I personally knew David. I even rented practice space to Reverend. After I split up with my ex, David and I dated for a short time. His memorial website has photos I took of him. I saw MC in Seattle with Ronnie singing...it made me cry. Ronnie does a great job.
Suzanne Marie , A 5 year old comment like that and nobody says nothing. Well I will. Your story makes me cry. Metal Church is my favorite band ever. I saw them perform in 1985 with David Wayne. In a small bar on Long Island called Sundance. It was the best metal show I ever saw. Then and still today! Hands down. I got to shake David's hand while he sang Gods of Wrath. I'll never forget that night in 85! Btw, I WILL check out those pictures. Definitely! And yeah, Ronnie is awesome. But it's Kurdt's band. Why he ever parted ways with David and the 1st drummer Kurt Arrington is beyond me! But i still respect Kurdt Vanderhoof and Metal Church for keeping the band alive. We all miss David Wayne. I feel your pain. Even tho I didn't know him personally like you did.
I saw MC in Boston in 85 or 86, I was about 4 feet from David, awesome show, I still have the tshirt and the original album. I just saw MC last Saturday in New Bedford, MA. Lots of great stuff from that band.
I saw them with David Wayne who was awesome and Ronnie does him such justice. He’s the only Metal singer who’s performing can make me cry cause it’s just that damn good.
The true fourth member of the Big Four, they earn it on album pedigree as first one was released in 1984 and unlike Joey of Anthrax, all Church singers could sing
Growing up with a father who was raised on big band swing music and gave me my first drum lessons, Kirk was always one of my favorite & influential drummers in how he could drive such fast and heavy songs with steady straight tempo on the hi-hat (or ride) while swinging the bass, snare, and accents just tastefully ever so slightly off that driving tempo beat!
I was just telling my sons about him! Dude had that beat, technic, everything! His playing on the first album “metal church” is insane, the start of “my favorite” nightmare is on fire!
People don't even know the vocal chords and strength it takes to sing at that level!!! Fuckin awesome 🤘🤘🤘🤘😎😎😎🔥🔥🔥🔥 Great job guys!!! Love Metal Church!!!
That feeling of freedom, pure happiness and high on endorphins (along with a couple beers) in the front rows of your favourite bands playing is THE best feeling in the world.. hail metal 🤘🏻🕶️

I agree, this band gives 200% every time they hit the stage!! This was in my opinion the best live performance by Metal Church ive ever heard!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

1986 Paradise in Boston Ma. Antrhax and Metal Church David Wayne blew the doors off the place with this song. This guy does a good job though, I would go see them.
I was introduced to the band through a late friend back in the early 90's, at the time i couldn't understand what and how i missed these guys. Essential records to own for any metal head!
@motleydrue666 "Twang" vocal mode. This particular singer trained under the same person that trained Geoff Tate, Ann Wilson, Layne Staley, and Chris Cornell.
I dont know what he is like personally but his vocals are amazing. I liked David Wayne's(R.I.P.) vocals better, of course, but Ronny's voice fit for the time. ¡Salud!
When I was a little kid about 7 years old about 1980 my sister took me to a house in Everett Washington and hung out with one of guitarists and had a gold les paul,, nice guy
That is Kirk Arrington on the drums? It looks like him. And sounds exactly like him. But i thought Kurt Vanderhoof parted ways with him after Blessing In Disguise?
@@freddyferrillo9704 Kirk Arrington played on a few more albums after Blessing. He was on The Human Factor, Hanging in the Balance, Masterpeace and The Weight of the World; the latter being his last studio album with Metal Church. I always loved Duke Erickson on bass. He was a beast on those strings. Long live Metal Church. They gave us a lifetime of metal. Not sure if Kurdt will carry on now. Kurdt was ready to call it quits if he couldn’t get Mike back. This may be the end of MC, sadly. Rest easy Mike Howe. Thanks for your talent! Hope him and David Wayne are harmonizing in Heaven.
Never gets old , I probably listen to this once a week. Just because they are the real deal.
I Support Metal Church..100%
No band can be metaller than Metal Church! Criminally underrated!
Yessir
I couldn't agree more!! Fuckin awesome band!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I love European concerts . They really are the ones who kept many of these bands alive by their rabid loyalty and appreciation.
European FANS are the best.
I wonder why the US cannot support like European people can?

Them and flotsam and jetsam too.
AMEN my friend!
The true fourth member of the Big Four, they earn it on album pedigree as first one was released in 1984 and unlike Joey of Anthrax, all Church singers could sing
Their debut album imo is one of the best metal albums ever made
Definitely one of the most underrated bands of that era and definitely over shadowed by Metallica who were on the same label at the time
The kid in the Iced Earth shirt is what every metalhead should aspire to be.
@2:28 showing true faith
Yeah pisses me off when I see people's arms crossed at a metal show
Fuck yah bro!

Great performance showing the late Kirk Arrington on drums. RIP Kirk you were one of the best.

INDEED!!!
The crowd,the atmosphere,and the music,is more like '85 than '05.
Just the stage that looks to modern for classic metal, the bass player has a great groove and he knows how to move!
Or 95
That's cuz they are 20 years behind us entertainment wise from hearsays of what is the cream of the crop
