While it may have been your first project James, on the positive side you will be a wiser man as a result. That may seem a poor return for the cost involved but I have no doubt you are wiser for it
A great way to spend 38 minutes watching your video's James, and the banter between yourself & Michael is just great. It is good to see you and the workers talking about how to do things on a day to day basis, will be nice to see the shed of dreams being completed. I reckon you should have a open day.
Sandy is the main man I’d love a man like him! 10000% a company man and a what a company to work for. Love your videos gives me so much ambition to keep pushing on thank you James
From what I remember, farming is always a headache. When it’s not, then it’s because you’ve forgotten about something 😂😂😂 Have a good holiday, enjoy the break. All the worrying in the world will not change the weather, trust your staff to get the job done
Great post James. Just be very careful with that new shed the thought is great to have all the machinery neatly parked away. But as someone else mentioned a fire would leave you with absolutely nothing but warped burnt-out metal. It happened to a neighbour a few years ago he lost all his tractors and tillage machinery just the combine and self propelled potato harvester was left as they were on another farm. The machinery were all first class equipment he had everything in top working order even all the spare machinery parts was gone. Totally heartbreaking. It had started from a handler. I've fitted dead man switches to anything that hasn't come with one and they are all activated when not in use. And just as I'm writing this I've got a text that has informed me a farmer has lost a hay shead this morning. Just think about some sort of fire protection system. Always great to watch you're videos and listen to the banter.
We had similar problem with the water meter. Anglia water accepted that they fitted the meter so it was there problem and issue a credit against the account. So don’t let the water company away-with it . Anthony
Great update James. I hope it stays dry for you. Your team’s commitment is just brilliant. I also vote for “Liz Hurley” for the building and maybe she’ll come and open it for you! 😃
I can tell James through your body language that your first 'bendy' shed caused some "Farmer Trauma" . Thank you for your time, Time and experience is paramount! Positivity Leads To Productivity!
Don't worry too much about low seed rates & tillers in barley James, under stressful conditions, you're trying to grow 2 or maybe 3 seed heads from one root set. Just fire the seed in nice and thick. One seed one root one head. Plus it might smother out your black grass quicker?
Call your new shed El Dorado (golden city) housing millions of worth machines. 😊 That pile of mustard would fill around 250 thousand jars I’d guess.. Enjoy your holiday away from the relentless rain 🌧️
Great content James…as always. Question: if your drilling window is getting smaller due to wetter Octobers - why not keep the harvest boys on and increase the number of drills etc?
Another great insight into the hardship that British Farmers are dealing with at the moment. Thanks as always for providing such high quality content for everyone! Fingers crossed for the Barley !
Great catch up video Jamie’s the banter between you and Michael always makes me smile, you have a cracking group of men to keep the business flowing while you’re on your jollies, and a shed name possibly big boys toys plus 50% off stuff you use can’t be missed, and the shed is starting to come together and we be half finished,by the time you get back and most of all enjoy your holiday it’s well deserved 👍👍
Hi James I have a small farm in cornwall, we have a borehole what we put in , in 2022 as our well ran out of water. The borehole is 85ft down, would a borehole be better for you.
Another great video James, just go enjoy your break with your wife and daughters, things will be in good hands back at the farm with cousin Michael, Gordon and ALL of your dedicated team I am sure they will do their very best for you as you are a boss in a million and I can see that in every video with the relationship you have with them and it works both ways they will go that extra mile for a great boss I know I definitely would.
James, crap bags on hanging on gate's we had a problem with it in our village had to put signs up There is no crap fairy to clear up after you please use bins dotted around the village. I feel your pain.
Are you going to put fire suppression in the shed of dreams? If that lot went up the insurance might pay up (eventually) but getting replacement machines would be a nightmare and could kill the business. There's milage in not putting all your eggs in one basket.
my thoughts exactly, insurance company would try and wriggle out of paying as too much equipment is parked too close, they told us to keep it well seperated so as to mitigate losses.
James go away and enjoy your holiday! You have Michael and a yard full of top guys all with your best interest at heart. They will make the right decisions and get your wheat planted🙂.
Great video James, I’m very interested to hear an explication of the contract framing business model you run when have a chance! Straight cash rent is the most popular where I’m at in Canada, but I feel like your system or a variation of your system may fit, lots of farmers in my area are in their mid 60’s so lots of land coming up in the next 5 years!
James, we had exactly the same situation with a £6k water bill, following a leak. The leak was on an old section of metal pipe 30m our side of the meter. We were told we had yo pay but could do so in installments. Several months later the remaining balance was fully credited back to us after a review.
@@petec2589 they use your previous consumption data against the peak reading to verify the anomaly and bill you on the estimated normal usage instead. That's how they did it with me.
Great update James as usual. Really enjoyed listening to you and Michael talking about the Barley. Just a thought, at next year's cereals event at Andrew Wards, you, Michael and Andrew could do a talk with questions. A bit like they do at the game fayre discussing different topics.
I have enjoyed your videos since they started great insight into large scale arable farming. As an operator for over 30 years I would call your new shed Elysium. ( or possibly Hurley😉)
have you ever considered taking on an apprentice farm worker? there are a few farms near me (south lincs) that are starting to take apprentices and do you think apprenticeships are they way forward for the industry
Great video James it will come right at some point. Think the new sprayer shed will be awesome. interesting to see how you do it, water, etc. Call the new shed, Man Cave, doesn't matter how big the shed is there will never be enough gear in it to do the job 😂🙊
James as you are partial to the occasional McDonalds I think you should name the new shed the Drive through 😂😂. I’m totally addicted to this channel James and Michael make me laugh so much 😂😂.
I second what JasonLakeland said behind every great team is a great boss and you have a great team love sandy hes the perfect Employee one in a million, really hope you enjoy your holiday and don't stress too much after all you have done this year you need to relax a bit, your team has your back covered enjoy life :)
Love all the banter, when yr working on yr own a pot of the time, it gives me a cheesy smile! Thank you all guys. Is the new spray house going to be heated? Have a wonderful holiday James and relax... (the shite will still be here waiting for you! (Hopefully not on a gate!)😂)
should the new Shed call it PX Theatre of Dreams... Enjoy your Holiday hope you manage to switch off... and with the guys you have they will do good by you
great video and love the comradery well done with the team getting planting done and started and the new workshop looking cool - James Toy Store - JTS nice name :) have a great holiday
Had an interesting discussion this week with a local seed company who is upgrading the cameras on his colour sorter to look at texture to take Barley/ Oats out of wheat and reckons he won't loose much output doing it so could be an investigation with your colour sorter supplier
What's your local council like for getting planning permission for that building? Hopefully they are supportive of your business and the employment it brings
James's we had similar problems with united utilities over a water bill ! They replaced the meter but used the old seals out of the replaced meter these failed the meter leaked but never to the surface so not spotted till the bill came (10 times the normal) they initially refused responsibility took 3 years to resolve legal advice during this period was to carry on paying the normal billing amount so as they couldn't claim no payment ! New shed name old Trafford aka theatre of dreams and this is coming from a Liverpool fan 😂
Leave the bad barley to Michael. All will be well when you return from your holiday; especially if he’s remembered to dislodge the poo 💩 bag from the gatepost and tossed it into the worst spot. Any agronomist worth his salt understands the importance of the view from the road 😊 so the picture will be different when you return. Enjoy your time away. Shed name: Halo (with PX logo on the roof)
While it may have been your first project James, on the positive side you will be a wiser man as a result. That may seem a poor return for the cost involved but I have no doubt you are wiser for it

As someone that also looks at expensive machinery that sits idle for 10 months of the year, the new shed needs to be known as 'The Money Pit'.
Sandy is the main man I’d love a man like him! 10000% a company man and a what a company to work for. Love your videos gives me so much ambition to keep pushing on thank you James
We love sandy
Always a pleasure to see the banter between you and cousin Michael... 😂But also the respect you have for each other and we can see the ❤... 👍
The '70 mph Ergonomist', that had me in stitches, thank you James.😂🤣😂
The Depreciation shed 😂😂😂, great video again James ❤
I think that’s brilliant
13 mins 40 secs, looks like you and cousin Michael are going to start a race 😂.
You have great team there James. Don't worry about it when your away on holiday. Enjoy yourself, only young once 👍🙂
From what I remember, farming is always a headache. When it’s not, then it’s because you’ve forgotten about something 😂😂😂 Have a good holiday, enjoy the break. All the worrying in the world will not change the weather, trust your staff to get the job done

Excellent video as ever James, you deserve so many more subscribers than you currently have.
Great update James. I hope it stays dry for you. Your team’s commitment is just brilliant.
I also vote for “Liz Hurley” for the building and maybe she’ll come and open it for you! 😃
That’s a lovely idea
I with Liz hurley as name for new shed
I can tell James through your body language that your first 'bendy' shed caused some "Farmer Trauma" .
Thank you for your time, Time and experience is paramount!
Positivity Leads To Productivity!
Looking forward to seeing the new toy shop finished.

Great content James…as always.
Question: if your drilling window is getting smaller due to wetter Octobers - why not keep the harvest boys on and increase the number of drills etc?
Looking forward to the finished new buildings , I’m almost as excited as James 👍 The channel is going great guns .
Your new shed should be called "Narnia" with the meaning being "Perfect World" a place for everything and everything in its place, just heavenly .
Another great insight into the hardship that British Farmers are dealing with at the moment. Thanks as always for providing such high quality content for everyone! Fingers crossed for the Barley !

Re. those panels in the grain stores :- a masterpiece of logical thinking . I could see that being adopted as the standard design on all farms .
Hi James I have a small farm in cornwall, we have a borehole what we put in , in 2022 as our well ran out of water.
The borehole is 85ft down, would a borehole be better for you.
Write PX FARMS in the roof of the new shed with the placement of the skylight roof sheets. JP Towers 😅
James, go away relax and enjoy time with the family. The lads and Michael will get it done.
Regarding your water bill, we spent around £3k years ago and sunk boreholes, job sorted.
HURLEYS... A lovely box
Are you having a fire detection and suppression system in the toy shed if you are putting all of your toys in one box? One goes up, all gone.

Keep with the scotland names. i think Lossiemouth is a good one because it's the raf base with lots of toys, and that's your shed of toys.
Superb video as usual James. Have a good holiday and leave it to your superb staff.
Another most interesting podcast, thanks to everyone involved at PX Farms.
Call it what it is James " the dream shed" be proud of it..
Great videos, very interesting listening to experts in their field!
"The Toy Box". simple and easy to remember and so accurate.
Surely Sheddy McShedface is a front runner. Even fits with the Scottish theme

Your new shed name. The toy box. Keep up your good videos coming really interesting and just the scale 😮
Enjoy the holiday, well deserved.
Enjoy your break James. Well deserved
Hampton Park. (ie parking equipment) or Ibrox depending on your beliefs just to Strengthen the SCOTTISH theme. With regard to the new Shed.
have you ever considered taking on an apprentice farm worker? there are a few farms near me (south lincs) that are starting to take apprentices and do you think apprenticeships are they way forward for the industry
I do think helping the young love farming is my duty
Reckon this Shed mob deserve an episode around building sheds mate!
The new shed must be Parc fermé after the formular 1 paddock. A secure place for hybrid machinery.
Great video James it will come right at some point. Think the new sprayer shed will be awesome. interesting to see how you do it, water, etc. Call the new shed, Man Cave, doesn't matter how big the shed is there will never be enough gear in it to do the job 😂🙊

New shed name “ the sod shed” ( shed of dreams ) have a good holiday 👍
Another interesting video James cheers, have a nice holiday.
James I’d be very interested to hear what your machinery insurance says about all the machines parked in the one shed!!
My name for the new shed is, The showroom, or Hibernation shed!
Great video again , enjoy the holiday
Brilliant update, 👌
Looked like a different coloured unimog in the yard when you were talking to Sandy. Demo??

Liz Hurley for the Grand Opening 😉

How did applying seed dressing within the Can-Agro auger work out?
James, have you ever thought about getting some 1/50 scale model trucks made ? They would sell well and you could make a bit of coin on them.
Great content I look forward to the videos
If you could would you rather plough everything ??
should the new Shed call it PX Theatre of Dreams... Enjoy your Holiday hope you manage to switch off... and with the guys you have they will do good by you
Very interested in one of the bucket brushes if you are selling them. Cheers
Hi,James have you put solar panels on any of your shed rooves,it disturbs me when nice ground is used for solar farms.
Tool Box. Name for new shed
Continuing the Scotland theme I would name the new building Glencoe after the spectacular mountain range.
great video and love the comradery well done with the team getting planting done and started and the new workshop looking cool - James Toy Store - JTS nice name :) have a great holiday
Excellent comedy double act mixed in with some serious farming.
Great video James
another great video again always a pleaser watching your videos as always
James, a name for the new shed could be James‘s playroom
You could call it Peckingham Palace.
You should make Sandy a partner. He could be the future of PX farms
The sheds name has to bee VAL HALL 🧌from a Norwegian Viking 👍🇳🇴 love your video (and your humor )
I haven’t even finished drilling my barley let alone anything else.
Had an interesting discussion this week with a local seed company who is upgrading the cameras on his colour sorter to look at texture to take Barley/ Oats out of wheat and reckons he won't loose much output doing it so could be an investigation with your colour sorter supplier
another good one. turn youre phone off and enjoy youre holiday
Shed name , PX’s Toy Box ,👍
Could you graze that field with lambs in it he backend would that not even it out a bit
What's your local council like for getting planning permission for that building?

Name for your shed, James’ toy’s ‘r’ us
Leave the bad barley to Michael.
Colsterworth....I was born there in the 60s
Should call the shed Camolot.
24:29 you should call it the “Toy box!” 🫶🏻
Px toy box would be a good name for the shed
Also showcase shed.. Or the shed on its own is a good name... Welcome to the shed 🎉.... Or my showcase shed 😂
