- What Are The Best & Worst Rooms at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House? In today's video, I go over some of the best (and worst) rooms at this popular Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Resort at Walt Disney World.
Everyone's wants are different, I will walk you through some things to consider when making a room request at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House using the TouringPlans.com Room Request Feature available only to their subscribers. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House offers 4 room view categories and I will go through each one recommending my personal suggestion for each category. Some Standard View Rooms do have a partial Savannah View and I go over which rooms they are.

This is an extremely helpful video especially for the standard studios since TP only shows 11 rooms as standard on their map when there are actually close to 50. If I had not watched this I wound not have known to request a room showing as Savannah view. I ended up requesting Close to Lobby Partial Savannah View. Great video Shannon!

I was lucky enough to get a value studio two trips in a row, but would you believe both times I got 5133, the parking lot view room you show here! Pro tip for enjoying 5133--look up as you sit on the balcony so you focus on the trees and not the cars in the 30-minute lot. Thanks for your thoroughness and niceness, Shannon!

Did I miss your Standard 2 Bedroom pick in the video? I went ahead and took your advice and on the request sheet put in the partial Savanah view if possible verbiage. These videos have been very helpful for our Dec split stay were are doing!
All 2 bedrooms are lock-offs, so what I would do is look at my 1 bedroom recommendations and use that.
And I’m glad it was helpful. That was my goal. I wanted to give a variety of situations to think about when making your request.
5136 is a value one bedroom with no kitchen island. It made the room feel bigger but I missed the counter space. It also did not have a closet (other than the laundry closet).

So I don't call and make requests. I use TouringPlans' Room Request Feature. They send them to Disney 30 days before your check-in date.

Yes, now that Animal Kingdom Lodge has announced a reopening date, a version of this for the hotel side is on my list to do.
