These are literally the world's most underrated speakers ever!! You guys need to be more recognized!! I'd love to buy a pack of 7 with the wireless subwoofer :) one question though, does it have an auxiliary 3.5mm jack input?
That's a nice item, but for clarification, we are the first wireless sub... It is my understanding that the Minirig uses a 3.5mm cable to connect to the speakers.
Did you test latency in a wired connection? The DSP path on these speakers often creates lag which makes them unsuitable for DJ'ing. The minirig is one of the few that has solved this.
I'll be super excited for the arrival of my 4 Rocksteady Stadium and Subwoofer combo so I can dance to some good deephouse, funk, break beats, rock top, and Northern Soul music again. Let's get grooving.
The main advantage of distrubuted audio is it can drastically cut reflections. In most indoor environments, there are 1000's of reflections of reflections arriving at your ear at different times, and that's why the sound is typically so terrible. Distributed audio allows you to hear a much greater proportion of direct, unreflected sound. But installing hard wired distributed systems is labor intensive. So the main advantage of this system is actually ease of installation. What it can't really do, is miraculously get big bass out of a small speaker. It may get very impressive bass, but a 5 inch woofer can only move so much air. Same goes for the 2.5 inch or 3 inch mid bass drivers in the speakers. There's a physical limitation that no amount of engineering can overcome.
When is the subwoofer coming out? I’m Looking to buy speakers with sub. We just bought our new home and have added a pool and bbq island. I need this to complete my backyard!!!!!
@@JeffLeitman hey Jeff, you mentioned having a -3db rating and an SPL rating for rhis subwoofer "in about a week" here...are you able to note those numbers yet? i know you guys are working under all kinds of duress, and since i think i missed the Kickstarter (the buttons dont work) i pre-ordered a pair of subs on the website. still, very curious to know what testing results produce!
This is definitely NOT even remotely close to the "first portable subwoofer"... I had a portable battery operated 2.1 system in the early 2000s and that wasn't exactly the first either.

@@JeffLeitman the Minirig sub does indeed require 3.5mm connection, but the Diamomdboxx sub is both wired and wireless.

Yes it does. It is a removable handle

Subwoofer: 100Hz, 65.7dB

Aiwa Exos 9 kills it. Minirig 3 2.2 kills it. Sorry, and I’m not even much of a killer. Bass is just not all there is.
