its interesting what you said about Jungkooks curiosity. as fans, we often joke that this is Jungkook's first life (meaning he has never been reincarnated) because he is always so curious and surprised and amazed by people and things around him. :)
The thing is… religious/spiritual traditions tend to see highly evolved people as being wise, self-reflective, spontaneous, & joyful, much like Jungkook💜✨. That would suggest this either might be his last life, or he could even be a special incarnation. I’m not saying any of these options are true (!), just that there are real problems with the ‘first life’ idea. JK isn’t naive, amoral, or just a partier, which is generally what traditions say about first-lifers. (Sorry, Max, if you read this and find it a little… out there. I have a univ. background in Asian religions. The number of ‘likes’ on LN’s posting was already so high, I felt the need to comment.)

There are Hindu, Buddhist, Daoist, and different psychics’ explanations…and there were even early Christians who said there is reincarnation, and some medieval stories from mystical Judaism mention rebirth occurs when 2 loving people have unfinished business. All the theories usually suggest one of two things: (1) unfinished character development (‘sin’ is a pretty intense word, but maybe). We are over-attached to this world by our unfulfilled desires, so we draw ourselves back to it to be born in a new body to get our wishes- the money, fame, status, love, etc. (a major Buddhist & Hindu idea). (2) But interestingly, most traditions also speak of special incarnations (avatars, saviors, holy people) of really pure beings who are born to help purify & enlighten (or save) the world. No suggestion of sin or strong desires there, though just living in a human body comes with some desires. Are there some saints in our midst? I have met a few high-level, personally powerful Indian gurus who really had/have something. But the curious thing is-and it’s still an open question for me-Jungkook in many ways seems as pure to me as they did! Love in his eyes, joy in his smile, wise, kind, self-reflective, spontaneous, funny, multi-talented of course, intuitive, closing his eyes in some inner bliss…and amazement, and dreams of flying he related to us in a few of his Vlives. Jung Kook is usually very fidgety in interviews; jigging his legs, putting his head from side to side etc. The fact that he was so calm in his manner in this interview shows how important he felt it was and I feel really demonstrates his respect for Jin, in that his whole concentration had to be on him.
He is calm because he has to be focused all the time. He is interviewer and there is only 2 of them. While in ot7 interviews He most of the time doesn't have to speak and is bored when no questions are addressed to him.
I think it’s not just about respect but nervousness- in this interview, it was just him and Jin, talking together. And a few of their in house camera directors/producers who they’re already familiar with. I think the setting is what enabled JK to be so calmly himself
Ok so I have ADHD so I have a bit of a different definition on fidgeting than a lot of people, so I skipped to a random part of the video and pressed play. Sure enough, Kookie was rubbing his hands and fingers together. Still fidgeting, just not as noticable as his usual rocking and such. I don't think he fidgets in interviews because he's bored, he's always fully engaged and listening even if he looks like he's not because he still replies sometimes. I can see why people would think otherwise though. The amount of times in high school a teacher has told me to pay attention to her when I was staring out the window in class with my eyes closed, only to realize I heard every word and was actually just trying to focus on my hearing 😅 I'm not saying Kook has ADHD, that's not in my certifications 😂 But he's certainly nearly always in movement somehow. I don't think I've ever seen him stay completely still unless he was sleeping. It's nice to see a little of myself in a member. I can't do that as often with the actual confirmed member with ADHD (Yoongles) because it doesn't show unless he's running his hands over something he just found because he likes how it feels 😂 (Sorry for the long ass comment, I got excited and started ranting because psychology is my passion, and regularly hyperfixate on my own conditions) Edit: I agree though! I wouldn't be surprised if he himself noticed his own patterns and toned them down for this interview on purpose. Who knows. Only he does.
Jungkook and jin are really close they have a unique relationship and I love how jk is always comfortable around jin and vice versa they are my favorite duo in bts

Jin & Jungkook are very close. You have to consider how young Jungkook was when they met, he was 13 & in middle school. Jin was the oldest & 18 at the time. He has talked about when he first met Jungkook & walking in room & being struck by how young he was & his big doe eyes. I honestly think Jin saw it as his responsibility early on as the oldest to take care of Jungkook. JK has said that before they debuted he thought about going home because he was homesick. He credited Jin for being the one to make him enjoy living in Seoul. He said he took him around & showed him the city & would bring him to his family dinners when he missed his own family. He said he treated him like a real brother. They joke around & play fight a ton like real brothers. But they are also extremely supportive of each other & Jin has always been very protective of him. Jungkook is an introvert & he used to be really shy. Jin & Tae both have always pushed him to the front & encouraged him to speak. Jin will often tell the other members to let Jungkook talk if they interrupt him or ask Jungkook what he thinks when they are discussing something & he is not speaking up. And JK is always bragging on Jin’s voice & his songs. I think they both have great respect for each other. RM has said before that Jin & Jungkook could not live without each other.
Jungkook is actually very energetic and lively, but he takes his job very seriously and also has great respect for his members. So he took great care in this interview to really try to have jin open up about his creative process, I think that’s why he didn’t try to make a lot of jokes or stray too far from the topic
Also during this time, I believe, was when Jin was dealing with Imposter Syndrome. If you notice during that time, he was not as lively as he used to be. Through the years we’ve known how Jinkook can carry themselves and be endearingly chaotic in a situation. But during this time, Jin was down and it was nice to see JK adjusting to just what Jin needs to be atm and not provoke him like he usually does.

When JK looked down at 2:49 it actually was a cultural thing as Jin is older than JK, JK is in turn very respectful towards Jin like when shaking his hand and doing a small bow/looking down or when drinking you turn away from people older than you so yea it's a cultural thing.
Jin downplays his abilities a lot . I feel that JK did not want that to happen in this interview, especially at that time Jin was going through a depression. He wanted to highlight all his talents and skills.
in a part of the video, they actually call each other 자기야 which is a term of enderment, like saying honey or darling. they're bond is really just so precious.
When you said, "These guys love each other" you could not be more assertive. Jin and JK have a very special bond with each other. They are a duo that goes beyond the group, they are connected by their ideals and values, and they share something very special, none of them relate to the other members, in the way, in which they do with each other. I don't know if you know but Jin REALLY took on that role of a big brother ( for all the guys but mostly for Jk who was just 14 years old at the time). Jin used to cook for Jk and take him to school so Jungkook wouldn't miss having that parental figure in his life and want to quit and go back home . The most impressive things for me are one that Jin is the youngest in his family but he does such a good job as the oldest which makes me believe warmth and tenderness are in his nature and second, the way Jk turned out so well even after growing up in the spotlight, you'd figure that would mess someone up pretty bad.
Wow I haven’t thought of it that way. Bec indeed JK grew up in spot light and we’ve seen many examples of how they turned out to be. People always say that JK has his own parents and everything but JK did not grow up like a normal child (oh why did I just feel my heart break 💔) He must be guided and loved very well to turn out to be the JK he is today. Now I’m really thankful he was very close to Jin even on their early years
Jungkook’s deep respect and love for his older brother really came through in this interview. He also showed his maturity and musical knowledge in his questions and comments. I loved seeing the genuine bond between these two. 💜
At their recent comeback show they were continuously playing and bickering with each other and namjoon said "even though they are like this they cant live without each other" and i think that perfectly encapsulates their relation😆❤️
I remember, we got really mad at Jin for underestimating himself like that. I mean, just listen to songs like Epiphany, Abyss, Yours, The Truth Untold, and you can see how emotional and powerful his voice is. True. My bias is Jin and i really admire him for his personality he's humble and generous actually. Jin is a really talented artist, he has got the widest range in bts and is the most powerful belter in the group, he is given the nickname “silver voice” by Grammy pannel critique, his song ranked 5 in rolling stone best boyband song of all time list, with him being the highest Asian ranking. Despite all these achievements and more, he still remains really humble, he has some sort of imposter syndrome where he always tries to downplay his talent. Jin literally can’t stand serious atmosphere and always tries to joke in such situations so jk tried really hard here to make Jin open up and not just get away without genuine answers lol Jk and Jin are super close, they are really like brothers, Jin is super close with jk’s older brother also lol
I adore Jin and Jungkook's relationship with each other. Although usually they are way sillier when together. They are like partners in crime and always get ridiculous together. They are the ones most likely to be play fighting each other...poking, pinching, kicking, leaning on each other, lol. They were messing with each other recently during a live recording and RM said they're always fighting but they can't live without each other, lol.
Jungkook is such a supportive and protective person. He doesn't like any of the members being unhappy. I notice that he adjusts himself to each member's needs in his interactions with each of them. He's very caring, helpful and humble ❤️
As to your comment about BTS knowing themselves, at 58yo I discovered these guys in the darkest time in my life. I listened to their lyrics and watched how they try to live what they sing. Now 60, I'm the happiest I've ever been, I know my worth and know I'm a person who can be loved. I really enjoy your insight💜🇦🇺
Your story is a parallel to mine. I found BTS in 2016 at the age of 52 when I had almost completely "checked out" mentally & emotionally. I lived my life 100% for others, with no thought or care for myself. These 7 angels swooped in & pulled me up out of "the pit" & helped me remember who I REALLY AM. They gave me the hope & courage & strength I needed to become the strong, confident woman I am today.
I love Jin and Jungkook's brotherhood. They absolutely adore each other; it's pure. Although Jin loves joking and making mischief, I suspect he is very supportive and comforting in private. There is this quiet authority about him. There's a quote that says, "you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with." If we look at the people surrounding JK from a very young age, it's no surprise he became a superstar and an insightful human being.
It is a well known fact that all BTS memberes share a beatiful bond between each other.....And for Jin and JK it's simply the best bond that anyone could ever ask for in my perspective....The comfortablness these two have among each other is rare to see specailly in Korea where you prioritize age hierarchy ....Jin and JK grew up together.....This interview is a rare type of interaction between Jin and JK ....Usually us fans are used to seeing these two being silly and playing together or goofing around.....But as a fan who has been with BTS for a while now and as a fan who has been attentive about these two as they are my biases I have always seen that these two were the closest in the group....It might differ in somone elses eyes but recently I've seen many fans agreeing with this.....The members are well aware of this fact as well.....(Tae:The oldest and youngest in our group share a beautiful bond)Jin and JK are each others emotional support and strength, although JK loves all his hyungs a lot he definitely enjoys being with Jin a lot when things are tough for him and as for Jin it's a fact that he always feels more comfortable with Kookie....So I just wish for their bond to last forever.....As RM(BTS member) did say that Jin and JK can't live without each other.....💖💖💜🤗

JK was such a good interviewer for Jin - attentive, laser-focused, prodding when he needed to and endlessly complimenting Jin. The ceaseless handshakes were a good way to physically connect, whether in a playful way or just an excuse to touch. Jin is such a self-deprecating person. It doesn't feel like false humility either. I believe his conviction that he "lacks" is what fuels his need to work hard and keep his head down. Hopefully he now realises this isn't sustainable in the long run and will only burn him out. On another note it's funny to me how the fans are shocked with how these two are able to sit and have a conversation without "bickering and fighting". Newsflash: if you pay attention and consume original content and not YT compilations of "Jinkook are Tom and Jerry XD", they have always been caring and thoughtful towards each other. They each seem to know just what the other needs at the moment, providing laughter, comfort or even silence. They're not especially showy and they don't pander to fan service, but if you're observant enough, it's plain to see. Their relationship is not one-dimensional and is a joy to observe. We should be so grateful they share these parts of themselves with us.

These 2, aside from Jimin and Tae probably are closest in the group.Yes, all 7 are extremely close and have their own dynamics but multiple members have said that Jin and JK are extremely close/ can't leave without each other/ have a special bond etc.and it's very evident in their interactions.Together they're chaotic yet extremely caring towards each other.

The most eye contact Jin shares ever is with Jungkook, he makes him comfortable in a way most people can’t, which is why no one but Jungkook could have been picked to interview him. Similarish for Jungkook when it comes to task of interviewing someone, as he never feels pressure with Jin and gets strength from him. Absolutely not saying Jungkook is pressured by other members but there’s a bit of hero worship with some, a more fatherly dynamic with others and playfulness of different kind that would have derailed Jungkook from interviewing.
This is such a great reaction! I love this set of interviews. You get a closer look at each member's musical process and communication skills, each effective in various ways. The one-on-one setting provides a more casual and comfortable atmosphere, especially for Jin and JK. I appreciate that you pointed out how Jin always makes the mood lighter, and you can tell he and JK are very close. the guys did point out (i think it was during their saipan trip) that jungkook is a good listener and it's comfortable to share things with him when they struggle or have down thoughts, because he mostly listens and doesn't judge. so yeah i think he would be an amazing interviewer.
Jin and JK are my favorite duo in BTS. You put any two members together and they will have a special relationship, but Jin and JK are the closest to true siblings, in my opinion. They are a little playful with each other in this interview, but kept it mostly serious. They often play-bicker and play-fight/box each other. You can see the love and admiration they have for each other in their sibling-like teasing.
Jungkook bringing some more force into that comment about how Jin is also gifted is an important moment! It's not just a compliment. Jin doubts himself as a singer, and JK is stepping outside his little brother role and into his main vocalist one every time he tells Jin he's a good singer. He's incredibly familiar with everyone's vocal abilities, that's part of his job. But in that moment, he pushes harder - essentially claims some authority - and softens it up by calling him Jin-ssi. It's respectful and leaning towards their professional rather than personal relationship but still very firm. That's my read anyway. My heart jumped when he said it like that. I'm sure Jin needed to hear it. People used to be very cruel to him about his voice and like many people chosen for their looks, he's often heard that he's just a pretty face. He works hard and accomplishes so much, but the way people react to several of the others tends to overshadow him. Love your insights!
i totally LOVE these interviews they did with one another. it's really amazing to see them getting asked good questions, plus they have an interviewer who is actually interested in what they're saying!
All of BTS has taken the time to really understand one another and create a love language that is unique to each individual member. All of the pairings in BTS have a special bond that is unlike the others. Even though they themselves can acknowledge that certain pairings are less common, their whole lives together have been learning how to be the strengths to the others weaknesses and building each other up and bringing out the best in one another. Which is why I think you could put any two, three, four, etc. of them alone and they wouldn't be uncomfortable with each other. In my opinion, Jin is the best at this with Jimin being a close second. He always has that teasing nature about him, but he changes in almost every other way to suit the member he is with. It reminds me of a mother bonding with her children and understanding that they are all different and have different needs. With JK, he is Jin's baby brother and they behave the closest to actual blood brothers.
Jin really doesn't think very highly of his own abilities. He says that hes not discontent with himself and I believe that but I also don't think he's confident ih his skills either. For instance he says that his voice doesn't convey emotion very well and isn't good in powerful music, but that's utter bs. His voice is one of the most emotional out of the group and his ability to convey emotions through it is something many in the fandom have noticed, especially on their Japanese tracks. His voice is also well suited for songs in the rock genre. Dionysus for example exemplifies how perfectly matched his voice is for rock.

for my personal experience, jin and jk are the most sibling like duo in bts they're exactly like my brother and I, joking in about 80% of all conversations, but on that 20% is the person who supports you the most in the world

I think knowing who you truly are and being honest about it is actually true humility. To not acknowledge a talent you possess is not humility and to exaggerate it is not humility. It’s cool to see Jin do that here- he acknowledges but doesn’t exaggerate 💜
Jk was the whole interview reaffirming and trying to bring up seokjin because that was dark times for Seokjin. That was January or February on 2021. Seokjinnie was a bit down in that times.
JINKOOK MY FAV tho it made me think of a favourite moment with namjoon and jimins interview, where he says 'oh yeah our youngest-' 'jungkook?' 'no the real/fake youngest' 'ah, seokjin' they are at opposite ends of the hierarchy in terms of age and authority, but made more equal by jins ability to joke and ease others. and their friendship and respect for each other really shines here. usually jk would be fiddling and jiggling all over the place in interviews but he focuses here, and seokjin reciprocates by joking but still seriously answering his questions
Jin often downplays himself, which is a funny dichotomy given he's also the one who will jokingly say really confident things. I feel like the other members often have to head off his self-deprecating ways. In one of their recent concerts Jin was deflecting a compliment from JHope and V got up and walked all the way across the stage to bonk him and make him stop, heh.
I love this duo! The eldest in the group with the youngest and they are so close to each other. Kookie likes to tease Jin A LOT as well, they keep bickering and it’s hilarious and cute to watch 💜
Jin and Jungkook are the most chaotic duo in the group 😂 Jungkook is so pure and no doubts the members had a lot of influence on him, he respects and loves them. He never sits still in interviews but here, you can see how important it was to him. It hurts me how much of a pressure Jin puts on himself to almost never show, when he's not feeling well and doubts his skills.
This is what I've been waiting for to see you react to the members in smaller groups or one on one so you can see how each member brings out a different side of each other.
I have to admit that I´m not an ARMY, only a Jk´s fan, but I really can see real appreciation in Jk and Jin. Jk seems very comfortable with him and they love teasing each other.

12:05 literally every single member in this group has said “jungkook is the most talented person I’ve ever seen.” Lol his mind, creativity, ease with learning new things and his constant curiosity of the world around him… if he finds something he can’t do.. he HAS to learn it… figure it out somehow and how to do it well before he can move on. He’s got so many random facts in his mind on any topic… it’s wild… he’s painfully humble and borderline insecure … it’s why you’ll hear them praise him often.. bc he’s so hard on himself… it’s crazy. I’ll never forget the time he said that he wasn’t working hard enough to give back the love he received from fans… he said that he should be working to the point of death…. To be doing enough 😳. 13:46 jungkook does have that kind of even keeled energy about him…and he’s very genuine… he doesn’t be extra for cameras and stuff like that.. he’s def the last one to do the most kinda thing. Jin and jk have the most precious bond and these two are exceptionally precious

I enjoy your commentary, as always. These one-on-one interviews give you a really deeper and fascinating look at each of them, don't they? I get the feeling Jin is very insecure about his skills. After all, he was initially recruited as an actor and didn't have any background in singing, dancing, or rapping, while the others were recruited for one of these skills. Of course, the fact that he made the cut to become a member of BTS proves that he'd become skilled in singing. Other members always comment that he has improved the most among them, especially for live performances. Whenever he shows this insecurity, the other members always try to lift him up. I remember off the top of my head two times V scolded him for it, telling him to never look down on himself. In their recent LV concert, when Jin apologized for being a burden because he injured his hand, V gave him a kick in the butt (literally!) and said he was not a burden.
Actually Jin was acepted in the company, for start his career as an actor, so you can't tell that only for his visuals. But the thing is that they listen to his singing and fall in love, of course ha has a talent since he was born, his voice is the best. Also he is the only who atend to college and have a degree, he is the only Actor. So he always had multiple talents, since the beginning.
I wondered if you could maybe react to a BTS concert. Because the setting is so special and unique I would be really interested in what you'd have to say. And their speeches are always worthy to be checked out.

its interesting what you said about Jungkooks curiosity. as fans, we often joke that this is Jungkook's first life (meaning he has never been reincarnated) because he is always so curious and surprised and amazed by people and things around him. :)
The thing is… religious/spiritual traditions tend to see highly evolved people as being wise, self-reflective, spontaneous, & joyful, much like Jungkook💜✨. That would suggest this either might be his last life, or he could even be a special incarnation. I’m not saying any of these options are true (!), just that there are real problems with the ‘first life’ idea. JK isn’t naive, amoral, or just a partier, which is generally what traditions say about first-lifers. (Sorry, Max, if you read this and find it a little… out there. I have a univ. background in Asian religions. The number of ‘likes’ on LN’s posting was already so high, I felt the need to comment.)

There are Hindu, Buddhist, Daoist, and different psychics’ explanations…and there were even early Christians who said there is reincarnation, and some medieval stories from mystical Judaism mention rebirth occurs when 2 loving people have unfinished business. All the theories usually suggest one of two things: (1) unfinished character development (‘sin’ is a pretty intense word, but maybe). We are over-attached to this world by our unfulfilled desires, so we draw ourselves back to it to be born in a new body to get our wishes- the money, fame, status, love, etc. (a major Buddhist & Hindu idea). (2) But interestingly, most traditions also speak of special incarnations (avatars, saviors, holy people) of really pure beings who are born to help purify & enlighten (or save) the world. No suggestion of sin or strong desires there, though just living in a human body comes with some desires. Are there some saints in our midst? I have met a few high-level, personally powerful Indian gurus who really had/have something. But the curious thing is-and it’s still an open question for me-Jungkook in many ways seems as pure to me as they did! Love in his eyes, joy in his smile, wise, kind, self-reflective, spontaneous, funny, multi-talented of course, intuitive, closing his eyes in some inner bliss…and amazement, and dreams of flying he related to us in a few of his Vlives. @@TheIdgas 'Naïve' and 'amoral' doesn't mean 'sinful' though? Just saying. Think about children. They can say or do awful things without any evil intentions. There isn't any 'good' or 'bad' connotation to being 'pure'. It just means you're a blank canvas.
Jung Kook is usually very fidgety in interviews; jigging his legs, putting his head from side to side etc. The fact that he was so calm in his manner in this interview shows how important he felt it was and I feel really demonstrates his respect for Jin, in that his whole concentration had to be on him.

He is calm because he has to be focused all the time. He is interviewer and there is only 2 of them. While in ot7 interviews He most of the time doesn't have to speak and is bored when no questions are addressed to him.
I think it’s not just about respect but nervousness- in this interview, it was just him and Jin, talking together. And a few of their in house camera directors/producers who they’re already familiar with.

Ok so I have ADHD so I have a bit of a different definition on fidgeting than a lot of people, so I skipped to a random part of the video and pressed play. Sure enough, Kookie was rubbing his hands and fingers together. Still fidgeting, just not as noticable as his usual rocking and such. I don't think he fidgets in interviews because he's bored, he's always fully engaged and listening even if he looks like he's not because he still replies sometimes. I can see why people would think otherwise though. The amount of times in high school a teacher has told me to pay attention to her when I was staring out the window in class with my eyes closed, only to realize I heard every word and was actually just trying to focus on my hearing 😅 I'm not saying Kook has ADHD, that's not in my certifications 😂 But he's certainly nearly always in movement somehow. I don't think I've ever seen him stay completely still unless he was sleeping. It's nice to see a little of myself in a member. I can't do that as often with the actual confirmed member with ADHD (Yoongles) because it doesn't show unless he's running his hands over something he just found because he likes how it feels 😂 (Sorry for the long ass comment, I got excited and started ranting because psychology is my passion, and regularly hyperfixate on my own conditions)
Edit: I agree though! I wouldn't be surprised if he himself noticed his own patterns and toned them down for this interview on purpose. Who knows. Only he does.

Jin's social skills and emotional intelligence are incredible. He's such a star, oozing charisma, yet he's also genuine and real. What a guy.
Jin & Jungkook are very close. You have to consider how young Jungkook was when they met, he was 13 & in middle school. Jin was the oldest & 18 at the time. He has talked about when he first met Jungkook & walking in room & being struck by how young he was & his big doe eyes. I honestly think Jin saw it as his responsibility early on as the oldest to take care of Jungkook. JK has said that before they debuted he thought about going home because he was homesick. He credited Jin for being the one to make him enjoy living in Seoul. He said he took him around & showed him the city & would bring him to his family dinners when he missed his own family. He said he treated him like a real brother. They joke around & play fight a ton like real brothers. But they are also extremely supportive of each other & Jin has always been very protective of him. Jungkook is an introvert & he used to be really shy. Jin & Tae both have always pushed him to the front & encouraged him to speak. Jin will often tell the other members to let Jungkook talk if they interrupt him or ask Jungkook what he thinks when they are discussing something & he is not speaking up. And JK is always bragging on Jin’s voice & his songs. I think they both have great respect for each other. RM has said before that Jin & Jungkook could not live without each other.
Jungkook is actually very energetic and lively, but he takes his job very seriously and also has great respect for his members. So he took great care in this interview to really try to have jin open up about his creative process, I think that’s why he didn’t try to make a lot of jokes or stray too far from the topic

Also during this time, I believe, was when Jin was dealing with Imposter Syndrome. If you notice during that time, he was not as lively as he used to be. Through the years we’ve known how Jinkook can carry themselves and be endearingly chaotic in a situation. But during this time, Jin was down and it was nice to see JK adjusting to just what Jin needs to be atm and not provoke him like he usually does.

When JK looked down at 2:49 it actually was a cultural thing as Jin is older than JK, JK is in turn very respectful towards Jin like when shaking his hand and doing a small bow/looking down or when drinking you turn away from people older than you so yea it's a cultural thing.
Jin downplays his abilities a lot . I feel that JK did not want that to happen in this interview, especially at that time Jin was going through a depression. He wanted to highlight all his talents and skills.
in a part of the video, they actually call each other 자기야 which is a term of enderment, like saying honey or darling. they're bond is really just so precious.

Jin and JK have a very special bond with each other. They are a duo that goes beyond the group, they are connected by their ideals and values, and they share something very special, none of them relate to the other members, in the way, in which they do with each other. For me they are the safe place of the other. In fact, RM recently said that they can't live without each other.

I don't know if you know but Jin REALLY took on that role of a big brother ( for all the guys but mostly for Jk who was just 14 years old at the time). Jin used to cook for Jk and take him to school so Jungkook wouldn't miss having that parental figure in his life and want to quit and go back home . The most impressive things for me are one that Jin is the youngest in his family but he does such a good job as the oldest which makes me believe warmth and tenderness are in his nature and second, the way Jk turned out so well even after growing up in the spotlight, you'd figure that would mess someone up pretty bad.
Wow I haven’t thought of it that way. Bec indeed JK grew up in spot light and we’ve seen many examples of how they turned out to be. People always say that JK has his own parents and everything but JK did not grow up like a normal child (oh why did I just feel my heart break 💔) He must be guided and loved very well to turn out to be the JK he is today. Now I’m really thankful he was very close to Jin even on their early years

I remember, we got really mad at Jin for underestimating himself like that. I mean, just listen to songs like Epiphany, Abyss, Yours, The Truth Untold, and you can see how emotional and powerful his voice is. It's interesting how he's managed, over the years, to build up his self-confidence, but sometimes he falls back into old habits. Thanks for the reaction! Jin is a really talented artist, he has got the widest range in bts and is the most powerful belter in the group, he is given the nickname “silver voice” by Grammy pannel critique, his song ranked 5 in rolling stone best boyband song of all time list, with him being the highest Asian ranking. Despite all these achievements and more, he still remains really humble, he has some sort of imposter syndrome where he always tries to downplay his talent. Jin literally can’t stand serious atmosphere and always tries to joke in such situations so jk tried really hard here to make Jin open up and not just get away without genuine answers lol

As to your comment about BTS knowing themselves, at 58yo I discovered these guys in the darkest time in my life. I listened to their lyrics and watched how they try to live what they sing. Now 60, I'm the happiest I've ever been, I know my worth and know I'm a person who can be loved. I really enjoy your insight💜🇦🇺
Your story is a parallel to mine. I found BTS in 2016 at the age of 52 when I had almost completely "checked out" mentally & emotionally. I lived my life 100% for others, with no thought or care for myself. These 7 angels swooped in & pulled me up out of "the pit" & helped me remember who I REALLY AM. They gave me the hope & courage & strength I needed to become the strong, confident woman I am today.

I love Jin and Jungkook's brotherhood. They absolutely adore each other; it's pure. Although Jin loves joking and making mischief, I suspect he is very supportive and comforting in private. There is this quiet authority about him.
There's a quote that says, "you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with."
If we look at the people surrounding JK from a very young age, it's no surprise he became a superstar and an insightful human being.
It is a well known fact that all BTS memberes share a beatiful bond between each other.....And for Jin and JK it's simply the best bond that anyone could ever ask for in my perspective....The comfortablness these two have among each other is rare to see specailly in Korea where you prioritize age hierarchy ....Jin and JK grew up together.....This interview is a rare type of interaction between Jin and JK ....Usually us fans are used to seeing these two being silly and playing together or goofing around.....But as a fan who has been with BTS for a while now and as a fan who has been attentive about these two as they are my biases I have always seen that these two were the closest in the group....It might differ in somone elses eyes but recently I've seen many fans agreeing with this.....The members are well aware of this fact as well.....(Tae:The oldest and youngest in our group share a beautiful bond)Jin and JK are each others emotional support and strength, although JK loves all his hyungs a lot he definitely enjoys being with Jin a lot when things are tough for him and as for Jin it's a fact that he always feels more comfortable with Kookie....So I just wish for their bond to last forever.....As RM(BTS member) did say that Jin and JK can't live without each other.....💖💖💜🤗

Wonderful analysis, thank you! You're astute in reading how much these two respect and love each other. JK was such a good interviewer for Jin - attentive, laser-focused, prodding when he needed to and endlessly complimenting Jin. The ceaseless handshakes were a good way to physically connect, whether in a playful way or just an excuse to touch.
Jin is such a self-deprecating person. It doesn't feel like false humility either. I believe his conviction that he "lacks" is what fuels his need to work hard and keep his head down. Hopefully he now realises this isn't sustainable in the long run and will only burn him out.
On another note it's funny to me how the fans are shocked with how these two are able to sit and have a conversation without "bickering and fighting". Newsflash: if you pay attention and consume original content and not YT compilations of "Jinkook are Tom and Jerry XD", they have always been caring and thoughtful towards each other. They each seem to know just what the other needs at the moment, providing laughter, comfort or even silence. They're not especially showy and they don't pander to fan service, but if you're observant enough, it's plain to see. Their relationship is not one-dimensional and is a joy to observe. We should be so grateful they share these parts of themselves with us.

These 2, aside from Jimin and Tae probably are closest in the group.Yes, all 7 are extremely close and have their own dynamics but multiple members have said that Jin and JK are extremely close/ can't leave without each other/ have a special bond etc.and it's very evident in their interactions.Together they're chaotic yet extremely caring towards each other.

The most eye contact Jin shares ever is with Jungkook, he makes him comfortable in a way most people can’t, which is why no one but Jungkook could have been picked to interview him. Similarish for Jungkook when it comes to task of interviewing someone, as he never feels pressure with Jin and gets strength from him. Absolutely not saying Jungkook is pressured by other members but there’s a bit of hero worship with some, a more fatherly dynamic with others and playfulness of different kind that would have derailed Jungkook from interviewing.
This is such a great reaction! I love this set of interviews. You get a closer look at each member's musical process and communication skills, each effective in various ways. The one-on-one setting provides a more casual and comfortable atmosphere, especially for Jin and JK. I appreciate that you pointed out how Jin always makes the mood lighter, and you can tell he and JK are very close. Their bond is admirable, especially with Jin being so responsive to JK's great questions. I love that JK kept praising Jin's voice. He deserves that, his voice is so soothing and emotional!

Jin and JK are my favorite duo in BTS. You put any two members together and they will have a special relationship, but Jin and JK are the closest to true siblings, in my opinion. They are a little playful with each other in this interview, but kept it mostly serious. They often play-bicker and play-fight/box each other. You can see the love and admiration they have for each other in their sibling-like teasing.

Jungkook bringing some more force into that comment about how Jin is also gifted is an important moment! It's not just a compliment. Jin doubts himself as a singer, and JK is stepping outside his little brother role and into his main vocalist one every time he tells Jin he's a good singer. He's incredibly familiar with everyone's vocal abilities, that's part of his job. But in that moment, he pushes harder - essentially claims some authority - and softens it up by calling him Jin-ssi. It's respectful and leaning towards their professional rather than personal relationship but still very firm.
That's my read anyway. My heart jumped when he said it like that. I'm sure Jin needed to hear it. People used to be very cruel to him about his voice and like many people chosen for their looks, he's often heard that he's just a pretty face. He works hard and accomplishes so much, but the way people react to several of the others tends to overshadow him.

i totally LOVE these interviews they did with one another. it's really amazing to see them getting asked good questions, plus they have an interviewer who is actually interested in what they're saying!
All of BTS has taken the time to really understand one another and create a love language that is unique to each individual member. All of the pairings in BTS have a special bond that is unlike the others. Even though they themselves can acknowledge that certain pairings are less common, their whole lives together have been learning how to be the strengths to the others weaknesses and building each other up and bringing out the best in one another. Which is why I think you could put any two, three, four, etc. of them alone and they wouldn't be uncomfortable with each other. In my opinion, Jin is the best at this with Jimin being a close second. He always has that teasing nature about him, but he changes in almost every other way to suit the member he is with. It reminds me of a mother bonding with her children and understanding that they are all different and have different needs. With JK, he is Jin's baby brother and they behave the closest to actual blood brothers.
Jin really doesn't think very highly of his own abilities. He says that hes not discontent with himself and I believe that but I also don't think he's confident ih his skills either. For instance he says that his voice doesn't convey emotion very well and isn't good in powerful music, but that's utter bs. His voice is one of the most emotional out of the group and his ability to convey emotions through it is something many in the fandom have noticed, especially on their Japanese tracks. His voice is also well suited for songs in the rock genre. Dionysus for example exemplifies how perfectly matched his voice is for rock.

You hit it right on the nail! One of the reasons why we love BTS is because of their humility. I think the whole fandom would agree with this statement. And we know this to be true because of how much they expose their lives to us and their authenticity with us. I feel like such a proud momma bear to these 7 boys!

🔹️I always thought the same way about them..I adore their bond a lot ...I always adored their bond from the day I started to watch BTS...Although many fans only labelled them as a bickering duo which is the highlight of their bond and could rarely see the real love they have towards each other...I also doubted my self in the beggining because we only see the things that they show on camera.....I loved their bond as if it was my own so I limited my self to some extent to avoid trouble...(Even now I do)However with time when I was paying more attention to them I was able to confirm my thought...I heard it from the members...Tae said that Jin and JK share a great bond and then very recently RM said that Jin and JK can't live without each other.....Depending on the small things we see as their caring side it became obvious to me that they are the biggest supporters of each other and the members were with them for so long also know that ....Sorry for this long comment ...

Jk was the whole interview reaffirming and trying to bring up seokjin because that was dark times for Seokjin. That was January or February on 2021. Seokjinnie was a bit down in that times.

they are at opposite ends of the hierarchy in terms of age and authority, but made more equal by jins ability to joke and ease others. and their friendship and respect for each other really shines here. usually jk would be fiddling and jiggling all over the place in interviews but he focuses here, and seokjin reciprocates by joking but still seriously answering his questions

Jin often downplays himself, which is a funny dichotomy given he's also the one who will jokingly say really confident things. I feel like the other members often have to head off his self-deprecating ways. In one of their recent concerts Jin was deflecting a compliment from JHope and V got up and walked all the way across the stage to bonk him and make him stop, heh.

Jin and Jungkook are the most chaotic duo in the group 😂 Jungkook is so pure and no doubts the members had a lot of influence on him, he respects and loves them. He never sits still in interviews but here, you can see how important it was to him. It hurts me how much of a pressure Jin puts on himself to almost never show, when he's not feeling well and doubts his skills.

I have to admit that I´m not an ARMY, only a Jk´s fan, but I really can see real appreciation in Jk and Jin. Jk seems very comfortable with him and they love teasing each other.

12:05 literally every single member in this group has said “jungkook is the most talented person I’ve ever seen.” Lol his mind, creativity, ease with learning new things and his constant curiosity of the world around him… if he finds something he can’t do.. he HAS to learn it… figure it out somehow and how to do it well before he can move on. He’s got so many random facts in his mind on any topic… it’s wild… he’s painfully humble and borderline insecure … it’s why you’ll hear them praise him often.. bc he’s so hard on himself… it’s crazy. I’ll never forget the time he said that he wasn’t working hard enough to give back the love he received from fans… he said that he should be working to the point of death…. To be doing enough 😳.
13:46 jungkook does have that kind of even keeled energy about him…and he’s very genuine… he doesn’t be extra for cameras and stuff like that.. he’s def the last one to do the most kinda thing. Jin and jk have the most precious bond and these two are exceptionally precious

I enjoy your commentary, as always. These one-on-one interviews give you a really deeper and fascinating look at each of them, don't they?
I get the feeling Jin is very insecure about his skills. After all, he was initially recruited as an actor and didn't have any background in singing, dancing, or rapping, while the others were recruited for one of these skills. Of course, the fact that he made the cut to become a member of BTS proves that he'd become skilled in singing. Other members always comment that he has improved the most among them, especially for live performances.
Whenever he shows this insecurity, the other members always try to lift him up. I remember off the top of my head two times V scolded him for it, telling him to never look down on himself. In their recent LV concert, when Jin apologized for being a burden because he injured his hand, V gave him a kick in the butt (literally!) and said he was not a burden.
Actually Jin was acepted in the company, for start his career as an actor, so you can't tell that only for his visuals. But the thing is that they listen to his singing and fall in love, of course ha has a talent since he was born, his voice is the best. Also he is the only who atend to college and have a degree, he is the only Actor. So he always had multiple talents, since the beginning.

I wondered if you could maybe react to a BTS concert. Because the setting is so special and unique I would be really interested in what you'd have to say. And their speeches are always worthy to be checked out.
Or even a live performance of a few songs that aren’t heavily choreographed.
