Those lower floor main pool view rooms would be absolutely torturous for me! The noise from the pool, lack of privacy and traffic...OMG! I love Crest O' The Wave and the best room I've stayed in at BW is 5001 and I've stayed in that room twice now but have not yet been lucky enough to get G/P 5002-5010 rooms across the hall. Many people would avoid this area because of the walk to the elevators but they are right across from a door that leads out to Jellyrolls and the Boardwalk. That door was very quiet also so that is always the place I like to stay but haven't been lucky enough to get a studio in that area since there's only 2 on each floor and I prefer the higher floors. We have had outside music from Atlantic Dance but it usually stops by 10. The room is so nice that I can overlook some music.
This video had just the info I needed! Thanks! We've stayed in Garden/Pool view before at Boardwalk but next month we'll be staying in a Standard view room for the first time. Now I have some good ideas about which rooms to request. Thanks again! Best wishes!
Just subscribed! Such great information you provided about the rooms at Boardwalk Villas! We’ve been staying there for years and have loved every room we’ve stayed in. Our favorites are village green studios and of course boardwalk view rooms which have spoiled us the last four visits. Will be visiting again in 29 short days with another Boardwalk view room. Two bedroom this time. Can’t wait!! Thanks again and keep these great informative videos, coming.
so i added a night at boardwalk in march in a studio boardwalk view, im gonna go for it and try and get a first floor room for you and see how it is! haha its only for one night but the idea of being right on the boardwalk sounds pretty interesting
OMG! What a great video of the ins and outs of getting that perfect room for you and your family at Boardwalk villas. I’ve been staying at this resort for 9 years now and thought I knew everything there is to know about the villas but boy was I wrong. I will definitely be putting in room requests based off n Shannon’s picks. We are staying in a 2- bedroom Boardwalk view room at the end of May for a week. I can’t wait!! Already have my list together of room requests. C’mon 5017, or 5011, or 4011, or.............,.🙀🤣. Can’t wait! Thanks again, Shannon!! Such an informative video for us die hard BWV DVC’ers!!
We just came back from staying st Boardwalk for a 1 wk stay for 4th of july and we had the upstairs 3rd floor overlooking Boardwalk. We stay every year but have not tried the rooms with bedrooms or semi kitchen
I haven't been able to find any video or pictures of those Grand Villas. We are staying there in a few weeks and I'm going to try and see if I can get a peek. I would absolutely submit a request via TouringPlans. In the notes section, write that you have family members who can't climb stairs. That should help.
@@ShannonFord I too have tried to find the 3 bedroom 2 story from tour videos. Can’t seem to find anything recent. I would guess they are similar to the 2 story cottage rooms? I found another video labeled ‘2 level villa stay at boardwalk’. But the video did not show the whole tour. Unclear if that was the grand villa or cottage rooms?? Disney seems to keep the fact that they have 2 story grand villas hidden too. There’s got to be a reason for that. I saw you can put in the request through TouringPlans, however since we are DVC members I am unsure if I can go that route. The website is very helpful though. Have a great trip!
@@WhatsEvenRealAnymore being DVC makes no difference as far as TouringPlans is concerned. We are also DVC. It’s the only way I request rooms and I always get close to what I want (twice the exact room requested)
Hi Diane - did you happen to get one of the two story GVs? I can't find any useful pictures or video about them! I'm thinking it would be our preference..but can't be sure without more info :). Anything you care to share?
@@marciakazarian5803 Hey Marcia- I just got back 2 weeks ago. We had the one story 3 bedroom grand villa. To my understanding, the 2 story is the less popular option so if you put in a request they might be able to make that happen for you. There is an older youtube video where they tour the 2 story grand villa. Mind you- this is before the remodel so things will look outdated but they refurbed the rooms since this video. ruclips.net/video/TVOMe2KWJKQ/видео.html
Thanks so much. I will be post a short video of each day of our December trip and then I will be completing this series with the hotel side of each of the WDW resorts
Thank you for the great series on best rooms!! In Touring Plans, how do I add additional hotels to one future trip, or do I have to consider them separate trips?? I'm wanting to request a room for the 2nd leg of our stay at BWV... We also have a 3rd leg this trip. BLT -> BWV -> GFV. P.S. not really afraid of clowns - but - that clown was creepier than most, it was good news to hear it won't be staring at us!! lol
We are staying in a garden/pool view studio next May. Our first time staying there. Great video! So torn on what to try to request. We will have a 2 year old and 5 year old. I like the idea of being on the first floor just to go - without waiting for the elevator and dealing with all that with the stroller. But I want some quiet. And I love the idea of the views on the higher floors. I wish a ground floor studio faced the village green. Any thoughts?
We were in a first floor room near the quiet pool and it was very quiet. Also, there is a laundry room there near the elevators in case you need to do laundry.
We just subscribed!! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video. This is what my wife and I were looking for information about the BoardWalk Villas Studio . Great job we appreciate. Happy and healthy new year to you and your family 👪 God bless 🙏
Thanks so much. I have a video coming out this week (probably Wednesday) where I explore the resort a little. One thing I discovered is that there is a laundry room on the first floor near elevator
We own here and we always stayed boardwalk view but we are retired now and we can travel more so we are looking to book standard view to save points.😏 Thanks for sharing 👍🏻😍
This is so helpful, thank you! I have just subscribed 👍 Can I ask your thoughts on 2083 and 1110 as studios? The plan makes them look like the size of a one bed, but it surely can't be, can it?
Great video, but so much information. We’re staying at BWV for the first time. I have a studio, garden/pool view. We would like to be close to the elevator and boardwalk. My husband doesn’t like first floors. What rooms would you suggest I request?
Yes, BWV is complicated. This was one of the harder videos to complete. Definitely watch the section on Garden/pool studios starting at 19:30. (Time stamps are in description) I would recommend the Village Green area. I believe this is the area I make the sample request for. The 3rd floor rooms have the large balconies.
Thank you for all the tips! Do you know if the ground floors would be a little loud if you happen to have people staying above you? Just wondering since my little one still naps during the day. Thanks!
This is our first time at Boardwalk we booked a garden room view but would like 2 queen with 1 day bed can you recommend a room with a view of boardwalk. We will be traveling with 3 kids
If you booked a Studio villa, there are no rooms with 2 queen beds. Only 1 queen bed and a pull out sofa. It will also have a twin Murphy bed under the TV. I also make recommendations in the video
I'll be at Boardwalk in May; is it better to send the request through TP or through member services? I thought we were supposed to go through MS, but this will be my first stay as a DVC member.
Touring plans without a doubt. Disney has given them a dedicated email address to send all their room requests. Through member services or even MDE, it’s on your reservation and May or may not be seen. And if it is seen, it’s likely after they have seen and assigned the TouringPlans requests.

😘 personally, I like the location of the standard rooms better. Plus they are cheap on points

5037 is an amazing room

This is an awesome video! Thanks for all of your tips! If you have a boardwalk view room how do you access the boardwalk? Is there a door there?
There are typically doors at the end of the halls. You would access it like anyone else
@@ShannonFord gotcha! Ok thank you! I didn’t know if “boardwalk view” gave you a better access than garden view! Thanks again 😊

1110 is most definitely mismarked. It’s a 1 bed. Not sure about 2083, but I would say it is too.

Yes, focus on the 1 bedrooms.
Thank you for all the tips! Do you know if the ground floors would be a little loud if you happen to have people staying above you? Just wondering since my little one still naps during the day. Thanks!
We never had an issue with that. I would just avoid rooms by the exit doors as they tend to slam shut
Thank you so much for letting me know! :)

I’ll also add, do not complete the MDE room request for BWV. The only options are highest floor or near elevator. I just left our blank
@@ShannonFord I've heard not to do a request on MDE if doing a request through TP.
Hey we are going to Disney in September! And staying in the boardwalk villa, we are a family of 4 with two older kids whats the best option for us?
What room type and category?
what you think is the best 2 bedroom villa ( upper floors ) pool/garden
With so many pool/garden rooms, a lot depends on what you are looking for. I would probably request being on Village Green (3rd floor if possible).
I just booked dec 2025. I hope for the 5th floor to avooid the fishbowl effect.
Have a great trip
