As someone who has had the same experience (I was married and my now partner was married), you don’t expect it. You don’t wish for it to end and you don’t do it because it’s fun. You find a pull that you cannot ignore and that’s the pull of finding yourself and finally understanding who you are.

I just roll my eyes when I hear her talking about how great everything is.
