As a Scandinavian I once got into the bed sheet discussion with some American friends, and I was so surprised to learn that most only have one set of bedding! I have four on rotation depending on the season, and I can't imagine having to wash the sheets and put them back on the same day, sounds stressful 😂❤
I wonder if it due to Americans more commonly having dryers? I live in the uk and my family haven’t had a dryer in over a decade (and when we did it was a combo washer/dryer) so there is no chance of getting bedding dry in one day.
I’m American and have never heard of having only one set of bedding. That’s kinda questionable 🥲 like what if you spill something?
We have like… 5 sets of sheet per bed. You never know when kids will get sick and being able to put on clean sheets quickly can save the night

I only ever had one set of sheets and never thought anything about it. Then I watched an influencer who confessed that she had several sheet sets and how much she enjoyed the different patterns and colours. OMG... I'm never going back. I hopped into Wayfair and scored a sale. I got 3 sets of sheets and 3 duvet covers. All different colours but they can be mixed and matched. I now absolutely love swapping out my bedding. The room looks different with each colour choice and it completely eliminates that stress of having to get everything washed, dried and put back on the bed before I can crawl in. Try it. You will wonder how you never tried it before.

I have a few sets of sheets. I just like the different colors and patterns. If you have more sheets they don’t wear out as fast if you change off all the time.
With a kid on the way, two sheet sets is the way to go! There have been many times I have needed a quick change of sheets from an accident bc of a kid on our bed. Too stressful with just one set 🤪

I love that yellow sweatshirt. I'm wondering where you got that. I have about 10 sheet sets for myself (some nice, some from Target) but I send out my laundry every week (sheets, towels, clothes; not my unmentionables though). Costs about $35 per week where I live for a large bag of laundry (about 18 lbs.) When you have your baby you might seriously think about sending some of your laundry out. It makes a huge difference. It comes back folded and clean and you just put it away.

I’m in a rental and do not have an in suite washer/dryer. As a result , I need to have extra clean linen. 2 sets of summer, 2 sets of winter per bed. Love linen so I gave even more than that:)

To comment about your sheet question. I do what you do and wash and the immediately after washing and drying out the sheets back in and inlet my mattress and pillows just chill out. However when my son was a newborn I had two extra sets because life with a newborn is a little hectic and I am very scheduled so it was easier for me to just put a clean set on right away. Also a small tip and I’m it sure if you do it.. fold the fitted sheet and the pillow cases and then fold the flat sheet, place the fitted sheet and cases in the flat sheet and the fold the flat sheet over the fitted and cases. Makes a nice little fold and stays organized 😊 so excited for your baby boy ! You will love motherhood! It’s the biggest and greatest blessing God has given my husband and me! I have probably 6 plus sets of sheets cos I don’t have a dryer so bedding can take a a good few days to dry particularly in winter. I have some flannel duvet cover for winter and cotton for summer all with different patterns. My bottom sheets and base pillows are all plain colors and I don’t care to much about making sure the sheets match the duvet cover (in the uk it is normal to sleep without a flat sheet).

I am due around the same time as you, and have been getting a consistent recommendation to have multiple sets of sheets clean and ready for our bed because the postpartum night sweating is so extreme. Thought I would share in case that was something you hadn't considered yet

About bedsheets. I have one, wash the same day, but switch up when I want different color for the season😊
Tip about pizza! You might not be doing anything wrong. I saw in the video the fire was too much. You need the heat but not open flame, it will bake the pizza more evenly and without burned bottom and floppy top. Experiment with burning time before you put the pizza in the oven. It takes some practice 🎉❤
I keep two sets of sheets coz I feel like it makes my life easier.
I have two Littles and a third on the way. And I just feel like if I get it all done at the same time-like take the old ones off and put the new ones on right away, I’m less likely to feel unmotivated to put the freshly washed ones on that afternoon. Or if we’re like out and about and stuff sometimes I forget until it’s late in the evening and then we have to stay up later to wait for them to finish drying. So for me personally, it’s just a lot easier to have the second pair, and then I can swap between the two :-)
The pizza oven definitely has a learning curve. We’ve been learning how to do the pizza oven since Christmas and everytime we do it, we learn something new.

i DEFINITELY recommend getting a second set of sheets before baby arrives, just to give yourself the option because a load of laundry has definitely taken me multiple days to get through on more than one occasion with a little one in tow!!
We live in a very tiny home, so we just was our one set of linens then remake the bed. I would however like to have one summer set and one winter set sometime in the future. Quality over quantity ☺️

Two sets for non-holiday, one-set fall, one-Christmas.
I have two sets of sheets….it became very useful once I had kids. I spent a lot of time cuddling with my kids in my bed, and they make messes. Especially when they are sick. And it is nice with little ones to have something to put on right away. I also bought a waterproof mattress protector for my bed. High recommend. 😊 Thanks, as always, for your dreamy and beautiful videos. Blessings for your little family. ❤
14:53 I honestly have 3 and I rotate mine every 10 days since there’s usually 30 days in a month on average. I have to change my sheets often and I like to switch colors and themes.

For the sheets questions, I have two sets of sheets so I can use one while I'm washing the other. Makes life a lot easier and you may want this for yourself especially when your little one arrives. I have 4 sets of sheets (my MIL gives them as gifts), but I like it bc my dryer takes too long to dry and honestly, takes me like 7-10 business days to fold anything with 2 littles lol
Hey Allison! I definitely recommend having an extra set of sheets when the baby arrives. Newborns definitely love to surprise you with spit up and explosions at the most inopportune moments 😅 Trust me, you'll want those extras so you can spend more time snuggling your little one ☺️

I have at least 2 sets of sheets and just switch them out so if I don’t end up washing them and getting them dry in the same day it doesn’t matter. Plus I love having seasonal bedding to switch out xx
You are adorable! I used to have one set, but switched to two sets recently and this way when we have someone staying to watch our furbaby they can stay in our room and I can quickly change to fresh ones before we have to leave! :)

For a while we only had 1 and it was fine but getting the 2nd set has been sooo nice! I never have the issue of realizing the sheets aren’t dry when it’s time for bed anymore haha

A rule I use is wash one, put on one and store one = 3 sets of linens per bed. The store one is a plan B or emergency set.
