- Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! RUclips's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at the 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 327. When the corvette stingray was introduced in 1963, it debuted, new more aggressive styling without changing too much of the originally famous 1st gen. More features and functionality, with this one being one of the more loaded models of the corvette. Features a 327 cu/in turbo fire V8 and 4 on the floor. Perfect combination of raw american muscle, timeless styling, and a legendary performance history. A fantastic look into a true American classic. During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

This is my all time favorite car!! I just love it. I'd love to call one of these my own one day...
Don't wait, then...they're only going UP in price!!
...I had one of these new in 1966 - a silver roadster with silver leather interior... L79 350 HP, 4-speed...'Great car...still my favorite after almost 50 years...
Always interesting seeing the interior accessories on these old cars and how things (switches, etc) were implemented back in the day. The '65 Corvette is also one of my faves.
You don't even need music, the car's engine ls good enough
I totally agree lol
Fax
Agreed, that 327 is a real beauty. However, the radio being in perfect working condition is a very pleasant surprise.
Those side pipes!!!! I am not sure why but they get me everytime lol
The 'Vettes from the 50's and the Sting Ray's from the 60's are such timeless classics! X-D
Such an amazing time for Corvettes. That interior is gorgeous and hard to believe how beautiful, yet simplistic the interiors used to be compared to what they put out now.
Looks a lot better than the 2020 stingray
This is my favorite generation C2 with the 63 split window the ultimate with Fuel Injection. Beautiful knock off wheels and side pipes, also first year for Big Block 396, and was 100 Lbs.heavier, with gobs of torque. Cold use power steering and breaks as standard equipment. But all in all a gorgeous car, with classic style.
Am I the only one who really loves the part when he turns on a radio and an awesome song comes on? It creates a cool vibe in my opinion. Sometimes it complements the car itself, like a 60's song playing while he's sitting in a car from the 60's
+DoctorBohr not the country song you dope
+DoctorBohr not the country song you dope
+DoctorBohr the beachy vibe one
That was a horrible song when he turned on the radio! And it's not even from the 60s. That song was probably only a year old.
The second song was good though, but still not from the 60s.
I love old cars; you are so lucky to be able to experience what cars used to be like!
I am 100% percent convinced this is the perfect car.
The Stingray body style is one of the most iconic body styles in automotive history. There is nothing like an American sports car from that era.
That Corvette is so nice I wouldn't even want to take it out driving in fear of it getting scratched
60 years old and it still has more features than most cars these days.
One of the most beautiful cars ever made.
I always love how you get every detail
Thanks Kyle. I admire and respect your thoroughness on this review. A beautiful car. I wish that you could go back and take some of the vehicles in these older reviews out for a drive... that would be great. Thanks for this. Steve
This Sting Ray is AWESOME. One of the greatest legends out there! Great review!
Lesser known fun fact: You know the car sound at the end of Billy Joel's "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)"? The car they used to record the sound in the song was a 1965/66 Corvette Stingray convertible.
Iove how the 327 shakes this thing around... imagine this car with the 454...
That car is a real work of art. Love it.
Not a big Chevy fan, but always had a soft spot for this era Corvettes.
Amazing review! The 1965 Corvette Stingray is one of the cool cars from the Corvette series! Thanks for uploading! :D
This my favorite car review you have. And the best sounding, too.
I'd love to have this engine note as my daily driver!!
This has to be one of the best sounding V8s there is.
HELL YES!!!!! Couldn't wait for this to get uploaded. Great video Kyle!
This looks like it never left the showroom floor. Very nice classic.
This really is one of the best cars every made!!
what a beautiful timeless classic
still faster than most of the cars on the road today! incredible vehicle
thanks dude for your video of my dream car from 1965 it was amazing for me to know how to use the e brake on the vette
I wish they were still this well built...
What a very classic old muscle car.
absolutely beautiful !!
I was waiting for a car like this. Good job, Kyle!
I always loved this car 'cause I had a hotwheels model of it when I was a kid.
Now THOSE are REAL pop up headlights in my opinion.
great review!
DO WANT! Great vid as always Kyle!
Love the way the rpm gauge bounces, guess it lacks a spring or something like modern cars have, the other old corvette on this channel did the same :D
Toerme yea they bounce because the are mechanical not electric they are run by gears and cables.
Absolutely beautiful car.
The 1969 chevrolet corvette stingray is the most beautiful car ever made!
Now we're talking Kyle! This 'vette is a 10. Keep up the great finds and the great videos!
You don't specifically say it is, but this one's not a fuelie...they're pretty easy to spot by the unique intake and by the nomenclature on the fenders.
Be great to hear your report away from the wind !!!
what a beauty.
One of the Greatest Ever!
It’s a beautiful clean car
nice!!! i love these sting rays!!!! i wish i could find sting ray wheels for my towncar lol
That's a REAL Corvette!
Back when cars had a soul....its beautiful. However, my favorite is 68' model...probably one of the best looking cars ever made.
What a beautiful car my favorite generation love this model but would prefer the 67 with the 427 block in it but both are simply amazing
I think you might have misunderstood the proportional aspect of the braking system. The proportioning valve limits brake fluid flow to the rear brakes before the front brakes are applied. This is to prevent lock up of the rear tires under braking.
The amount of force you applied to the brake pedal has always been proportional to the amount of braking force you will receive. Pascal's law isn't something GM invented in 1965.
i was amazed how simply all works :)
timeless classic. I want one in gray so bad.
Beautiful Car and Beastly Engine.
That is really loaded and in beautiful shape.
Kyle, the wind was effecting the mic.
considering this car is almost 50 years old It was well ahead of its time
Wow! Nice car! Thanks Kyle.
very nice one
What a beauty, now thats a car not like todays plastics on wheels. Is it just me or older or most of older cars looks way better then the current ones, they got originality thats what makes them different, some of cars today they almost look the same.
What a sound!
My dream car!!
such nice condition. Beautiful car
this is just great automotive history! C2 corvette how can u dislike it!!!!!
Its so mint!
@saabkyle04 that battery gauge isn't a voltmeter, it's an ammeter. It measures the output of the alternator (in this case, the generator). negative readings means that it is drawing power from the battery to keep up with the needs of the car, and positive readings means it is putting out more power than necessary (in most cases, charging the battery)
It's beautiful.
This car is well maintained and looks like a new car agency
Now that was the perfect gmt product
I love it when sales people don’t know what they’re talking about ... the 65 Corvette base motor was 300 hp that’s what’s in this car not 375hp which was only available with the fuel injection model and where you came up with crossfire injection that came out in the 82...... The baffles are blown out of the side exhaust that’s why a small block would have that kind of sound from the side pipes..... The car must of had green interior originally when he puts up the power antenna you can see all of the paint peeling off of the vinyl interior and it’s green underneath more than likely this car was originally a green car with green interior.....
base engine was 250 HP 300 hp was optional beautiful car!
@@jamesnagy2307
Yep
MY DREAM CAR
Inkredible !
Gold Stripe tires. It's not stock if that is the horsepower rating or it does have the correct valve covers. Love your vids.
Also the tac is the 300 horsepower version.
4 small blocks and first year for the 396 big block.
I had a 1964 365 horse solid lifter version. Thanks for the vid. They are great cars.
@saabkyle04 I knew you for 4 years and also i watched all of your videos and they were great and i like all of your video i thumps up to every single one of them and please reply
Hey Kyle,
Congrats for your great job... But I think it's now time for you to review a couple of Lotus, including the spectacular Exige S260... Hope you doing that soon!
Continue your great job!
@Ericbuyslunch Good question..most cars from that era didn't have a tach. Most cars do today because it makes the car seem sportier. In the case of Corvettes, the tachs were electronic by the 70s. Instead of a spinning cable, they measure current to the distributor/spark plugs to determine how fast the engine is turning.
I almost cried of happiness lol, that thing looks brand new
Please please please do that GTR in the background!! I'd love to see that :)
sweet stingray! thats an instant classic right there. Bruce Springsteen used to have one of these and its now on display at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Neat radio too; its interesting how pieces of technology have began and evolved over the years. and when you turned on the radio, I was disappointed because I expected Hulk Hogan's theme song to play lol. Idk why, but for some reason, I can see Hulk Hogan driving this and having "HULKAMANIA" written on the hood.
Oooooo that's nice!!!!
Cruisin down the street in my '65 Vette
@saabkyle04 I like that sweet 1965 corvette
i think this one of the last truly great looking vettes before the mediocre 70's and fugly 80's.
Cool rare-mobil :)
wondering if you could do that red 911 from the beginning kyle always wanted to see the interior of that model
@saabkyle04 please do! cant wait for that car.
when you have a engine that you can't hear urself over..that is a real engine..lol..this car is a pure classic
nice car
Now that's when Vettes were still Vettes!!
@FordFanPerson glad i wasnt the only one to notice and care enough to say something.
What a car if someone pulled into my shop with this. FREE lifetime maintainance lol
Nice american car with pop lights.
In the 60s... Amazing...
(I changed the comment, so the replies will have to understand what was the comment first about.)
@watergod 83 The only thing I did a comparison, calm down.
@watergod 83 Oh.
That's Hott makes me want to buy one
Is the music that played on a radio from around nine minutes 58 seconds what and a title of a musical composition to say?
I would play this far a lot in PGR4
i like the steering wheel :D
It sounds really funny, the tone with which you finish all of your sentences.
Good sound system for 1965.
@ThatCheetosGuy79 Your friends at Fox Broadcasting and RUclips Administration found the need to delete his videos due to copyright infringement. Those videos of older cars were gold to me!
