The 1455xl is legendary. I remember them in the fields pulling 6 furrows. They are governed in a way where it gives it fuel when it really needs it. They rev up slow when there is no load and when the load is on, the power just kicks in, and it holds itself until the very end. Very hard to stop these busses in its tracks. Great power and weight balance in these. The xl cab, designed by porsche is such a unique but excellent cab, fabulous looking cab too. The side windows at the front provide such good fresh air con. I have a 956xl, its smaller sibling, and i love it. Love the sound of these. Neuss built 💪
Hi George great video love old skool farm stuff especially the 1455xl case what a fantastic tractor one of my favorites tractor of all time what a awesome sound!! 😂😊
Fantastic video George and good to see you looking so happy. Brilliant to see the MF400 it brought back so many memories because as a kid I grew up around a MF500 can't wait to see her working. Don't forget that the transfer market closes at 11pm tonight so if you want that Case 1455XL you'd better move quickly.
That 1455 is a proper beast. They don’t make them like that anymore. I’ll bet that tractor will still be capable of earning its keep when its modern equivalent will have long died with all its electronics!
Excellent video George. Sorry to hear, Matt had a fire, an lost 40 acres. We were once in a field of cut winter barley. Guy, I worked for was Baling conventional flat eights. I was stacking, with a David Brown 996. Newer cab version, not the old, narrow door type. Ready to the waggons to load. As it was a long cart back, to his spot. I stopped as i could hear kids shouting an hollering at us. Then I heard a loud crackling sound and smelt smoke . Holy moly. The little buggers, had set the back swath alight. We were so lucky to get the tackle out, including the flat eight sledge. But lost over 1600 bales. Just stood watching them explode, as the fire got too them. Fire brigade came, and soaked the hedges, that's all they could manage, before running out of water. It's so easy to get caught out, if owt goes wrong.
Good Evening George, O the memories looking at that old 1455 they say the good old days well maybe but I still like, Thank you George it was nice to see it again. Well take care of yourself and stay safe.
What a lovely video George. As so many people keep saying it brings back memories of driving and old MF525 back then. Loved seeing the 1455, that was a gorgeous m/c must have been done recently by the looks of it. Thanks George always love you video's, esp when you are smiling.
George mate I must have said this on numerous harvest vids of yours . But that brings back sooo many memories. Grandad on the combine and myself and dad corn carting with a 1255 and a 1455 . Utterly brilliant mate .
You have all the fun on those machines George. Surprised you still enjoy it so much with all the hours you put in every year. But ill admit i enjoy seeing the twinkle in your eye when your set loose. Farm equipment, Harvest and the smells i really do miss from when i was young.
That was a superb video George, lovely equipment and machinery there. Fantastic International Case 1455XL tractor, absolutely awesome. (I have some video I took a few years ago of an International 1056XLploughing with a straight through exhaust I’ll try and forward it to you) 😊 looks like you had a great day out!! 🚜👍😊
Im struggling to say no to Any of that.. 😮🤑.. 😅. But sensible head says the old Nash... 😊.. Thank you and Co for allowing us to have a bigger wish list now.. 🤪.. stay safe 🏴
I use to drive a Massey 500 combine back in the day, it was very good, the seating position kept you largely out of most of the dust. The controls were very ergonomic for the day. P.S who would want an oily rag restoration when you see the paint on that Case
Excellent video George, what a fantastic day out! Some great machines on show! Stand out for me were the Case tractor and the MF400, which is in great original condition considering it is 60 years old!
Hallo george Nice Film from youngtimer machine like the 1455 a very good machine and the fastrac with krone quaderball press and the mccormick from your Friend
Chucked a loosen at 18:40. Massey 400 still has the sling plates on the front wheel hubs, should have been removed on PDI, a bit late now !!!!!Went to a small farm once where the old boy had a 400, but couldn't get enough drum speed. Drum belt was so slack you could tie a knot in it. Fitted a new belt and ran the drum up to speed. Drum had never run so fast, so much so that one of the rasp bars let go. Never heard a noise like it.
Our nearest agricultural dealer was IH so nearly all the farmers had them. I think the farmer next door had a 1056xl and 856xl. We had ford's 5610 & 6610.
THAT CASE 380 IS MADE FOR YOU GEORGE you would look better in that rather in 380 than FW , lovely condition the XL NO EURO SIX PROBS he has some nice kit
“Snowball Engineering” channel would probably be able to make you one of those link frames, (T&M) . He seems to have a penchant for that sort of thing.
Most 2WD combines don't need the traction on the steering axle that the combines with RWA (Rear wheel Assist) need. Basically RWA combines are 4WD so have the four tires all facing the same direction to provide traction/drive. RWA combines only have a steering rear axle and it performs better with them two tires facing the opposite direction.

I love the XL’s as well mate, takes me back to my 1056 days 👍 I might have entered a comp on fb for a 1455 🤞
Excellent video George, what a fantastic day out! Some great machines on show! Stand out for me were the Case tractor and the MF400, which is in great original condition considering it is 60 years old!
That's definitely been well looked after Charles 👍
you keep making me jealous George keep getting to operate these awesome bits of kit old and new :D.
Listen to that turbo on the N14 😏😏 It's gotta be a 1455 too 😩 Such a sweet sounding German 6 cylinder 🤙
Lovely tractors those 1455’s and the turbo whistle from it 😁. Still think i did right getting the trac over a 1455 though😁
Very enjoyable. Video. George
Enjoyed that one George.
Hallo george Nice Film from youngtimer machine like the 1455 a very good machine and the fastrac with krone quaderball press and the mccormick from your Friend
1455xl over your tw q cab all day long that quadtrack is a beast
Love the old international tractors
Great video as usual 👍🏻👍🏻 This year we put the John Deer 4430 on the old krone big pack whilst bailing hay she sounds sweet as a nut 😍
Chucked a loosen at 18:40. Lovely machines
Almost scratched the paint on that lovely XL with that tight cornering on the baler!! Lucky you hit the rear wheel. 😅
Always handy to have a Hillmaster in the flatlands! 🙂
If you search back a couple of years I show that combine earning it's keep on a steep hill 👍
Our nearest agricultural dealer was IH so nearly all the farmers had them. I think the farmer next door had a 1056xl and 856xl. We had ford's 5610 & 6610.
Case-IH Magnum was supposed to take over from the 1455, but the 1455 was still in production when the 7000-series Magnum went out of production.
Just Awesome!!
Proper tractors George
THAT CASE 380 IS MADE FOR YOU GEORGE you would look better in that rather in 380 than FW , lovely condition the XL NO EURO SIX PROBS he has some nice kit
So who was bailing, you or Matt, when one came off the back into the rear wheel of my tractor with the header trailer on?
Yep it was quickly glossed over that one.....!!! 🤣
I don't know what you're on about🤔
@@GeorgeSaunders 🤣🤣
how does the case sound compared to the TW Goerge?
It sounds even better I think 👍
I remember you baleing for john do you here anything off him 😊
“Snowball Engineering” channel would probably be able to make you one of those link frames, (T&M) . He seems to have a penchant for that sort of thing.
Some proper farming George..it's all happening..😂 found out what's wrong with your fastrac yet .
I remember a tractor pulled bagging combine and the bags were over 400 lbs
Very nice 1455.
Class👌👌
What would be the reason for the rear wheels on the JD combined to be on back to front? Please
It’s supposed to reduce tyre wear but each to their own.
Most 2WD combines don't need the traction on the steering axle that the combines with RWA (Rear wheel Assist) need. Basically RWA combines are 4WD so have the four tires all facing the same direction to provide traction/drive. RWA combines only have a steering rear axle and it performs better with them two tires facing the opposite direction.
they grip better when being pulled along
I got the same tractor as you on farming simulator 22
George when I was younger straw was alot taller than it is now I'm thinking possibly 3-4ft tall now it's short can you tell me why
😀🚜👍
