SIMTOOLS PRO thank you very much Dave. My project is currently stopped because my motors, being small for my weight, some ninety-odd kilos, caused the destruction of the internal gear of the reducer motor. It was difficult for me to get a bigger one, I would have liked to get the motor that you installed a year ago that you recommended me for its great torque, but my desire to have something similar made me invent something with a forward and backward push ,1 motor (brake - movement acceleration) and that's as far as it goes. I wish you have a happy year
Well you in the drawing Daniel. Yeah motors are a tricky thing.. I just wish those big motors from Australia were not like $350 each.. So we gotta make due. Myself I hover around 205 pounds so making the balance point as good as i can and trying to keep weight in mind for the top frame is always a priority..
Simtools pro Great video. Thanks. Just completed my 3dof home build. Really pleased. Wouldn't have got it done without you buddy. Xsimulator has been an awesome source too, and I'm loving Simtools v3. So much nicer interface. I think the test as to whether your build has been successful is that when your friends and family have a go, they can't stop laughing out loud, infact the harder they laugh the better the job you have made of it! I'm looking forward to posting my project on Xsimulator soon. Take care dave and thanks for your help.
Very Cool Simon.. I appreciate you checking in.. I'm sending out a few copys of Pro.. so be sure to comment on the next few videos.. Hope you win. Yeah.. motion sims are the bomb.. I cant even drive a sim without my 3dof now.. it's just not even close.. Dave
Sim tool pro Been following your videos as a guide to adding movement to my aircraft replica sim Thanks for taking the time with the details Keep it up!!
Hey B! Thanks for checking in.. I'm doing the drawing tonight so we shall see who wins the prize.. There are a few more in the next few videos.. so "STAY TUNED" DMAX
Happy new year to you too! Your IN the drawing ! Its a bit of a project, so if you win, that's one less thing to get.. plus you need simtools anyway so.. Good Luck
Simtools Pro Woot! A late xmas present! Time to sit down and watch! I hope you had a great holiday,. My current plan is to ride on your coattails ;) But seriously, your video series has been in inspiration for doing a simrig. I am planning on using your compact 3DOF setup here for my base and trying to throw a bit of my own style into it too. I already have my welder and have been practicing while I finish up my virtual pinball table build. I'm not 'good' but I think I can produce a serviceable weld! I bought my arduino uno and my motor drivers. I just had a motor get delivered today(30W 50:1 24V). It looks a little smaller than what you are using but it was only $40 and will be good for testing at least(we will see how strong it is when I get there).
Your in the drawing now rndmlogin! Hope the video was ok.. Had a good holiday till everyone including me got sick.. still circling the drain a little' as you can tell from the video.. hahah! Happy new years eve my friend!
Sim tools pro. Thanks Dave. Running an asr3 cockpit with fanatec dd wheel. The place you got your motors is the town I live in. Might have to go see Kim and buy a few.
Darrell, your in the drawing! Thanks for watching and I hope to get that DD wheel up and running in a few days.. So your talking the 'crab pot motors'? if you are let me know.. I may need to get a few more this year!
'simtools pro' great build series, you have inspired me to build a 3dof rig. It's basically Dof Reality H3 clone just waiting for the motors to show up and get it all wired up. thanks for all the great content i will be reviewing your videos on wiring up the Arduino and motor controllers here soon. Have a Happy New Year!
Well, your in the drawing an6sim9! the second part of this 'compact' simulator build will feature the 'wiring' and programming for arudino IBT2 SMC3 etc. So stay tuned! Dave
"Simtools Pro"Hello Dave, last year I made a small 2dof to verify the operation and it turned out very well, I already had the basket with all the components to make a 2dof, only for the seat, but there were changes in the family and we are under construction house and I had to move my cave to the top floor, it is a change for the better, but I have a problem, the vibrations, now I have 7 large bodyshakers and there is a lot of vibration downstairs, so I am about to build an area with air suspension and put the cockpit up, it would be a thick board of 3x2mts on top of 6 inner tubes, and if all goes well, I'll continue with my 2Dof, thanks for everything and best regards.
Well Jose ! your in the drawing now.. Sounds like a good problem to have.. I only have the two buttkickers.. cant imagine 7.. Maybe try and build a small insulated platform for the rig? IDK..
Great vids..... been watching your channel since I subscribed from the first one. Inspiring and a fountain of knowledge through real experience that can't really be found anywhere else.... Those SimTools PRO look great.... ;) keep up the good work...... My rig is an aluminum profile based setup and triple 32 monitors. Building up my gaming PC at the moment. Been going on for about a year as I accumulate parts and disposable income. Going to put in a diy SFX100 motion system. Wife keeps asking when I'll get it finished, Last December after Thanksgiving I said just a couple more months.......... famous last words "I've never done this before, but I watched a few RUclips videos"......... LOL....
'SIMTOOLS PRO' AWESOME Stuff Dave, I've been watching your videos to help me start my 3DOF build, just not sure what motors I'm going to use, flashed my Arduino last night, can't wait to get it going. Thanks for posting all the videos!
Well your in on the drawing.. if you get those hall effect 180 degree sensors (pots), you should be able to at least verify your wiring works once your ready😃
Simtools Pro Hey Dave! I'm attempting to create almost a replica of what you're building here on this video, I already have a playseat so I'm going to use that as a base and just try and weld it to a box frame, from then on going to do just as you've done on this and previous builds using the same components and motors! Thanks for all your help!
Well Cris, your in the drawing! Sounds good. I wonder how much the playseat weighs.. If Things go good with this new design I may try and update the plastic race seat with a heavier one.. Although once I added the wheelbase and wheel, they seemed to weigh more than anticipated. i will pull them off later and get a weight on them.. Dave
@@DMAX_DIY the seat with it's playseat frame weigh about 45 pounds... I'm not too worried about weight since I'm only 145lbs :) but I will need to stiffen the playseat since it just uses a single tubular rail in the middle to tie the pedals/wheel base to the seat, so there might be a lot of modification. it's a Playseat Evolution for reference.
'SIMTOOLS PRO' Been watching your videos for awhile and im building this compact rig with you thanks for all your help you really add alot to the community!
Your in the drawing my friend! Good luck! Thanks for watching my videos. I just wish more guys were posting how to build videos too.. Well.. more to come from me
Keep at it Dave Great Stuff. You will love that DD wheel. Hope your painting. See you on the Track Dave! Sim Tools Pro Rocks! I made a 3DoF using nothing but rectangles and squares. Now I need to learn how to solder.. Please No more Christmas Music. Cheers Bud
"Simtools Pro" Thanks for the update Dave. This one came just in time as I was about to weld those motors and that tip to switch the motor around is awesome. Mine follows your plans mostly with a few tweaks for my own customization. Made some rear stablizer arms this week and will post an update on xsimulator maybe tomorrow.
Daumen hoch weiter so ! Grüße aus Deutschland
Thanks for the great comment Vwventofan! I appreciate you watching the videos. All the best you to! Dave // Translated to eng : I've been watching your videos for a number of years, and you gave me the idea of building my own simulation seat! Unfortunately I don't have much time at the moment, but the construction should continue in the next few weeks! Thumbs up keep it up!
Simtools Pro Hey Dmax, still working on my rig that I commented on in the 1st or second video here, (kids make it tough to find time to work on it...) Love the channel and glad to see you making progress. I have everything ready to go on my end just need to mount my motors to test them before final install. Super glad I watched this one and got the tip for the motor shaft swap, literally doing that right now! I have the Fanatec CSL DD/DD Pro as well and pretty happy with it, curious to hear how you think it stacks up against the old CSL you had, anyway good luck with the new gear and happy new year!
Kyle Your in the drawing! Yah i'm glad that I was able to show the swap.. I really wanted to try it out and it worked first time! I have not got the DDpro running yet due to lack of time and all that but I'm looking forward to it as I hear DD has a lot of detail that the belt drive motors seem to miss..
Simtools Pro My rig is currently inop. Waiting for taxes to get a new wheel. I have been watching your updates and plan on making a motion sim along my journey.
Nice name btw.. x AF.. yeah.. if you get a few bucks together, (not too much) you can DIY your way into motion.. Thats what my thing is all about.. DIY instead of spend spend spend.. Although I still seem to 'spend' a bit.. haha.. Dave
Sim Tools Pro. Planning a motion setup for 2023. My wife gave the ok for me to convert 2 old connected sheds to the back of our home built in the 50s and combine them into 1 room about 200sqft. This room is going to be for my motion sim for racing and flight sim. Also gonna have a very small bar area where the boys hang and smoke cigars. Well that's the dream. We'll see how far I get b4 the plug gets pulled on the budget. 😁
Your in the drawing Steadman Dublin! Hope you dont see a 'budget cap'.. That should be a large enough area to have fun in for sure. Yeah.. 3DOF in VR is incredible.. I just cant get enough of it..! Dave
Well, Kevin.. You will eventually get a tool here and there and then all of a sudden (after like 20 years) you have all the tools you might need.. except that one thing.. hahah Thanks for watching my friend! Dave
Great Comment my friend! Yeah.. if you spread it out over a few months you can afford to make it .. In the end using some inexpensive parts and maybe borrowing a welder or bolting it together you can do it and have an awesome rig.. Just takes some time.. That's maybe why they are so expensive.. people dont have the time and want to jump in 'tomorrow'.. but patients is the key.. Dave
Simtools pro Great video Dmax ive been waiting patiently for episode #8 i cant wait to see the finish product. I decided on building a 3 DOF rig so far i have the arduino n bt2 running and im waiting for more parts to come in I’ve decided to run my potentiometer with gears. Should be cool anyway keep inspiring us to build our own rigs.. happy new year’s 🎉
Your in the drawing Manny! Yeah I thought about using two gears and a small belt.. seems simple enough.. I just could not find the parts with push came to shove so I went with the rubber tubing.. Keep pluggin away my friend!
"Simtools Pro" and happy new year Dave 🎉..right now i'm building my 2Dof and honestly i found your channel during make a research on how to build this rig..❤ your explanation give me a lot of idea..thank you for making all video ❤ please continue in future to make all diy project regarding sim rig because your video influence the others😊
'Simtools Pro' Thanks for posting this Dave, have definitely been waiting for your latest installment. My rig is loosely based on your first rig. It's quite a bit longer to mimic an F1 seating arrangement which may end up making it too heavy, but hey I'll learn something and have plenty of metal to rearrange for v2 🙂.
Well now your in the drawing for the PRO version.. I too purchased the DIY version first, then I wanted to run those big sea flow blowers but needed the pro version to do that, I ended up buying the pro .. But now thanks to the Simtools developers, they give me a few to give away!
Simtools pro. Hello from sunny South Africa i have Been following your videos since when you tried building you rig with wiper motors. I'm now building my own out of aluminum profile. Hoping to win the pro license. All the best everyone
'Simtools Pro' Thanks for all the videos. Currently working on converting my budget sim with 1dof that works with a switch on the gas and brake to simulate g force surge to add a 2dof seat mover with some budget wipers and convert the current mechanical switch setup to be controlled by simtools with the 2 new motors for the seat mover for a more realistic effect.
que bien, llegue un poco tarde para participar pero sigo tus videos para poder contruir mi proyecto enfocado en assetto corsa y dcs, este es el canal mas completo que he visto, gracias por compartir
Translation : Well, I'm a little late to participate but I follow your videos to be able to build my project focused on assetto corsa and dcs, this is the most complete channel I have seen, thanks for sharing Well It's never too late.. I have only been running Assetto Corsa for the last 3 years so the channel is focused on that! Bueno, nunca es demasiado tarde. Solo he dirigido Assetto Corsa durante los últimos 3 años, ¡así que el canal se centra en eso!
Oh man... I did end up modifying it.. sent a photo.. it's awesome now! wheelbase is the same.. just easy peezy to get in and out just like my other rig Thanks for taking a look JURacing~!
How did you attached these Hall Effect Potentiometers? The link sends me to non contact potentiometers, but didnt you use some rubber tube to turn yours?
Good question.. Yes they a non contact hall effect sensors. Which is ideal because You dong need to worry about physical limitations.. You still get the 180 degrees of sensing just like a wire wound but they are bettter and no EMI issues. Yes the rubber tubing attaches between the motor shaft and the hall effect pot (sensor).. works pretty good for me.
Simtools pro Really inspiring Dave, keep it up. I really like the idea of building my own rig with 2dof or 3dof but I would go with aluminum profile something like 8020 or 6030 soit would be easier to build, modify, and adjust without welding.
Your in the drawing my friend! Yeah I dont have any profile, but maybe will try some out this year.. Your probably right about the adjustability on the fly.
SIMTOOLS PRO. Since I don't have easy access to metal rods, tubes and welding tools, I'm building my rig in wood. My main objective is to make a 2 DOF with some metal reinforcements on the wood where the moving parts will connect. Happy to see the evolution of your rig, it will look great with that black finishing.
@@oliverf944 I know his work 😊, I'm following a French youtuber, ruclips.net/video/O2g8hKE8Zvk/видео.html, he created downloadable plans, but yes, mikey job is fantastic, he moved on from wood to aluminium. Can you share the motors that you used?
@@lpinho77 I think I’ve seen the French channel before too. I wish there was a simple way to post photos here of mine. The motor I choose are Toyota Prius power steering. They’re 12v and must be around 600w based of there fuse size. They’re cheap from local wrecker and are fitted with universal joints that you can use on seat base. Also double shaft so easy to mount potentiometer. Regarding potentiometer check out as5600 chip. It’s degree programable rotation hall with 0-5v analog out function. They’re 2$ on aliexpress. Look much easier to install than traditional pot. I e ordered a bunch to try
Ok.. I got it from amazon.. but both SUmmit racing and Jegs have them.. www.amazon.com/JEGS-Black-Polyethylene-Degree-32-250/dp/B078WHSVMG/ref=sr_1_4?crid=37HWDPO2YXUEO&keywords=jegs+high+back+racing+seat&qid=1672533503&sprefix=jegs+high+back+racing+seat%2Caps%2C124&sr=8-4&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.18630bbb-fcbb-42f8-9767-857e17e03685
SIMTOOLS PRO I'm thinking of designing a steering wheel to my liking and slowly building from that as I don't have a lot of money to spend on it, but hopefully in time I can get a good simracing setup.
Very cool -Gesp- your in the drawing! That's a good project, the steering wheel project.. I wish I had time to do all these things too but I still work.. so maybe an hour or so a week is all I get..
Simtools Pro I am currently building my own simulator from scratch, I have designed my own steering wheel, pedals and h shifter and printed them using 3D printer. At the moment I am upgrading it, to be stronger and to give better feedback while driving. I would love to someday build 3dof rig and that is why I really appreciate your work for us and I would want to get acces to this software so I could achieve this dream
Well YOU my friend, are IN the drawing - good luck! I really want to concentrate on the basics of motion for now, but really want to try and build my own pedal set etc.. I'll keep posting stuff for the community.. Not planning on going anywhere anytime soon.. Dave
Simtools pro Im hoping to start my sim rig this semester as I bummed a seat off one of my professors car lol. He said he was about to junk it so I was able to get my hands on the passenger side seat. One of my friends works on tearing down AC units so if possible I’m gonna use those sim e he said he can grab me some. The rig will be made with 8020 as I see the prices are going down a little and I would like to keep the rig for life which is made easy with the 8020s
Nicholas, Your in the drawing! That will be pretty cool to use some of that light weight aluminum.. I have plans to try it during 2023 if I get a chance too!
Sounds awesome thanks for letting me be apart of the drawing. As for the 8020 I’m hoping to buy from TNUTZ. I’m sure you’ve seen them if you’ve done even a little bit of research but currently they have the aluminum to build it the cheapest. Just incase you needed a pointer like I did
Simtools Pro Force cooling a weld is generally a bad idea, especially using water, as it can lead to stress cracking and failure. Probably not a concern in this application, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Well Dan, Your in the drawing! Yeah probably right about that. but I figured I would dissipate the heat and save the nylon gear. Each motor took about 10 min to make the tack welds. Just wish they were metal internals but they are not.. Should not have any issues now with the lever becoming disconnected with the motor shaft anyway. 🙂
Hi, d max, some questions. How did you determine the horizontal angle of the engine, is it parallel to any structure of the rig? Why did you had to flip the motor, just because of the motor shaft? Why was this necessary?
The horizonal angle is parallel with the frame, but it really doesn't matter, it just looks better to me to have them symmetrical. Also with flipping the motor shaft around on the right side, I did that so that I had a larger area to weld the lever arm on which would be facing outwards. It's not necessary, as I did not do that on my other rig, but it makes things a bit nicer and easier to put together. Those were excellent questions my friend!
Sim tools Pro would save me from having to build a 10dof wife simulator because i just bought the $800 Next Level simulator and she told me if i start building a motion rig and spend another dime on this stuff i will need a full motion wife simulator. Which saying it out loud sounds kind of brilliant actually. Anyway i hope i win a license im gonna chop up my Next level and use that as a starting point like you did on your first one
Simtools pro. I’m getting motion sickness in my rig in vr. I wonder if it’s because I’m missing the 3rd drift axis? Also how much slack do the grab pot motors have in the lever arm? I’m using Prius motors and the gear slake equates to about 5mm at the lever end.
Your in the drawing Oliver F. Thinking about your comment here, no it's not because of the TL or 3rd axis. What VR setup are you using? I have the CV1 oculus rift which uses outside in cameras.. I suggest searching x-simulator.net for some assistance with the VR. When the motors are being driven, *when power is on* I dont see any slack in the crab pot motors. however, when they are not powered on, they can be back driven (i.e moved - they do not hold position).
@@DMAX_DIY I tried minimising dead zone which didn’t help. Powered on I’ve got float. Must be in the worm gear of my motors. Although i don’t notice in action I would prefer it to be tight. Regarding motion sickness, I’m using vive pro with tracker and openvr compensation. I may have resolved it. Last night I’ve moved the tracker to a location closer to pivot location and adjusted driver position in the software. Setting location 200mm below my eye level and for what ever reason my brain is accepting it.
@@oliverf944 I've been considering updating my VR headset bc mine is pretty old and I'm sure new and better tech has come out in the past 10 years however, I too am concerned about the tracking. I'm glad you have at least found a solution to it. I may have been lucky with the outside in tracking the CV1 had to begin with as I never had any issues, but still wonder how much better the resolution etc could be. As far as the motors go, I read through hours of forums on x-sim before selecting the crab pot motors. The only time they seem to have slack is when they are not powered or not receiving a signal from the game.
Hi Dave..need your advise..did u encounter the motor turn off during hard movement (excident)? Mine always turn off and i need to open the smc3 utility to make the motor restart again.. Here is my items i used : -24v 250watt 13amp wheelchair motor -bts7960 -24v 600watt 25amp power supply - simtools v3 diy licences
It may depend on where your set your clip limits but I'm not sure.. My motors never seem to 'shut off' unless I exceed the max limits.. also there is a bit of physical load which you have to account for that may push the motor beyond the clip limits (ie weight and momentum).. other than that, Maybe the power supply is clipping out? 600 watts seems like enough.. IDK .. let me know at what point it 'shuts off'.. Dave
@@DMAX_DIY thanks Dave! Yes before this i suspect power supply bcause the power led keep blinking after the motor shut off..before this i use 15amp 350 watt pwer supply..now i upgrade and the new power supply seems ok and no more blinking after motor shut off..i suspect the clip limit and maybe try to adjust this first later..and after this i want to try connect the volt and ampere meter to see how many amps/volt it pull when the motor shut off..
RUclips algorithm must hate you 😂 every time I get out of one video it shows the video after. For example this is 8 but suggested videos is showing me 10
I'm sure it doesnt like me.. I will talk to my son.. he can figure it out.. I'm just posting stuff.. not seriously trying to give the AL what it needs.. I'm still working 50 hrs per week at my regular job.. But 2 more years.. and then who knows.. Thanks for watching! btw.. a couple new videos out.. ruclips.net/video/UXS45Z2GHMk/видео.html Dave
isnt there a very cheap method of welding this type of stuff? i dont wanna buy a welder for a single project especially if trying to do this in a way were it costs as little as possible because honestly cant afford a new pc and motion sim. so im going with build a pc as cheap as possible but needs to be able to do VR and have enough usb controllers to allow for everything to be connected including vr the thing is .. im noticing is theres a specific amount of movement that feels real. and then after that its really truly not needed and doesnt really add to the immersion... would it be cheap to just do the first part of this with skate board wheels ? looks like that part would be chea-pest and the most useful info for racing atleast.
Well, you could build a seatmover from wood. that would be pretty inexpensive and you would get similar initial effects.. I'm not selling anything, I'm just showing people how they can make this type of design. Maybe I will do a wood buildup this year as I see from the forums on x-simulator.net that there are people interested, In fact one of my subscribers is making one right now.
Im developing a 3dof motion sim as my final school project and i really need ' simtools pro ' and coins aswell to download assetto corsa plugin. Even if i don't win, if someone can give me access to the plugin or give me the coins to download it i would appreaciate.
SIMTOOLS PRO: I've been watching for a while. At first just seeing what it actually takes to get a basic rig going. Then after seeing how you put it so simply I knew I needed to do this too... eventually. After using a trusty G29 clamped to the desk for a few years eventually became Soon Finally got my toes wet with a micro pro clone, a 298 H bridge, and two 12V vibe motors for my pedals... For under $30! Then added a $15 bar-style load cell to the same board by modifying the SimHub pedal motor code. Fun when things work, eh? Haha! So yea! A motion rig is on deck thanks to how practical you keep things. "Look, this controls those, and that tells them where it is at all times. And don't put your finger in there!" lol, I didn't even know what an H-bridge was four months ago man, thanks srsly. Metal is gathered and parts are in mind and it sure would be nice to save another $70, heh heh. Cheers all, Happy New Year! (Say hi to the Blue Jays for me. Someone is leaving out peanuts, lol. Love that shirt too.)
SIMTOOLS PRO DEAR Friend, I have been following you for a long time and I get many ideas from your videos, about the construction of my future project, I would like to build a 3 doft I published my progress in Xsimulator, my user is Amilivian, I am a bit stuck right now, with the project but I am going to resume it in a few weeks when I will be on vacation; It is really very difficult for me to buy the license, I watch your videos using a translator since I am from Argentina. I hope one day I can finish my simulator, I send you an affectionate hug and keep making more videos, you really don't know how much you help the community!

What a comment! Thanks so much! Yeah.. They hear me talking and they think they have to 'get involved'.. sheesh!

LOL....
Thanks for the great comments Jeffrey! Your in the drawing. hahah.. ""but I watch a few videos.. " yep me too

@@DMAX_DIY Yes SIR, so would you still recommend the crab pot motor from Canada? Thanks for all you do for us! Happy New Year.

Hey Dave!

Thanks for the update Dave. This one came just in time as I was about to weld those motors and that tip to switch the motor around is awesome. Mine follows your plans mostly with a few tweaks for my own customization. Made some rear stablizer arms this week and will post an update on xsimulator maybe tomorrow.

Hey Dmax, still working on my rig that I commented on in the 1st or second video here, (kids make it tough to find time to work on it...) Love the channel and glad to see you making progress.

My rig is currently inop.
Although I still seem to 'spend' a bit.. haha.. Dave

Great Comment my friend! Yeah.. if you spread it out over a few months you can afford to make it .. Thanks for posting this Dave, have definitely been waiting for your latest installment. My rig is loosely based on your first rig. It's quite a bit longer to mimic an F1 seating arrangement which may end up making it too heavy, but hey I'll learn something and have plenty of metal to rearrange for v2 🙂.

I hope the wheelbase is not too close to the seat. Otherwise it's looking really great. Promise not to cut off anything off the wheelbase

Really inspiring Dave, keep it up.

Im hoping to start my sim rig this semester as I bummed a seat off one of my professors car lol. He said he was about to junk it so I was able to get my hands on the passenger side seat. Force cooling a weld is generally a bad idea, especially using water, as it can lead to stress cracking and failure.
@@DMAX_DIY Thanks for your replies, cannot wait for the final steps 😊
Sim tools Pro would save me from having to build a 10dof wife simulator because i just bought the $800 Next Level simulator and she told me if i start building a motion rig and spend another dime on this stuff i will need a full motion wife simulator. Which saying it out loud sounds kind of brilliant actually. Anyway i hope i win a license im gonna chop up my Next level and use that as a starting point like you did on your first one
HOpe you win! Your in the drawing Robert! 10DOF wife sim.. hahah.. yeah.. that's 'classic'.. Good luck

@@DMAX_DIY there’s an abundance of good headsets available now. The next ps5 headset looks very promising if it can be used on pc

Hi Dave..need your advise..did u encounter the motor turn off during hard movement (excident)? Mine always turn off and i need to open the
smc3 utility to make the motor restart again..
Here is my items i used :
-24v 250watt 13amp wheelchair motor
-bts7960
-24v 600watt 25amp power supply
- simtools v3 diy licences

I have just began with the electronics .After that i will build somthing like your compact design.
how mutch torque/hp does the motor have?
and woud some thing like this hold on like a fat dude around 140 kg
isnt there a very cheap method of welding this type of stuff? i dont wanna buy a welder for a single project especially if trying to do this in a way were it costs as little as possible because honestly cant afford a new pc and motion sim. so im going with build a pc as cheap as possible but needs to be able to do VR and have enough usb controllers to allow for everything to be connected including vr the thing is .. im noticing is theres a specific amount of movement that feels real. and then after that its really truly not needed and doesnt really add to the immersion... would it be cheap to just do the first part of this with skate board wheels ? looks like that part would be chea-pest and the most useful info for racing atleast.
