A funny thought, Tal'Set gets some pretty good character development. In this game, he has weak calves and takes tons of fall damage. Turok 1, which takes place at a later point, he is jumping off cliffs and landing without damage like a champ.
Hi NastBlast, so I've played this game as a child, but there's one thing about the shotgun that I don't think I've seen you use. If you equip the shotgun and press the reload button, you can keep loading shells into the chamber until at a certain point you cannot anymore. Once you fire, you blast like 10 shells onto an enemy, completely DECIMATING them. When watching I was like damn, my boy ain't using the feature! Great video though, just wanted to point this out before going to Part 2 :)
FUN FACT: The game's story was cut down by A LOT just to have it released in a tight deadline. The many plot points includes context about why you had to rescue the old man in the fortress, Djunn (the bald bloke in Chapter 5) was more involved, the final boss that was going to drag on for 2 more levels, and a few whole chapters that was cut, including one where you ride on a raptor. One guy managed to extract the sounds from an old beta version of the game, just to reveal what was going to be the full game. The 2-hour epic of dialogue: ruclips.net/video/PDzzwjJ72KQ/видео.html
Man I got Turok *because* of my love for dinosaurs. Same reason I got Dino Crisis. Literally I saw Dinosaurs, I wanted it. To varying results. Though ultimately lighter on actual dino stuff than I was expecting, I still enjoyed it as a tough as nails FPS with amazing weapon variety. Definitely was too young to be playing such things but if I could survive an R-rated movie, I could survive a rated M game. Thanks for indulging my tism, mom! This game was definitely still damn near impossible with infinite ammo and All Weapons cheats. No internet, just word of mouth from a friend, so, no level skip or invincibility but, imagine that! Just barely toeing the line between frustration and exhilarating challenge. Always felt badass when I finally beat a particularly tough level. The city siege was great, though I think either my game or my Xbox controllers were dysfunctional so, that's probably around where I left off. Totally would love to get another crack at this, though, I would totally skip the flying levels. No nostalgia for those, not one bit!
Bro Thanks for this video , So much nostalgia with my little bro when he was 6 and I was 10. This game was so lit. Honestly it was so fun we only played multiplayer. I got past chapter 3 and that was it. Then I started skating ha. But dang bro. Appreciate you bless up. 🙏❤️
Our guy isn’t using the left and right banking controls for tighter turns when flying. The flying is unforgiving, but not all that hard once you know a few tricks. The terrorsaur climbs slow and dives fast. Cruise high while looking for your objectives, and this also gives you room to dive to dodge since diving is what makes you go faster. Hidden in each… or most? I forget- flying sections is a very temporary timed machine gun upgrade that makes clearing enemies with high health way less of a chore. It’s not a good game. It can be a lot of fun.
This was the first Turok game I owned but I had beaten 3 before that plus played some of the first game and Rage Wars. I like Evolution but I'm still upset we never got a proper Turok 4 because the ending of 3 screams they had a plan for a sequel to me. Edit: I never have figured out if the Turok series is set in an alternate universe or it was just written by people too lazy to do any research because in our history the US Civil War ended and the Confederate military ceased existing more then twenty years before the opening cutscene took place.
They took your pistol in chapter 4 yet they took my rocket launcher in chapter 4😂 I accidentally selected the normal difficulty. Some sections feel soul like

Turok Evolution is unfinished. A rushed development. I like the older Turoks more. Turok 3 hast very much variety of Enemies. In Evolution you fight 99,9% Slegs.😂

Long term booking 😂
This was a dope interview. Subbed.
You should make longform content. I couldn't get enough.

Yeah I didn't know about that for the majority of the game but I think around the end I found out about it, thanks for the tip tho
Just downloaded this for nostalgia sake and definitely followed was you were entertaining af
I loved the enemy design and that final boss gave me nightmares as a kid from those elephant noises
You boys need to play the first two games.
I still remember FMNFB by heart from when I was a kid. It’s the cheat code that unlocks every cheat

Did you know on the flying level theres buttons to speed up and slow down?
I had more fun killing dinosaurs than slegs.

It’s not a good game. It can be a lot of fun.
I was so happy when this turok allowed to disable inverted controls. Tried playing the N64 one and it bugs me
were you emulating the PS2 version? you might wanna try the Gamecube one through Dolphin with a HD texture pack and mouse injector :)
I played it all the way through. No cheats. My favorite video game of all time by far.
I love this game. I would pay for a remaster

in the lost lands time has no meaning
the cover dino is a raptor not a t rex
This was my first turok game and I loved it but it took me forever to beat as a kid
I love this game and I’ll die on that hill 😂
There was gba version as well

"i had no idea if it was taking damage at all" *literally shows the airship smoking and on fire*

I think its about as good as turok 2. Turok 1 is still the best. gameplay wise
I'd say Turok 2 easily wins gameplay wise.
That crappy game full of glitches and cheating is a perfect example as to why Acclaim Studios got flushed down the toilet!
