I mean based on tokyo, it has to be Su Bingtian. I've never seen anyone leave the field behind the way he did on that day.
yeah but its about consistency
yea he has the best start of all time, but he isnt the greatest starter of all time. Coleman has many 60m splits in the 6.30-6.35 range
@highbasketballknowledge fair point. He's probably top 3 however.
start is suppose to help you win the race not win until you reach 60m that being said its a no brainer that asafa powell has to be the best starter
@@travisfoster7990Ben Johnson
i cant imagine what su bingtian couldve become if he had the genetics to run fast. He showed more dedication and thought behind running than any athlete ever before.
Wow didn't expect Bolt and Blake as such a prime 30m starters matching Su and Coleman in this matter, thought they were only closing the race exceptionally cuz whenever they met Coleman or Su they were left in dushes in face to face clashes
They were old
because they were not in their prime anymore.
How Gold medal has Coleman won in Olympics? Is Coleman even faster than Gatlin or Tyson Gay?
@@amooolusina6978 no
bolt only faced coleman in his last year of competing when he was struggling to break 10 seconds, so thats not a good indicator, and no bolt didnt really get "left in dushes" against su unless youre talking about that 1 specific race where he stumbled coming out of the blocks, other than that hes always matched him pretty much, though su has never been at his peak while facing bolt either
I call Gatlin Mr. CONSISTENCY, no more was as consistent
2014/2015 when Gatlin consistently ran sub 6.40 60m en route to 100m. But Coleman’s 60m still faster and more consistent.
ABSOLUTE LIES, A LOT OF PEOPLE WERE FAR MORE CONSISTENT
While Su is technically the fastest, no one is more visually impressive than Asafa Powell.
From a technical standpoint, Asafa Powell and Maurice Greene are the best starters. If we're looking purely at their splits then the list is just about fine.
Su Bingtian had one great start. However, Coleman constantly beats everybody at the starting block.
Look up Coby Hilton❤ Coby Hilton the the BEST 60 meter sprinter right now🙂😎🥳🙂 Jack Darcy, Jacob Desbard Dylan Randall, Gatlin Bair, Brody Buffinton and Rohan Browning are great also❤🙂 There also others
@@giffysstiffy887looked him up and was 11th at usatf indoors, good but nothing like greatest ever discussion
@@Sough Beck's recent races have been VICTORIES and so have also most all of Tanners....these guys WILL be yhe best🙂 Hilton will eventually be the best too
Loool it’s mad Bolt got his best starts when it really counted in the championship finals. Master of rising to the occasion. And those sub 3.8 led to the 3 fastest times ever 🐐🐐🐐
Great video… I’d say Coleman.
I cant stand how nuch i love your accent!😂
People need to look up Coby Hilton, Jack Darcy and Jacob Desbard❤🙂 These are future stars that are not getting enough attention. Brody Buffinton, Rohan Browning, Gatlin Bair, Dylan Randall and Cody Hagen are great sprinter also and they will be stars in the future❤🙂
@@giffysstiffy887 lol...uhh.. ok
Da numba turti tree!
He has to be from the Caribbean.
It's the way he said tree and thousand
Nah I think Christian Coleman is the greatest starter of all time because not only he is the 60m world record holder but also I have never seen anyone being ahead of him in the first 30 meters let alone Su Bingtian and Coleman has even even beaten Su Bingtian in 60m indoor race.
Absoultely. Coleman is the greatest ever because of his consistency. There is not a single race in which he came second to anyone in first 20m. He has mastered the technique in true sense. Others are good somedays and bad most days. But not Coleman
9:35 At this point it's clear for me, Su Bingtian
You forgot to mention Andres Simon from Cuba!
Technically, Asafa had a beautiful start technique
Those times are with reaction time included. So they don't tell the truth.
I think Grant Holloway also has a sub 3.8s 30
This means that Bolt is in top 5!
Grant doesn't run the 100m dash though. He's done 60m but his other shorter sprints are over hurdles.
With due respect to all the other names, none has overcome age, physiological and genetic limitations the way Su Bingtian has. He is the greatest by far.
While Su's starts are done outdoor (which are usually wind aided), he's 100% up there with the greatest starters in history. The only one that can rival him is Coleman who runs his 60m indoors (no wind)
I think in my opinion If we talk about sprinter at their best su Bingtian is the best. I do like Coleman, he is super fast out the start where nobody could not catch him. Su bingtian is the top 1 best starter when it comes to their personal best. I could see why people think Coleman can be at a top 1 spot since we seen him plenty of times where nobody could catch him. And Su only had his fastest start only once. And Coleman has shown his a lot while Su only show his fastest start once. Wish Su had time to show more of his fastest start but since he is at the age where his limit is not reachable to him.
In my opinion Su has to be the greatest starter because of his time in the 30m and 60m of 3.73 30m 6.29 in the 60m.
The question is how long can 3.73 30m split 6.29 seconds 60m split be broken?
Colaman should be #1
Maurice Greene is the best starter of all the time!
LIES
Usain Bolt is not greatest starter ,But he is The Greatest Top end speed Runner ever.
🏃♂️💨🚀🚀🚀
Where is his accent from?
Ireland
What do these greatest starters of all times have in common.?
fast
My 100 m time is 11.90 what i do for better time 😢

Ben Johnson is only an honorable mention??? The guy who started so fast he was getting called for false starts? He's the greatest in my opinion... not only the greatest starter but the best at the 60m and the 100m.
I agree. However, today they run on harder tracks that return energy sooner. So they can really push from the beginning. The 1980s tracks were softer, and so you had to wait for the speed to build - by comparison. Charlie Francis mentioned this.
Plus shoes are lighter with carbon plate spikes.
I think a prime Ben Johnson on a hard track could beat any of these 30m and 60m times.
@@mathewstovell5167 I totally agree... I think with the tech of today the 87 and 88 version of Ben Johnson could easily run a 9.5 or better in the 100m.
@@stratkiller2531 dont forget PED testing is more strict as well... i believe all the very top guys are using it to some extent, but much less than the guys in the 80s were with their horrible doping restrictions, with that in mind i doubt johnson would run anywhere near 9.5, but who knows
@@Someone-hi1nt with today's tracks, and shoes, prime 1988 Ben could've run 9.5 in my opinion.
@@stratkiller2531 maybe if he kept continuing to use the same amount of drugs he did back then, but if he had to limit his drug usage to fit the newer regulations, no he wouldnt have
Armin hary.
Ben Johnson was dirty. Period. He was proven to be juicing. Where was Yohan Blake on your list? 2nd fastest 100/200 of all time. Also, none of those splits and measurements are scientific or official in any way. That said it's fun to speculate. The proven best starter is obviously Christian Coleman - WR 60m, WR 40y in a one off - I bet he could even do better. Coleman's the best.
he was on the list at 3:54
The fastest starters who are consistent aren't the greatest finishers
Su is the only sprinter who broke the thought of scientists and others who keeps saying SHORT LEGS can't run fast. He broke Usain Bolt's record 60percent😈😈😈😈
His acceleration is TOO GOOD he should be a football player bro
What are you on about. It’s always been, short guys can run fast, and tall guys can’t, until Powell, Bolt. You must be young?
@@thesource0024 yaa u r right, but that was in early days. In today's world most of the fast athletes have big legs. Thats what i was saying.

Ben Johnson is the greatest starter of all times followed by Jon Drummond/Maurice Greene and Christian Coleman
