Holy shit he did a great job. Those old david songs are not easy to sing.
I feel the opening of barytones as David way llet more space and flexibily and agression than Mike, who is a great singer.
Its like Neil Turbin and Belladona.
Belladona is great but Turbin has more extreme in jump and a cery mean agression that Belladona doesn't quite have.

mike's voice has not aged a day
it's kind of the John Arch type situation- they went back to being "civilians" for years, so there wasn't the wear and tear on their voice, now they're back at 50 + years old and kicking ass like not a day has passed! I think it's awesome actually, even if we don't know what would've happened if they had stayed on board.
Love Mike but Arch sounds just as good as he did 35 years ago
Mike Howe sounds better today than in the 90's. Unfortunately David Wayne is not with us. At least we still have The Church.

Saw Metal Church open for Anthrax and King Diamond by far David Wayne was the most powerful vocalist I’ve ever seen.

The lines after "Out of the crypt with faces marred" are hard to understand. I assume he says, "We unite as one" for the next line, but I have NO idea what the line after that could be. No lyrics website has this correct from what I've seen, but they also usually just copy lyrics from one site to the next anyway, even when they're wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think so. Mike's vox are high af but David's, at least on the original, were high and low, very operatic, I'm not ripping on Mike at all, he is sorely missed. Both amazing singers.
