the season where Fiona fell apart it really hit home shes that type of strong person who always knows the solution to everything everyone relies on her but when she really fell apart she genuinely didn’t know what to do with herself and that’s the worst feeling in the world.
It’s alson the darkest and best season….season 4…..the scene where Sami brings the bar to Frank at her house when his leg is broken and he’s dying and Kermit and Kenny and Steve are there and even tho it’s non alcoholic u see Frank break into tears it’s the same episode Fiona reals parole with the loser brother
fiona was the most mom figure those kids had. she messed up a lot of times, she wasn’t perfect even though none of them were. she did the best she could, she’s the reason they’re where they are right now. i’m glad she got the guts to leave and focus on herself for once. the show is definitely not the same without her. she deserved better.
Fiona did the best she could given the situation she was put in at a very young age n did a damn good job were mistakes made absolutely but we all make them parenting we are human its about living n learning
I hate how everyone in the show forgot about Fiona, I also hate how all the fans of Shameless, hated on Fiona so much. She devoted so many years of her childhood and her life to those kids. And she could no longer handle it. She broke down, they all blamed her. Yet they still held compassion for Frank and Monica, their real parents; not the nine-year-old girl, who was just abandoned by her parents with 4 kids, later on, 5. Her parents let her down so much, she never did anything to deserve them, none of those kids did. No matter what Monica did, the children never hated her. Nor did they hate their dad. Yet they sure seemed to hate Fiona when she had had enough bullshit from life and hit rock bottom. Quite frankly, we watched all of those kids each at their worst, and who was there to support them? Fiona. So why they can't feel obliged to do the same for her is beyond me. Lip especially, all he did was scream at her in seasons 5, 6,7,8, and especially nine. So, why did they ever see Fiona in the wrong after Ford ruined her?
I don't know how you were raised, but I was raised in a family similar to this, if not worse because we were actually intentionally beaten and neglected daily, and what I can say is a lot of the time the anger you were supposed to hold towards your parents you direct elsewhere because you know your anger towards your parents, will never matter, cause they're too drunk/high to care. So it builds up and you place it in other places until you heal from it.
Fiona was my favorite character on the show, and I was sad when she was written out. I feel like she made the show. And I loved her different arcs throughout the show.
Fiona deserved a better life. I like to think after she left she found something better. I’d love to see a spin-off following her life after leaving the South Side
Literally the first video I ever cried to seeing that she took care of her siblings that were just messing up there lives and her lives to when she should have been having a happy time as an adult and there parents doing nothing she basically was her siblings parents
Fiona did everything she fucking could taking care of both parents n all the kids plus try to keep herself in line n it's so hard!!!! Shes a miracle to me!!

I only have one older brother who normally I see once a year (I haven't seen him since the Pandemic though) My parent's marriage has always been rocky and I feel like I am the Fiona, just trying to get by, hold my parents together as my Dad's health declines and be the "good girl" and never have any problems.... **Edit as of 10.12.21-- Thanks for 35+ likes

She was literally 21 when the series started, and the mom was already gone for a while so take in how long she has really been taking care of the kids and from what age, Now this is a powerful women
Fiona never got a break till she finally left ngl I would of turned out just like her in season 9 maybe even worse she was mentally and emotionally exhausted and she had little support when she was going through it all she deserved so much better
You deserve so much more love. You owe to yourself and your baby to leave. I know it's hard but I promise you leaving is worth it. You can do it, you are strong enough to do it. Plan an escape and go the second you can.

Never forget she was a little kid herself when she started looking after her siblings. She made her mistakes but it was never her burden to bare
