Thank you Rob. I need your advise on how to become a good Supply Chain planner . I am working in Distribution Center and looking for advancement in my work to be a Supply Chain planning.
Hi there. I am from the UK, and was wondering what advice you can give me for getting started. I am looking in to getting into Supply Chain, such as Procurement Management, Building Management, Sourcing - what is a good educational route to take? is it best to look in to the university route, or are there placements and apprenticeships that can be just as effective?
Enter in whatever role in logistic, also as good receiver or warehouse role... Once your are in it will be easy to move on! Otherwise try to apply in global business services otganization where they use to have Purchasing, sourcing , inventory stock control or even Procure to pay where usually it's easy to get in after college. I'm from Italy and I have start my career in the global business services of multinational pharma company holding Accounts payable role , Intercompany Supply Chain analyst , Purchasing project analyst role and now I have been relocated back to Italy in sourcing team! Just to give you an idea that at the beginning it's just matter to start in a role where the skillset you will gain will be spendable in another roles which will bring you closer to your dram job. Good luck
Thank you for this very useful video. moving forward, how can technology like software called for example anylogitix or the supply chain guru can be used to manage the decision making process? The practicalities of logistics in terms of location, cost calculations etc ? How can that be carried out using such tools and software?
Hello Mr O'Byrne, I'm planning to do Master's in SCM, I've gotten an admit into Cranfield School of Business and am waiting for responses from other universities as well. What is your opinion on Cranfield? Is it good? Also, thank you so much for the great content. Helps out people like me.
Hi Rob, I hope you are well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have some questions related to supply chain and logistics would you be kind to answer the below as I could not find much information on google search. I have worked 5 years in engineering projects in middle east, and I have been working for the past 2 years in customer services roles in a courier company, I have interest in Project Management. My question is that how can i fit in the supply chain industry? what roles should i target? my current role is international and overnight coordinator. How can I utilise project management skills in supply chain and logistics? if you could do a video on Project logistics and what it is all about that would be great. Please accept my apology for asking so many questions. Cheers!

Sorry I am not really an expert on that role. I’ll see if I can get one of my team to do a video for you.
how you see sourcing diversification, how it affect the future supply chain n logistic.
It may add complexity and some cost, but should reduce risk and strengthen Supply Chain resilience.
Thank you for this video

What will You focus on in 2021?
People and flexibility:)
Productivity and people moral
Digital Transformation
sourcing
@@hosseinheydaryan7308 I think a lot of people will focus on that!
That cost that you talking about will come out of product quality. It's insane to think it will work.
I would never suggest compromising on product quality or customer service......
