I have adopted siblings and my parents don’t make them call them mom and dad because they know they have real parents. That is a walking red flag. You have to be respectful of boundaries and knowing how new relationships work between step-parents/ adopted kids.

@@LegendaryTony. yep I have 4 adopted sisters. They are 15,13,9, and 3 years old. They’ve been living with us since January 2nd 2021 and were adopted October 2023. They were in the foster care system because they had abusive parents and lived in very toxic conditions. I’m so glad they ended up with my family because my parents understand how to respect their feelings to their bio family and toward us. Im 20 years old and I’m now the oldest of 7 kids after living with 2 siblings until I was 16 so it’s a crazy change but it’s been very cool to be able to help my new siblings
