Did i see 645kg as an average bale weight?!! 😮 We buy german straw, baled by a Claas baler i believe (only one knot per string). This years strawbales weigh 325kg (for a 70x120x240). Last year they were only 280/290 on average😅 (but really beautiful and great working straw).
The double ram should save a lot of fuel, for the engine pick up. NH, they developed fuel control, supplies additional fuel when the plunger pushes, injecting extra fuel save fuel as there is no engine pick up. Is Kuhn a better baler the Krone?????
Looks like a cracking bit of kit .......i don't know much about big square balers cos i have a contractor to do my baling but he baled some haylage for us this year it was a real heavy tangly crop and his New Holland baler did not like it .......to be fair i think straw bales easier and it would be more of a test to try it on some long tangly silage/haylage to see how it copes with that but it does look a well designed baler. i wouldn't mind having the tractor either or even a bit smaller model would do me........the SDF range is a good range of tractors now i think......i've got a couple of SAME tractors........there nothing fancy but for a livestock farmer they've got all you need

Another good vid, good outfit hard to beat a Deutz. Should try a power shift one. That DX4.50 of yours should power your round baler my DX4.70 powers McHale F5500 with ease and she’s only 86 at shaft but she just eats it
Deutz Fahr are an expensive un reliable over complicated pile of rubbish George , A 1ooo hour service will cost you £2600 . At the moment my warrior 2022 machine has 2 faults and i cant pull a trailer because my draw bar is hanging of which happened 3 times in 6 months . it's spent 2 weeks in Collins bros with electronic problems in August . if you want to look at a decent tractor case puma 240 wicked tractor .

Nice kit George makes a decent bale
We run two of these balers and they easily produce those bale weights.
Tried both power shift and TTV years ago the TTV was great and very easy to use! Didn’t seem to loose much power to a power shift either.
I say go for power shift on plough, she work bit harder 😉

Not a farmer, but a farmer told me square bales take up less space when stacked i.e. no gaps
