Life saver! Thank you so much! It’s our first visit to BC. We have little ones so a bigger balcony would help us out so much when they go down for a nap. We can go out and relax. Thank you
Thanks for this information, Shannon. I stayed at BC last month after finding a spare night on a fluke. I was in 228, the room with the enormous balcony. You're right that the corner location enables the large size, but I think this room is also intended to accommodate someone in a wheelchair. There were several other features than the balcony that indicated this. The door to the room closed automatically; the bathroom door was a slider; there was a shower but no tub; and there was a pull-down table. I love your detailed reviews!
I requested a Beach Club villa based upon Shannon's suggestions. She was spot on! I loved the villa I received based upon her suggestions in June 2021. Thank you!
We are DVC members and have stayed at the Beach Club many times, we always request the quiet pool view. FYI we do not own at the Beach Club we own at Saratoga and just purchased at Copper Creek in 2019.
i watched your video of boulder ridge even though ill be staying at copper creek next march, and im also staying at beach club! i was just looking at touring plans of BC and then i noticed you posted a video of it :)
Copper Creek will be coming in about 2 weeks. I have 4 DVC resorts left to record. CCV is a little tricky because I have never stayed on that side on the resort, so I have to do a lot more research.
I love your videos that use the touring plans to showcase the whats and wheres of each resorts!!! Can someone use touring plans room request when renting DVC points? On your recommendation I used TP for our last “regular room” stay and got the exact room we requested - so thank you for the suggestion!!
The second floor seem to have the best balcony space as a whole. You mentioned the third floor, and while the third floor does have large balconies on the pool view side center, most of the third floor are the tiny Juliet balconies.
Hello! I have a 2 Bedroom Dedicated Villa booked for an upcoming 2021 trip. I panicked when I watched your video when you said that a good portion of the Dedicated 2 Bedrooms at Beach Club do not have 2 beds in the 2nd bedroom. I called Member Services and they told me that if you book the Dedicated 2 Bedrooms that you do get the 2nd bedroom with 2 beds. Only the Lockoffs (separate category that you book) have the 1 queen bed & sleeper sofa. Just wanted to let you know!
Thank you for this overview! Do you know if there are any external hallway entrances that are accessible to guests along the pathway that is closest to International Gateway?
I’m not really sure what you are asking? If you watch my vlogs from July 2020, you can see us walk the back way to the IG. There is a way to walk closer to IG and not through the main lobby
@@ShannonFord thank you! I saw the door you mentioned being able to enter into from the parking lot side of the resort. Is there a door like that closer to that little pathway that runs between the Beach Club/Beach Club Villas and the trees (near rooms 123/124) that hooks up close to the International Gateway entrance?
Great video...love touring plans. Stayed at yact club recently anfd are staying at BCV in april! When you walked to HS from the villas did you cut through boardwalk resort? Or walk the whole boardwalk?
I love your videos. I am not a DVC member but have a 2 bedroom villa, a one bedroom villa and a deluxe studio villa booked for April of 2023. Do you have any recommendations on which rooms to request so that we can try to be together? I would have booked 2 2 bedroom villas but they only had one available during the dates were are traveling.
So definitely use TouringPlans and use one room request to make all of them. List the other reservations in the Notes. And then ask to be all together and that takes precedence over any location request. You can still let them know what you prefer, but let them know which is more important, being together or a certain location
@@ShannonFord Thank you Shannon. Due to personal reasons, my son and daughter-in-law can no longer go with us so I am going to be canceling either the 1 bedroom villa or the studio . I have a 2 bedroom villa for my daughter and her husband. I want to try to get a room next to them so do you think my chances are better to be next to them having a 1 bedroom villa or a studio. I don't know which room to cancel? I hope that make sense.
Does anyone know if you stay on first floor at BCV can you walk out from the patio or do you have to go back in around to front door. Is there space for toddlers to play outside or to small a space?
Room 252 has a king and two queen sized beds, its not a lockoff and also has the extra large balcony. The master is like a suite completely separate from the rest of the room...its great room but the view could be better as your looking out towards the road.
You mention that there are only 24 2 bedrooms with two full queen beds. After looking at the touring plans, all of the dedicated 2 bedroom descriptions show all of them have the 2 queen beds. how do you know which ones to request that are truly the 2 full size queen beds?
Can anyone speak to noise levels in the villas? I’d like a first floor room but am concerned about ppl walking around on the floor above. Also how loud are the elevators? Perhaps compared to other WDW resorts? This will be my first time saying at a Deluxe resort so I’m hoping it will be harder to hear guests surrounding rooms. Thx!!
Beach Club and Yacht Club are known for having substantial mechanical elevator noise - if that's going to bother you (it does most people) make a request to be far from the elevators (both guest and service elevators).
Room 253 is not a good room on the master bedroom side. Balcony is big but horrible view. Shower and toilet for master is not accessible without walking into the hallway. No door between the bathtub and bedroom. Shower is not a glass shower. Shower with curtain and about 4 handicap bars.
The chk in is 4 pm but b prepared to wait til 5 pm and get the usual " they're putting the finishing touches up now" so basically no idea wen room will b ready...oh ask for mgr and get FAKE name!
Thanks for the great video. Disney resorts have something for every guest. We enjoy the quiet pool- Beach Club is our home resort.
That is awesome! We stayed here in January for a week in a one bedroom and it was amazing.
Life saver! Thank you so much! It’s our first visit to BC. We have little ones so a bigger balcony would help us out so much when they go down for a nap. We can go out and relax. Thank you
Yes! That’s one of the reasons we like Ground Floor rooms...patios are great for that too
If you do get put on the 4th floor hope you get room 454, my family stayed there last year huge room huge balcony with magic kingdom fireworks
What category?

Thank you again for another great video. Keeping my fingers crossed for the 2nd fl rooms with the larger balconies. 🤞
Use the TouringPlans Room Request. I get nothing from them, but I’m telling you it works
I requested a Beach Club villa based upon Shannon's suggestions. She was spot on! I loved the villa I received based upon her suggestions in June 2021. Thank you!

What a deep dive! Thank you!

Thank you so much for this video series! It has been extremely helpful, especially when we are trying out a new (to us) resort. :-)

Yes you can! We are DVC and typically stay on points.
Thank you so much for your reply!!
We are going to BC in a couple weeks. So much good info here
Thanks so much! I try to be helpful
I loved this along with your other videos!

This must have changed during the last refurb then. There’s a lot of posts that state otherwise. I have no personal experience with a 2 bedroom

So I think the dedicated 2 bedrooms may have gotten 2 beds during the last refurb. It’s hard to find information to confirm this. Trust me I’ve tried
Can you do this for yacht club?
I will be doing the hotel side soon starting with the Deluxe resorts. Should be up within the month
