?
Locks be closed down here
Fen potatoes heads shut the gate waiting tide wash
Take it out
are you trying to sink the belarus or float it George
Grow rice instead.
HI George sorrey to see the farm under water for me i love ford new Holland tractors
That is some bad flooding and living in low areas is kind of a risk. Has it been this bad in the past as well?
It's not unusual, it has been worse in the past.

sign or whats to come getting worse for the future.
It's weather manipulation
First
Is there no where better to park the crawler ?????? In a nice dry barn undercover ???? Seems a crying shame to get it & treat it the way you are 😫😫😫😫🫣
