@@DREADxMAW i'll retry to explain step by step: 1 - *your commander* : "Cascade, cascade." (When you cast one, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card that costs less. You may cast it without paying its mana cost. Put the exiled cards on the bottom of your library in a random order. Then do it again.) 2 - *Cicada* : "Whenever you cast a colorless spell, until end of turn, Skittering Cicada gains trample and gets +X/+ X, where X is that spell's mana value." 3 - *Abstruce Archais* : "Copy target activated or triggered ability you control from a colorless source. You may choose new targets for the copy" 4 - *Mirage Mirror* : "becomes a copy of target artifact, creature, enchantment, or land until end of turn." 5 - *Monolith* So if you are lucky to have all this cards on the board (Or at least your commander with Cicada + Mirage Mirror) you can: Copy Cicada with Mirage Mirror so you'll get 2 Cicada until the end of turn, right? You can also with "Abstruce Archaic" copy "Cascade Cascade" so you can play this ability at least twice when you cast any spell greater or egal to 7 mana value. And if you are really lucky to have Monolith you can trigger another time this combo for free. With all this, you will finally have the possibility of stacking a lot of +X/+X for your two "Cicada".

I hoped they'd reprint Darksteel Forge in this precon. Colorless decks tend to be extremely weak to Vandalblast and Austere Command, though this having a lot of non-artifact colorless creatures helps a bit.
I think this is pretty in line with it actually. MoM had a deck touted as Phyrexian tribal, but turned out to be more of an artifact deck. This reminds me of that.
Calamity of the Titans is also nice because if you've already resolved your 10 mana titan you can reveal a Solemn Simulacrum and probably still bow up your opponent's boards while leaving your chonky boys on the field.
Dranith Magistrate, Void Mirror, Grafdiggers Cage, Lavinia Azorius Renegade, Boramir etc.. far to many easy to acess and cheap costing cards shut this entire deck down and can be done as early as turn 1. Land -> Sol Ring -> Grafdiggers cage or Void Mirror. player scoops. The price of this deck shouldn't be that high when it can easily be shut down with little to no investment and most decks already want items like grafdigger cage and Drainith Magistrate, Void Mirror is just a fun way to hose it.
Imagine ramping or getting to turn 6 for your commander then, if it survives till turn 7, casting a 7 drop to cascade into a mana rock and a 0 cost creature. This feels really rough. You either need discounts and mana rocks that add up to the 6 mana commander plus a 7+ cost spell immediately to try to gain value off the commander and then you can wiff with up to four 0 cost creatures and how many cheap mana rocks or drawbridge level commons. They want it to be strong but the precon is so swingy and built like a glass cannon where you can lose to your own cascades being bad.
A bit disappointed if I am honest. A deck called Eldrazi Unbound has a total of 10 Eldrazi Creatures. I know there are not that many good Eldrazi that are on a precon budget, but they could have printed some more instead of creating the new manifest cards. I have an eldrazi deck with Animar at the helm, as was looking to turn it into a true colorless deck. But I guess this is not it.
Got the wrong Kozilek for best Eldrazi commander. Butcher of Truth is more devastating then new Kozi. OG Kozi always draws 4, new Kozi can draw more but only if your hand is low. Counter spells are good BUT only if you have the exact casting cost card to drop. Old Kozi’s Annihilate trigger is a for sure thing again.
I want Darksteel Monolith for my Osgir deck for the exact reason you mentioned. Can tutor it with goblin engineer, then use the welder to cheat it out.
@MTGGoldfishCommander what mana fixing cards am i missing since signets are out i got mana vault mana crypt basalt monolith eye of ugin the ugin planeswalker most of the mana rocks that tap for 1/2 cost
If they charge as much as they do for these, I expect to have all the eldrazi titans in here. Just like slivers should've had all the rainbow slivers sans Queen. It kinda sucks when the big deal cards are a board wipe and a restrictive one with the multiverse.
Because it is an only colorless deck, there is not the risk to have a colorless useless mana and even never get the payoff. You simply exchange 3 wastes for these lans and when you do not get the payoff, it does not realy matter
Omarthis with any way to fix the base toughness and power of your creatures has the potential to be nasty For exemple with graaz you could play them for X=0 and still get a 5/3
If I am correct with Skittering Cicada and Darksteel Monolith on the field, I can cast a free card on not only my turn but my opponent's turn as well? Also, when I have my commander out on the field I get a free Cascade Cascade if the spell is 7 or more, which is what you want to cast since you get a free cast.
It would have been the best value. However, its been sold here in the Netherlands for 140 euros or 155 dollars. While singles prices are predominantly lower in Europe… so still not worth it
In still disappointed there are not that many Eldrazi in the deck called Eldrazi Unbound. Name is misleading, gave me hope it was Eldrazi tribal, but guess I'll just make it into that
Ah yeah, the ELDRAZI Unbound pre-con and its colourless matters theme. Very disappointing for those like me that wanted an actual Eldrazi pre-con. Does have some very good new cards. Shame the theme became colourless matters instead of Eldrazi Matters...
You know, this might be a clash of expectations, but I expected a deck called "Eldrazi Unbound" to be more about... I don't know, Eldrazi? Not a single of the new reprints care about Eldrazi specifically (even if many of them are quite powerful in an Eldrazi deck), but rather just "colorless good stuff". Which is cool if you like that kind of deck. I guess I just hoped for a bigger emphasis on the creature type. You know, an actual reason why you would play Eldrazi specifically and not colorless artifact tribal.
A few days ago, WotC said in the revisions of the decks, the deck became less eldrazi and more big colorless spells. In fact, there is a theory to be made that these decks could have been a lot better at first, but core pieces were cut in the process of development.
They should've just made this an eldrazi deck but no, I guess there's more money to be had in stringing people along and than there is in making things affordable.
wait if you cast endless one from your hand can you choose any value for X if you use darksteel monolith to make it cost 0? cause that's what it seems like to me cause you'd select the value of X and then when you would pay it darksteel monolith triggers making the amount you pay 0 but you'd still have set what X is
YOU CAN however use fat cost reduction to achieve what you want here. For example if you had a Rakdos Lord of riots in play and your opponents have lost 10 life this turn , then you could cast Endless one for 10 by declaring x and then having it reduced, paying no actual mana but achieving x = 10. Same way you can use treasures for affinity reduction and then sac em for mana since actually paying the mana happens last lol.
Dang this is really disappointing. For a deck called "Eldrazi Unbound" there's barely any Eldrazi in it. Would have loved to see a lot of the lower costed Eldrazi too rather than other random off-theme artifact creatures. After seeing all four of the precons the only one that excites me is Planeswalker Party. Even then I don't think it's worth the price.
Honestly deck is a let down, especially with them reprinting only Kozilek which was already the cheapest of the big three. No Emrakul or Ulamog is pretty lame

Note for darksteel monolith, flash each turn with cascades OP
That skittering cicada gives me Liberator vibes perhaps even a deja vu
Man they made a colorless matters deck and DIDN'T put ancient tomb in it. Incredible.
Or ugin or eye of ugin

Am I missing something here? Aren't X spells crap in cascade decks because X would be zero when cascading?
They suck to cascade into.. but if I recall they cascade for X.
@@DuxBellorum13 that's true, and I guess the commander's double cascade trigger ensures you have a better chance at not whiffing
Sooo.... one commander gives things cascade, the other is a 0/0 that dies if you cascade into it.... uh, nifty?
You just don't cast it if you cascade into it.
I haven't played paper Magic in years
I am buying this as soon as I can
Him: here are some new spells
Me: oh those spells from my middle school eldrazi deck
I wish the Devoid mechanic also changed color idenity as well.
Either that or give us an 5 colour devoid eldrazi Commander
These commander decks just feel like a stepdown compared to the ones we got in march of machines
Doesn’t help that MOM gave us Calvary Charge which is CRAZY!!
I think this is pretty in line with it actually. MoM had a deck touted as Phyrexian tribal, but turned out to be more of an artifact deck. This reminds me of that.
@@GershelfThe price undermines that though
Calm down, Spike.
I think this is the only deck of the bunch I'd consider to get out of the box, especially with the incidental Morph support and Eldrazi flavour.
I want Ugin's Mastery for my Kadena deck.
wow. kozilek is in this one.
But I was expecting more eldrazi in there than ~ this.
10 seems right to me. When an Eldrazi shows up, they are HUGE.
I need a commander for Ugin, hopefully this is it
I knew this deck would be sick! I can't wait to play it.
As an addition, a Liberator , Urza's Thopter thing.
More "cast as flash" :)
I'd pay $45 for this, the price of a premium commander deck. but that's it.
Literally just been searching for this video. Timing 🙌
I want Darksteel Monolith for my Osgir deck for the exact reason you mentioned. Can tutor it with goblin engineer, then use the welder to cheat it out.
Its a good card in any deck

Heres a question would fellwars stone and the signet be able to be used i wouldnt think so since they tap for colored and its a colorless commander
Fellwar Stone and Arcane Signet can't be tapped for colorless mana. The colors are WUBRG, colorless isn't a color.
24:28 - 24:32
What do you mean slim? There are no risks in this deck.
Because it is an only colorless deck, there is not the risk to have a colorless useless mana and even never get the payoff. You simply exchange 3 wastes for these lans and when you do not get the payoff, it does not realy matter
Omarthis with any way to fix the base toughness and power of your creatures has the potential to be nasty
For exemple with graaz you could play them for X=0 and still get a 5/3
18:42 It's confirmed, the Goldfish crew will mispronounce their own name if it's written on a magic card.
I need a upgrade video ASAP please no budget go all out
Could Rise of the Eldrazi be a sub for Expropriate.
Use Rise of the Eldrazi to blow up your Ugins nexus and get two extra turns 😎
It would have been the best value. However, its been sold here in the Netherlands for 140 euros or 155 dollars. While singles prices are predominantly lower in Europe… so still not worth it
In still disappointed there are not that many Eldrazi in the deck called Eldrazi Unbound. Name is misleading, gave me hope it was Eldrazi tribal, but guess I'll just make it into that
YES! FINALLY!
I'm buying this!!!!
That kaldra rant sounded personal
2017 wizards wouldve put all the big eldrazi in this
Damn they didn’t put ugin, Karn, or portal to phyrexia in this.. let down
It’s definitely the best of a bad bunch
I want to know how Omarthis works with Proliferate. Like, say, in the 99 for an Atraxa deck
Why are there only 13 Eldrazi cards in the Eldrazi deck....
GLORY TO URZA-TRON!
Confirmed Hedron Archive stan Tomer =)
A must get
"(...)Hedron archive is good(...)"

They should've just made this an eldrazi deck but no, I guess there's more money to be had in stringing people along and than there is in making things affordable.
why don't they have all the tron lands in this deck??????
Only 1 titan makes me really sad :(
And no endbringer? Is not even in the set.
They didn't even reprint each of the main Eldrazi Titans in the deck? Wizard's just can't seem to do anything right with this set.
Didn’t even try to make nerfed versions on the titan to put in.
This deck is fantastic, best of the 4
wait if you cast endless one from your hand can you choose any value for X if you use darksteel monolith to make it cost 0? cause that's what it seems like to me cause you'd select the value of X and then when you would pay it darksteel monolith triggers making the amount you pay 0 but you'd still have set what X is
No. You spend no mana on the cast, so x will always be 0. See omnipotence for a similar ruling
@@quentonmcclure8233 but omniscience says you can cast spells without paying the mana cost whereas darksteel monolith says you may pay 0 instead?
ah nevermind I just remembered another card that specifies a replacement mana cost, fist of suns, and it has the ruling that legally X can only be 0
It lacks Eye of Ugin, and has a bit too few eldrazi imo, like it is missing staples like Void Winnower. I'd allso like more than just one titan
yep, this is all going into my belbe deck
card prices came down already. i built a koziolek deck a year ago :(
These are not modern legal are they?
Dont X spells always count as zero when checking mana value?
No
When you cast them they worth what you paid
Might have grabbed this one if it wasn't $180.
85 on Amazon as of 3 hours ago.
@@xanafein8453 Unfortunately that one gets swept up pretty quickly and disappears.
As a big Kaldra fan I agree. Much too powerful.
Honestly deck is a let down, especially with them reprinting only Kozilek which was already the cheapest of the big three. No Emrakul or Ulamog is pretty lame
Where is blitsteel colosos and dark steel colosos 😢😢😢😢
I remember when we made fun of cards with a paragraph.
“Eldrazi unbound” contains about 6 Eldrazi…. 🤦🏾
It's 10 and a typal card. Still a sad amount for what was hyped up as an Eldrazi precon.
Looks sweet gonna pick this one up!
It released and IMMEDIATELY jumped to $160 pre-orders lol
Wow they even made this one dissappointing. I probably shouldnt be surprised, but wow really.
