How to replace fridge freezer thermostat

If you need to replace fridge thermostat but are unsure where to start, there’s no need to panic.
This video shows on how to remove or replace INDEST / HOTPOINT fridge freezer thermostat. Some models may be different but the procedure should be similar.
SAFETY FIRST! make sure that you have switched your appliance off at the mains before starting your repair.
Replacing the thermostat is usually very easy and the good news is you don't have to use exactly the same model. You need to compare the length of the capillary (it may be longer) and the operating temperatures from the specifications (these are not the temperatures inside the refrigerator!).
If the capillary cannot be pulled out easily, do not use force because you will break it! Defrost the refrigerator as the capillary may be frozen. If that doesn't help, you need to look at the back of the refrigerator as the capillary may stack somewhere.

hello, I have an identical fridge and in order to start cooling, I must first set this regulator to 0, i.e. a dot, and only after clicking, set it to medium temp and then the aggregate starts working and starts cooling, I have a question, does this mean that such a thermostat is broken? Regards

Do you happen to know where is the fan on this model? I have aproblem that the refrigerator doesn't work but the freezer works... I can't find the fan! :P
