Today is the first time I got to see how ur farming works, as I have now opened my eyes and have thought that they are hero's too, not because the army has to be a hero's, not only because they have been to wars and receive a medal, think what KEPT us ALIVE every day of our lives, farmers have to make sure animals live another day until they come to their age then off to be slaughter for our food and many other animals reasons too, vegetables and so on, to make sure there is food on our plate every day. So I salute u all farmers, doctors, nurses, police, and people working in bigger shops too are hero's while the virus going on. Big thank u all and God Bless u worlds.
i am enjoying this and i can tell you that i see the problem with the knotters as plain as the nose on your face.whats happening is the blower is not cleaning the knotter aria well enough and fodder is building up under the plunger dog stops. thats causing the fodder in the chamber to make contact with the needles. it will drive you nuts until you clean that out. ill make a video for you.
I watched Wes's video. Then I watched this one. This is not criticism, more an observation. When I saw your knotters my first thought was, Wes's were never that piled up with material. It then made sense.
100% correct OLF. Also Ryan you don't have to tie the top or bottom back. I pull 4 ft out of the top twine and thread through the roller and drop down through the chamber(may have to bob it a couple times to get it to fall all the way down) then thread your bottom through the needle roller and tie the 2 together. Good to go!
Wes, you would also advised them that the tractor is not green and is therefore a fake tractor, which is bad, bad, very bad, problems should be expected! Is that a smaller krone? Wondering why they can run that with alot lower hp than an 8530? Or is it the fact that hay is a far heavier material. Plus, your output is alot higher if I can remember.
@@trentjordan1341 yes they been done with for long time. Ryan did bring it up on one of his vlogs that they are no longer together. Jamie didn't care for farming anyway.
Ryan, 55 years ago, I was feeling your pain with the knotters. Stunning that they have not changed. And now I understand why my brother only makes round bales with net wrap.
what a great life-we farmed when tractors were becoming available- i started driving the hay wagon w/ a team of horses- then a small grey ford tractor and red farmall- my dad would get me set up in a field and i would be out there all day driving tractor in a field or ride the mower behind the tracto or pulling the hay bailer. how things have changed-but still the best life to live with a family.
When you were treading the Krone's needle, it reminded me of the story of how John Deere got started. He realized when polishing his mother's sewing needles that steel would be better then cast iron for making plows in the sticky prairie soil.
Good point. My guess is he's thinking about the modern round baler, i.e. the Vermeers of the 1970's. Which is the same era during which Hesston invented these large square balers.
Another great video Ryan as all of them are!! I must say u and Hannah sure to make a great team. Keep up the great work guys and thanks for all u do. Have a goodone
The 72 series Case tractors came out the same time and competed with the John Deere 55 series. I ran both series of tractors when they were new and I preferred the Magnum. They were smoother shifting and pulled a chisel plow more smoothly .I believe because the Magnum was heavier in the front.
Ryan, don't mind the comments, people will always say stuff so you probably already have a thick skin. Include Hannah more in your videos, she brings so much positive energy and happiness and that makes you and your videos better. And makes the work a lot easier, when you have someone who supports you. You guys rock!
Hi from oz Ryan. You’ve finally found the best brand of baler. There are tricks of the trade too using square balers and troubleshooting them. It’s a good idea to spend time with an operator if you’re planning on doing a lot of wok with one to learn the tricks. With those knitter problems I knew exactly the cause. Easily fixed with a hammer LOL. the manual even tells you to use a hammer LOL. Anyway I love my Krone big square although at times they are frustrating.
Great video Ryan. I think everyone is annoyingly nosy asking every two seconds your exact relationship with Hannah, but I will say you two make a good video together👍 I can remember being in high school and instead of doing homework at night I was reading the John Deere manual trying to figure out how to set up the knotters on the Baler lol..
One other bonus you forgot about square bales over round bales is you don't have to worry about them running away into a fence line when they are kicked out. Also, Am I wrong in thinking that fodder doesn't tear up a square baler to the same degree it does a round baler? I know you guys have mentioned in the past that the biggest thing that tears up the belts on your round baler is the corn fodder running through it.
I like how nice of a pile those bales make when they're stacked. However, it looks like you had some trying issues as you were making them, compared to the relative simplicity of your round baler's operation. If nothing else, you got some experience with a new-to-you piece of equipment that you might otherwise never have gotten. And we had the fun of being entertained by Hannah's shenanigans.
Actually round bales have been around since the late 40’s early 50’s. Allis Chambers made a small round baler. Bales were the same size as regular square bales. They were popular because less moving parts, unpopular because they were hard to stack.
Never baled with a round baler but seems the ever present stopping and starting, along with the constant steering left and right to get an even bale would be a drag.
Good day Ryan. Hugs from Brazil! Here in Brazil we like to let the straw of the harvest in the soil to fertilize it. We are used to harvest 100 sacs (60kg) of corn per acre doing that. Amazing video.
good point,, but you dont steel fertilizer by baling the straw! You just BORROW it a year, as long as you use it around the farm, and dont sell it.. Eighter by using it as bedding ore mixing it in with tmr rations, it will be mixd with manure and be put back on the field. It saves the farmer from buying say sawdust ore sand for bedding.
Thanks for the photo today Ryan it was really cool meeting you and getting your autograph, I wish we could of got more time to talk, thank you for taking your time to talk for a little bit and to get a picture with you this is (Matt) by the way. Thanks
do not feel bad there ryan my family been farming for more than 60 years and we still use our fleet of farmall equipment nothing new just the old our oldest is a 1948 farmall h only been rebuilt once 1949 bn never been rebuilt 1965 farmall 656 our fleet never disappoint us but we do not do big bales just little ones have a great time you will love it
When the string doesn't tie pull the loose string through and tie it off on the cross member. We always tied underneath and it worked fine. Tying it on top will also work and guarantees a good knot next time it ties.
Mister, I have never laughed so hard at someone trying so hard to keep a straight face. Your rendition of "green acres" and your straight face had me in stitches. Thank you kindly for a gentle laugh. Subscribing. ScottishxPride, Tx.
Good evening. Little bit more time an you'll get the sweet spot of the baler,as well figure out the 72. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that style also known as the "box car" tractors? Thanks to Hanna and her family for letting you vlog while helping. Be safe.

Ryan you better get ur big boy pants on to drive that big bad magnum case and not to mention a krone monster big pack , best ever baler made , we get a custom guy to bale for our big square for a client we sell hay too , we do have krone round bales with the roto cut , best money we ever spent .
Balers Break, they did 30 years ago and still do today. When you have moving parts they break. Hay season is a stressful time on a farm, especially when you have every kid in the area coming over for hay rides. i really think that's why round bales were designed so the kids had nothing to sit on LOL
"I got this". Like Hanna's spirit. Way to go Hanna.
go hanna you a good one babe

It may not be your color but hands down that’s one of the most reliable machines ever built.
I like Hannas positive attitude... she always seems to be smiling and upbeat
Ryan
You and Hanna are idea for each other. You work good together and laugh good together. Love seeing you 2 work together.
Keep it up.
They do have great chemistry!
im sure theres more but we will never hear it,, its dark, she flirting, great field,,
@@arnoldromppai5395 I figure he wouldn't want to say much since the buttholes put Jamie down so much.
Steve Holsten so Jamie and he are done? I asked in a comment a while back but never heard anything back.

Great video Ryan , good to see you help others and also gaining experience .Hannah is a great girl and not shy to get things done .
Awesome video I love the older tractor's for early 90s not all the computer crap of today
Hannah seems like a really fun person. This important in a work team. Well done Hannah!
Ryan and Hannah, you both worked so well together. Another awesome video.

I like those Magnum tractors. I ran a 7150 and a 7240 for a few years. The 7150 was for tillage and the 7240 pulled a 955 international planter.
When you were treading the Krone's needle, it reminded me of the story of how John Deere got started. He realized when polishing his mother's sewing needles that steel would be better then cast iron for making plows in the sticky prairie soil.
Round balers have been around since 1947 when Allis Chalmers made the Roto Baler.
Good point. My guess is he's thinking about the modern round baler, i.e. the Vermeers of the 1970's. Which is the same era during which Hesston invented these large square balers.
Remember Ryan on the Krone just ask Wes he knows those balers inside and out he can probably help you.
Ryan... You have a cool intern. I think Hannah brings a lot to your channel
I like the What the Heck is This Thing? Sounded like Zach Johnson 😁👍🏼
One Lonely Farmer has plenty of Big Pac videos on servicing the unit.
I like that status screen on the monitor. It shows a picture of the actual baler.
Love that Farm Girl "I can do it" spirit !! Great Video!
Another great video Ryan as all of them are!! I must say u and Hannah sure to make a great team. Keep up the great work guys and thanks for all u do. Have a goodone
The 7220 really is a good looking tractor.
Great video. Hannah is a lot of fun...what a great person.
We baled hay with an Allis Chalmers Roto Baler from 1950's on. The bales were smaller but the concept was the same.
It's like watching a Hallmark Movie but for Farmer's!
I like it and Hanna! Keep it up.
Really found this interesting. Great drone footage. Beautiful rolling hills and countryside. What an office! Thanks for sharing. Be well.

Love hannahs energy
We’ve got a 7150 and that thing pulls 20 ton silage wagons like a champ here in NEPA we’ve got hills galore but it pulls it like it’s not even there
Minnesota recently outlawed the round bales, the cows weren’t getting a good square meal.
