Thing is about Fiona she never really stops going down this emotional hole. Sure she succeeds every so often in regards to work and stuff but she’s just wounded and it just gets worse every season
It's hard when you are made to grow up before your time and made to care primarily for others. It becomes so ingrained in yourself to take care of others at the detriment of yourself. You do not see or cannot see where you are emotionally, because if you were to stop and evaluate yourself you.might fall.apart and when you have people counting on you it's not an option.
That's why she left though. She was trapped in this toxic cycle of pushing herself through and trying to take care of her family while going through periods of self destruction. Her leaving was her breaking the cycle and getting a fresh start. There's no guarantee that things will be perfect but she will be able to focus on herself as an independent adult instead of being a constant caretaker to those around her
Yup. She had the worst luck when she lived there with the family. Every time something good happened to her or a great opportunity came up, it would be going fine for her and then dramatically flip and turn bad. Yes, she did ruin some good things for herself but she made mistakes and I think she grew stronger from them and learned a lot before she left
@jack. She grew, and succeeded, while raising her siblings. She excelled. Sure she had her battle with addiction but she did deserve to live her life and in the end get sober. Everyone is wounded, it's what you make of it that counts. Fiona made that show. She's just a strong, independent, street smart woman in a sexist, male shovanistic world. Double standards. Because why are there so many ppl (men and women who love Frank) but think Fiona's trash? That's male shovanism and jealousy.
she prioritised her siblings so much. yes she made her mistakes but she grew up and cared for them before she was ready, when she was a YOUNG child. of course she has things to figure out later. beautiful edit, its always her storylines that make me sad
Her siblings need to appreciate that she dropped out of high school for them. That's a huge sacrifice. She wasn't even a senior in high school and she had to become a mom
when frank said "spend less time blaming her and more time thanking her" it's because he knows she did what he never could nor wanted to. she took up what he failed, and he owes her the world for that
she had balls definitely. she wasn't the most responsible but she learned. but mostly she was broken but those kids meant the world to her, they were her glue, and for her to leave them must have hurt but it was for the best. when she left it hurt for me because i couldn't fathom the thought of leaving everything i've ever known on my own terms and i've done it because i was forced to and i felt like hyperventilating for her, so many memories good or bad, the laughs the tears, it gave her something to remember, those experiences gave her lessons and taught her well, she gained character. she came from bad parenting, ungrateful kids who wouldn't understand, and a broke down neighborhood yet she raised those kids when she didn't have to. props to her. a mother, a father, a sister, a friend, a bad influence, a good influence, a broken mistreated woman but she did it all, she gave it all.
*spoiler alert* Was anyone else really hurt because she wasn’t at Ian’s wedding? Like I mean she raised him and supported him through everything, It just made no sense that she would miss it.
she did so much for those kids, and yet she is so unappreciated by them. yes she made mistakes but so does everyone, she raised them from when she was 9 YEARS OLD, yet they still get on her ass when she does something wrong. i wish she would come back in season 11 to get her happy ending, she truly deserves it.
i’ve always loved her. yeah the fandom made me want to hate her for some reason but? why?? all of them messed up yet when fiona messes up she can’t? she’s not allowed to? the coke thing was not entirely her fault and we all saw how hurt she was over it but her lip brought it up every chance he got
I think Lip got so angry at her because addiction ruined his life and his parents' lives. The cocaine incident triggered his learned response to be tough and push destructive people away, it boiled down to "drugs hurt sibling" in his mind with no concern for the context. Then when she spiraled in season 9 he wrote her off as a failure because in his mind, she was just like Frank, choosing addiction over everything else
Im tellin you it’s not his fault but if you see your brother almost die off of acute cocaine intoxication ur going to be upset bc it was careless. How can he not be upset ion like lips “bigger than life” demeanour but that’s wrong and hella irresponsible. No matter all you did for them it doesn’t matter she tried to make it seems like she gets a pass you don’t get a pass and it’s okay for doing stuff like that
thank you. it took me some years to find the right song. in fact i have watched all the Fiona videos out there on YT during editing mine. yours included. and that was a really great one ♥
i have goosebumps and im crying. this is beautiful. fiona is beautiful, a beautiful mess. she is amazing, and she rarely puts herself first. i hope she returns for season 11, because i know filming has been postponed due to coronavirus so honestly i havent heard much about whats going to happen.
Seems that her breakdown was right on time. She took everything for years all the disappointments and failures. Every time she wanted to cry and give up she never did. She knew she had to be strong and pull through. No one saw her cry. She supported each and everyone. She allowed them to grow into themselves and she knew when to guide them back into the correct path (I guess you can word it). In the last season she was with Frank a lot and part of me was like that's nice but the other part was scary because she was becoming Frank to an extent and he saw it when they're at the bar. He looked at her sadly. But she choose to walk away from that life and build her new life. She saw she wasn't needed anymore. The only sad thing is we didn't get to see her say goodbye to her baby Liam.
they never really appreciated her, she did everything for them and if she made a mistake she was a ‘terrible’ person. Of course she was going to make mistakes she didn’t have the time to make them as a kid because she was RAISING them.
this is _perfect_ she was such a brilliant character and it constantly frusturated me near the end that they didn't quite know what to do with her in a better way that fit her arc. this is so beautiful.
She really was the best and most captivating character on the show. the only one i ever found myself really getting behind. I'm sad that she left the show, but glad that the character got the fuck away from her family because they were bad for her.
@@breeannapalato2407 I actually thought the writers did the character wrong when the baby got into the coke and she went to prison for it. It wasn’t that Fiona wouldn’t do drugs, but she wouldn’t leave the crap laying around for the kids to get into. The kids are her entire existence, even in a really bad state of mind, Fiona wouldn’t mess up like that. If they wanted her to go to prison or something; they should have went another route.
Most powerful character out there! We loved her, hated her, but most of all understood what she was going through and we with her through every moment.
Fantastic tribute to a fantastic character. Emmy Rossum was really a fucking powerhouse in this show, I was so sad to see her go. But I am happy she got a good, hopeful ending. I hope wherever Fiona is, she's living a damn good life.
Ive been watching for a Long Time now and Im just like. So Happy Ian lets Fiona know that he acknowledges everything she's done. Most importantly he was the one that treated her like an actual sister and not just a make shift mom like .. this is why Ian is my favorite
Fiona did so much for all of them and they start to hate her and while they are hating her she still does everything she can for them. They can be really ungrateful sometimes but in other times they can help her out. Fiona is by far my favorite character
I cried when Frank told Lip to be thankful because it showed that through all the hell he made her endure throughout the show, he appreciated and recognized how much she's done for the family.
I swear she literally made this show feel more as a broken family with her than without her😩😭 I literally felt all her emotions 💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 such an amazing talented actress
This edit is just incredible, you perfectly captured Fiona's character development of 9 seasons in just 4 minutes. It's moving, the music fits perfectly, it's just incredible. Thank you for this tribute, thank you for sharing it with us.
well, I've shed a quiet tear. then another. and another. hell, maybe three more. I don't watch shameless but from what i've seen fiona always had this 'hits home' feeling in some sense to me. season it with the song i love so deeply it's almost hate? *magic* you did an excellent job here, i'm happy for her too :') PS. always glad to see an update from you, but even more glad when you take time for yourself to heal, muaw!
I've never seen Shameless but your character edits always cut so deep--I still think about your Vanessa Ives edit whenever I listen to "You're Somebody Else"! Wishing you the best!!
This is absolutely beautiful. I think this is one of the greatest tributes to Fiona Gallagher. The parallels from then & now was amazing. I miss her so much. Keep up the amazing work!
That was the shortest 4 minutes I’ve ever seen. This video should’ve been a half hour long. Emmy Rossum is one of many most underrated actresses out there. I grew up with the Gallagher family and she made it feel so real. One of my favorite shows ever ❤️
This video is everything... those little brats were nicer to f Monica, I mean the f is wrong with them. wtv, I almost cry with this video. Fiona's my favorite character and I felt so bad for her like the entire show tbh. She didn't get to have a childhood (a life actually) because she was raising her sibilings. She was their mom. But they only did wtv the f wanted and hated her for no reason (I remember wanting to punch Debbie because of the whole pregnancy shirt). When they (specially Lip) tried to make her feel guilty and bad because she wanted to have a life I really wanted to yelled at them 'cut the bullshirt and just thank your *mom (they never recognize that)* for everything and let her be'. What she did for them was priceless, I love her. She's the best sister/mom. For didn't have parents that took care of her, but she was capable of taking care of 5 kids so I give a f about her mistakes (she's human, the heck people want from her?). I love her character.
Their relationship to Monica was so complicated. She was an incredibly selfish person but she was still their mom, and her good days were so good it gave them hope. I think it was incredibly hard for Carl and Debbie because they were so young during all her visits. They should have been more appreciative towards Fiona though, Carl and Ian are the only ones who were consistently kind to her (not counting Liam because he was so young)
My baby Fiona it’s so tired she doesn’t get back the love that she always gives, I wonder if she’s gonna be back for the last season, I really wanna se her happy
once in a while I like to come back and see this vid again, its so amazing how you capture Fiona's essence, and im here for it ❤️ one of the realest character that i see and can relate
This is the most meaningful, faithful, caring, real (to her), chilling, moving, beautiful, wonderful, incredible tribute; that I have ever seen. And I heard. I really liked the music. Thank you for this work of art. "I did it all, Frank" 👊 👏👏👏
I will always come back to this edit. Fiona will always have such a special place in my heart. You captured her emotions and her as a whole so well. She is so so missed
rarely seen a tribute video capture so much of a character's essence in less than 5min, making me feel like I know her when I haven't watched the show ; the song choice was even more perfect, great job 👏
I know Fiona is fictional, but I know there are people like her out there, and my god.. I respect you guys, hope you can push trough and finally find hapiness for yourself!
Rewatching this show right now, and I just passed the part of Liam going to the hospital from the overdose when Fiona was celebrating/partying. Lip was so cruel to her, even after all of the mistakes he made or would make he took it all out on her. Like hadn't Frank and Monica done worse? Why did he have to despise her like that? It actually makes me so mad. Don't even get me started on the Debbie baby thing.
Oh wow!! This is gorgeous in quality and coloring and intensely careful editing for exactly the right moments for each lyric and for parallels and for keeping with the dynamic pace of the song... no matter what it was at any moment you were matching the pace so perfectly. The song is hitting me differently after seeomg tjos, I really noticed more of the specific lyrics than I had when I heard it before. The video was absolutely perfect for highlighting the song! I love how you focused in on such a specific aspect of Fiona's character in a way, the most defining role of her life, without actually showing her siblings much AT ALL; mostly just tons of emotional acting from Emmy and closeups and really making the viewer feel deeper inside her pain and struggle that you painted with all the perfectly used voiceovers, of which you found so many to fill the entire song to the maximum saturation of voiceovers it could probably take before it would be covering up the lyrics that fit SO well you'd think the song was written for her storyline. You did such a good job picking the song too. Sidenote: I completely forgot that the 2:04 through 2:15 moment wasn't actually Frank finally admitting she did it all by herself, which would be humorously shocking, but that it continues and he makes it clear he meant he was the one who "did it" by himself and she just helped there lmao. I mean obviously for the viewers and for Lip it's a reminder of how she did it by herself but... STILL lol!!
Ok I'm blown away by such a love letter for my video... You actually mentioned everything I was focused on. And yes this song is like written for her. I don't even remember how I came to the idea to use the song for her, it's been a while. But it really matches her storyline. I must say to me it's always a big deal when Frank at least admits SOMETHING since he definiteley is not capable to face the harsh truth about him being a bad parent. But well, we all know what Fiona did, she knows it and that's the most important I guess. Thank you really a lot for this comment

There's no guarantee that things will be perfect but she will be able to focus on herself as an independent adult instead of being a constant caretaker to those around her
Im glad she left Chicago and I hope we see her come back to say hello in season 11 all successful and happy with her life
How the hell did Emmy Rossum not win any awards for this role
“I did it all, frank.”
She should of won an Emmy or something, all these actors are underrated.
Lol was the irony on purpose?
@courtnie Lmao same
@@dasren she is an Emmy
she prioritised her siblings so much. yes she made her mistakes but she grew up and cared for them before she was ready, when she was a YOUNG child. of course she has things to figure out later. beautiful edit, its always her storylines that make me sad
Her siblings need to appreciate that she dropped out of high school for them. That's a huge sacrifice. She wasn't even a senior in high school and she had to become a mom
When frank said those words to lip I was so happy
when frank said "spend less time blaming her and more time thanking her" it's because he knows she did what he never could nor wanted to. she took up what he failed, and he owes her the world for that
If she were a real person, just imagine that, like imagine fr, the respect I would have for her
That´s the sad part. There are to many people like her.
This is realistic that’s why people watch it cause they can relate and there are people like her sadly they don’t get to leave.
she had balls definitely. she wasn't the most responsible but she learned. but mostly she was broken but those kids meant the world to her, they were her glue, and for her to leave them must have hurt but it was for the best. when she left it hurt for me because i couldn't fathom the thought of leaving everything i've ever known on my own terms and i've done it because i was forced to and i felt like hyperventilating for her, so many memories good or bad, the laughs the tears, it gave her something to remember, those experiences gave her lessons and taught her well, she gained character. she came from bad parenting, ungrateful kids who wouldn't understand, and a broke down neighborhood yet she raised those kids when she didn't have to. props to her. a mother, a father, a sister, a friend, a bad influence, a good influence, a broken mistreated woman but she did it all, she gave it all.
Carl and Ian were the only ones who understood how hard she tried for the siblings to have a good life.
The parallel of her running and her getting on the train is *chefs kiss*
*spoiler alert*
Was anyone else really hurt because she wasn’t at Ian’s wedding? Like I mean she raised him and supported him through everything, It just made no sense that she would miss it.
Me too but also I feel like he kinda would've been a little bit mad at her
I feel like she didn’t even know he was getting married since she moved away
irene robles he told her to go tho
@@sofiahoes7143 yea I know? I mean he would be mad for he coming back like for the wedding?
It’s like they didn’t even ask Emmy if she would come back for one small scene in the finale.
she did so much for those kids, and yet she is so unappreciated by them. yes she made mistakes but so does everyone, she raised them from when she was 9 YEARS OLD, yet they still get on her ass when she does something wrong. i wish she would come back in season 11 to get her happy ending, she truly deserves it.
I could rewatch this show and i would never get bored.
Same but then I get to seasons 6 and 8. Those seasons are a snooze fest lmao
@@LuisTorres-vn1ev nahh season 6 is good, season 9 was a snooze fest for me lmao
i’ve always loved her. yeah the fandom made me want to hate her for some reason but? why?? all of them messed up yet when fiona messes up she can’t? she’s not allowed to? the coke thing was not entirely her fault and we all saw how hurt she was over it but her lip brought it up every chance he got
nellie smellie because for once he was put in her position and he couldn’t handle the work
Lara Tobya spot on
I think Lip got so angry at her because addiction ruined his life and his parents' lives.
No matter all you did for them it doesn’t matter she tried to make it seems like she gets a pass you don’t get a pass and it’s okay for doing stuff like that
E X A C T L Y like out of everyone she was most hurt and torn up about it more than anyone!
she did it all. i don’t get how people can hate fiona, she did every thing for those kids, all she did was care
this was so stunningly and beautifully made that it breaks my hear
this is probably the best fiona vid in the whole world
wow that's huge!
thank you so much ♥
“Spend more time thanking her then blaming her” wisest words frank has ever said.
I love her so much , she did so much for them.
"this house is so quite" "KIDS!!!!!!!!!"
:(((
This is a wonderful tribute. The song was written for her.
thank you. it took me some years to find the right song. in fact i have watched all the Fiona videos out there on YT during editing mine. yours included. and that was a really great one ♥
@@MaraSophita haha me too ! Thanks a lot !
Now she has two songs. This beautiful one and the F song 🤣
Emmy deserved an Emmy
Frank don’t not know how to say sorry or thanks her for her hard work, he had real tears in his eyes when She left
This gave me chills every time I rewatched it. I think Fiona is the best female character ever.
At the part where V says “this house is so quiet.” Did anyone’s else’s mind go to KIDS BREAKFAST?
To be honest, the fact that she only developed an alcohol abuse disorder is pretty impressive considering what she went through.
this made me so sad and nostalgic
and the song with all of her facial expressions and shit just hurts
i have goosebumps and im crying. this is beautiful. fiona is beautiful, a beautiful mess. she is amazing, and she rarely puts herself first. i hope she returns for season 11, because i know filming has been postponed due to coronavirus so honestly i havent heard much about whats going to happen.
This is the Fiona tribute we really deserved in the final season
Fiona was so selfless and so unappreciated...I admired how fearless she was with business ventures.
they never really appreciated her, she did everything for them and if she made a mistake she was a ‘terrible’ person. Of course she was going to make mistakes she didn’t have the time to make them as a kid because she was RAISING them.
this is _perfect_ she was such a brilliant character and it constantly frusturated me near the end that they didn't quite know what to do with her in a better way that fit her arc. this is so beautiful.
Thank you so much
She really was the best and most captivating character on the show. the only one i ever found myself really getting behind. I'm sad that she left the show, but glad that the character got the fuck away from her family because they were bad for her.
She and mickey honestly were the best character developments in the show.
I’m so fucking happy that she left, that she FINALLY gets to live her life. She deserves it. But I still miss her.
That one dislike is from cousin Patrick
I swear she literally made this show feel more as a broken family with her than without her😩😭 I literally felt all her emotions 💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 such an amazing talented actress
This edit is just incredible, you perfectly captured Fiona's character development of 9 seasons in just 4 minutes. It's moving, the music fits perfectly, it's just incredible. Thank you for this tribute, thank you for sharing it with us.
Wow thank you too, makes me really so happy you think so :)
well, I've shed a quiet tear. then another. and another. hell, maybe three more.
I don't watch shameless but from what i've seen fiona always had this 'hits home' feeling in some sense to me. season it with the song i love so deeply it's almost hate? *magic*
you did an excellent job here, i'm happy for her too :')
PS. always glad to see an update from you, but even more glad when you take time for yourself to heal, muaw!
thank you my dear ♥
I CAN'T DESCRIBE HOW POWERFUL THIS VIDEO IS.
I've never seen Shameless but your character edits always cut so deep--I still think about your Vanessa Ives edit whenever I listen to "You're Somebody Else"! Wishing you the best!!
makes me quite happy you've still watched my video without even knowing the show. also what you said about my Vanessa video. Thank you dear ♥♥
This is absolutely beautiful. I think this is one of the greatest tributes to Fiona Gallagher. The parallels from then & now was amazing. I miss her so much. Keep up the amazing work!
Over 5 years it feels like the show was just made😍 she did it all and she did it the best💕
they way she got treated when she hit rock bottom was unbelievable.
They should have been more appreciative towards Fiona though, Carl and Ian are the only ones who were consistently kind to her (not counting Liam because he was so young)
my friend isn’t that fond of Fiona but i love her so much and strive to be as hard working and amazingly she was.
Amazing work. It moved me so much. Fiona is one of my fav character ever and you really honored her.
I was in tears at the end.
Thank you :)
this broke my heart in the best way
Wow, this was unreal. I’m mind blown. This is a work of art. I could watch this over and over.
amazing character, I really love her from the bottom of my heart.
My baby Fiona it’s so tired she doesn’t get back the love that she always gives, I wonder if she’s gonna be back for the last season, I really wanna se her happy
Amazing character portrayal. There is so much emotion behind this. I also hope you feel better and know how amazing you are.
thank you so much ♥♥
once in a while I like to come back and see this vid again, its so amazing how you capture Fiona's essence, and im here for it ❤️ one of the realest character that i see and can relate
This is the most meaningful, faithful, caring, real (to her), chilling, moving, beautiful, wonderful, incredible tribute; that I have ever seen. And I heard. I really liked the music. Thank you for this work of art. "I did it all, Frank" 👊 👏👏👏
Aww thank you too :) Reading this made me so happy
I will always come back to this edit. Fiona will always have such a special place in my heart. You captured her emotions and her as a whole so well. She is so so missed
rarely seen a tribute video capture so much of a character's essence in less than 5min, making me feel like I know her when I haven't watched the show ; the song choice was even more perfect, great job 👏
Wow. This broke me. Poor Fiona. I hope she gets all the happiness she deserves.
I know she is not real but i love her, i admire her and i relate to her
This was amazingly done and fits the music. I am in awe.
Thank you ♡
frank really cared for her and wanted to thank her for everything he just didn’t know how
Man she deserved the world ... I honeslty looked up to her in some ways
I love her ❤💔❤
I haven't watched this show but I always appreciate a great use of this song and this is EPIC.
Thank you
That's my girl yo! I love Fiona. Strong, fierce and beautiful.
I know Fiona is fictional, but I know there are people like her out there, and my god.. I respect you guys, hope you can push trough and finally find hapiness for yourself!
this might be the best edit i've ever seen
wow, thank you so much!
Best Fiona video ever. I miss her :(
Thank you. Same :(
This tv show is such a masterpiece
My absolutely favorite Fiona tribute
Rewatching this show right now, and I just passed the part of Liam going to the hospital from the overdose when Fiona was celebrating/partying. Lip was so cruel to her, even after all of the mistakes he made or would make he took it all out on her. Like hadn't Frank and Monica done worse? Why did he have to despise her like that? It actually makes me so mad. Don't even get me started on the Debbie baby thing.
Debbie was such a pos
This woman is the true definition of powerful
I’ve watched shameless 3 times here I am again
She is so underrated
This is so well done, I’ve watched it like ten times, gives me chills every single time ❤️
I can’t stop crying when it’s comes to Fiona
SAME
Nooo stop it’s 4:24 and I’m crying 😭 Fiona carried the show 😭😭😭💕I’m sad she left
this made me cry, she did so much for them...i love her so much, i miss her..
This is the best fandom video I seen yet
I never forget fiona ❤ great character , great actress ❤ ....
the universe saw her when she was on the floor and it kicked her until she couldn't move and she STILL bounced back.
I loved itk season 8 where she was more independent, but then fell for an Irish dude. Then season 9 happened. This poor girl.
Frank knew that she did a good job, but he could never admit that
she deserves the world 🥺🤍
