Just to set the record straight (no pun intended) Ali won two world cups, she actually played in both games. Ashlyn was a bench warmer for both world cups, and never played one second in either game. So Ashlyn Harris has two participation trophies.

As someone who was a krashlyn supporter before they were even public with their relationship (around 2011 or so), but who doesn't follow women's soccer or players as much anymore.... I was so SHOCKED by the news. So juicy.

Ali Krieger was in her day one of the best defensive players in the world, and her physical and personal discipline along with her work ethic toward the game was always prioritized.
As far as her becoming a "bench warmer" is still questionable; even Cristiano Ronaldo was relegated to the bench by Manchester United back in 2022.
Ashlyn Harris should have been "Pants Down" with Ali Krieger from the start instead of doing whatever she was doing with Sophia Bush Behind her back.

She was a bench warmer for all of the 2015 and 2019 World Cups. Ronaldo was relegated to the bench for one game. Harris was regulated to the bench for 10 games in both tournaments.

You know how hard it is to make US. National Women's teams even as a bench warmer?
They always market themselves as a package deal and I think that Ali K's. career was the one affected the most by this 'two for.'
They did not start dating when they were in Gotham together, they had been together for 10 years before that, then married for 4. That is why I think if Ashlyn went about this right she would still have the friend/ teammate (Ali) that has been there for her since her 20s and 30s. That's a long time to know someone and to no longer have that even if you are no longer romanticly involved with each other will hurt the most after all this has calmed down.

eh Theres a differences between NT and club. Ash was a starter for every club she played for. USWNT back up GKs rarely even play so not sure why people give her so much shit for that..this has f*** to do with her personal life.
Tbf it’s not like she played for a lot of top club teams either. In women’s soccer, since club was so underdeveloped for so long, national teams were all that mattered (and that’s still kinda true despite women’s club teams growing in the past ~5 years or so).
A lot of that criticism comes from how damn cocky she came off as when she was with the USWNT. Like how are you gonna be so cocky when you’re a benchwarmer??
