Like a bunch of children getting together and going wildly out of control, with no adults being able to stop them. It's why I loved playing Rabbids Go Home so much. It's like if you just went "Hey, I wanna go to the moon! How do I do that? OH! Let's build a tower!" and then gathered up all the other kids in your neighborhood and all other neighborhoods and proceeded to steal and cause havoc at your leisure in order to fulfill this one simple goal. I'm really disappointed that the show almost never recaptured this feeling, and instead just leaned further into 'lol, random' territory. Still *WAY* better than the Minions tho. It's ironic that the Mario+Rabbids crossover turned out so well. Everyone was so certain it was going to flop, but it's stood out as one of the better Mario spin-offs. As for the Rabbis t.v. show, I think it's fine from what little I watched. But even I wouldn't have given it three seasons of more than a hundred episodes. The Rabbids' gimmick really doesn't seem like the sort of thing you can make multiple seasons out of.
I agree. As someone who watched the Tv show during his teens, i've been slightly disappointed by how the behavior of the Rabbids was changed, for example by enhancing their ability to communicate between eachother, making them stupid and kind of breaking their character. Also i think the rabbid spirit has degraded over the course of the seasons, by giving too much attention to human characters or recurring rabbids, despite one of their shtick being that they all look and act the same. But we have to keep in mind that this is a kids show, where we have to keep things simple...
In my opinion, the TV show didn't do the Rabbids justice, and I feel like its failure was one of the reasons why we don't see any more Rabbids games. Sad, since RRR2 and Rabbids Go Home are two of my most favorite games (thanks to nostalgia and mostly just how fun they are) and it doesn't seem like we'll ever get a fourth Rayman Raving Rabbids or a second Rabbids Go Home. I also feel like the minions helped killed the rabbids, those stupid yellow beans replaced the sometimes funny white insane rabbits.
I love the Rabbids in the first game cause they had a more eerie, intimidating, sadistic vibe since they were actually treated as antagonists. Like I feel they could’ve killed a human in that game. But every other game that came out since and that stupid TV series made them act more child friendly, obnoxious, and annoying, hence why so many people just see them as minions.
I genuinely love the vibe of the original Rayman Raving Rabbids, I feel like it had so much potential and I love how the Rabbids are portrayed as Stupid but deep down they knew what they were doing and they were terrifying
I don’t care if people don’t like rabbids, I just love the guys and watching the show even as a teenager it’s still amusing to watch something I did on tv all the time when I was younger.
I think a quote from Spider-Man 3 pretty much sums up The Rabbids: “I didn’t choose to be this” Looking at the old version of the game and even the GBA release, it is pretty clear that they weren’t meant to be cute, but rather scary and threatening. But then Ubisoft saw them as a marketing opportunity, and started changing them into what they are today. They weren’t meant to be marketing figures, but that’s what they have become. What’s most sad is that they were completely separated from a Rayman. So if Ubisoft ever decides to make Rayman 4, it will most likely not include them. Many are probably happy about that, but I am not. The Rabbids were meant to be the main antagonist of Rayman 4, not a pest in the gaming industry.
And them, one of the best gaming mascots, Rayman, died. The things took over the franchise, Rayman after Legends is basically dead. I really want Rayman 4 to be a thing
Raving Rabbids gave me nightmares as a kid, so seeing them portrayed as just silly wacky rabbits is seriously unnerving lmao. Does Ubisoft not remember that one level where they made the rabbids into horror game monsters and it made sense for their character?
Throwing my own hat into the ring, I wouldn’t mind if a revived Rayman 4 had the Rabbids set up to be antagonists but reveal that they were working to stop another threat in their own wacky little way similar to a twist in Kirby’s Adventure. It lets them act as the antagonists they were originally intended to be while keeping them marketable. Plus it would be a huge shock to both the characters and the audience if the rascals who gave Rayman trouble before were actually trying to do the right thing for once, even if it was through stupid means.
theyre also slightly more adult than the minions could ever be edit: not "could", "would". You can find early clips of the Rabbits, and some of the skits are quite....adult minded
i actually like some of the Rabbids games: Rabbids Go Home was really funny and surprisingly made statements on consumerist society, Mario + Rabbids is a really good XCOM-like game, and Rayman Raving Rabbids is a good party game.
Rayman: The Animated Series (also known as Rayman: The TV Series, or just Rayman) is a French-British-Canadian series of animated short films created by Ubisoft in 1999, based on the Rayman video game series, following the success of Rayman 2: The Great Escape.
i gotta say, that VR experience at the arcade was genuinely enjoyable. while i do find them annoying, i do have a soft spot for them because of some great childhood memories playing raving rabbids on the wii.
I like to think that the rabbids are actually slowly building up this plot line than the rabbids will eventually connect all video universes using their new dimensional-time-traveling washing machine. It was introduced in Rabbids In Time, where the rabbids were sucked in and sent through random events throughout history. Eventually, one of those locations happened to be the girls room at the beginning of the Mario+Rabbids crossover. Using the technology the girl invented and the Mario related material, it upgraded the washing machine to hop through dimensions. It’s currently only in the Mario universe, but this could mean they might find ways to infiltrate other universes.
fun fact: it's canon that the rabbids are pretty much indestructible. so if there was a group of rabbids that had the desire to cause harm to other species we'd be doomed :)
I watched the rabbids show a little as a kid simply because it was on and I had a couple wii games about them. There were a couple episodes where the plot is a scientist trying to study a rabbid and slowly going insane. So that was funny
I still kinda refer the rabbids than the Minions tbh at least they had a pretty good crossover game with Mario, had an interesting origin story, tied in with the Rayman series and where rabbit things, instead of, weird glowstick people or whatever the Minions are supposed to be
Despite everything, I have to thank these little monsters for helping me getting through high-school. I played Rayman Raving Rabbids 1/2 with my brother and Rabbids Go Home when I was depressed (aka all the time) and cannot forget about Rabbids Travel In Time, who unironically teached me more about history than my old books ever did, making me top of the class at the time. They might be annoying and loud assholes, but they are my annoying and loud assholes.
Although M+R did get a negative reaction, it slowly became beloved the more it got shown. IMO it’s the ultimate “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover” crossover.
I’ll forever love the Rabbids Go Home game on the Wii. I always find myself playing through the game again every 2 years or so. Definitely my favorite underrated game.
MINION MENSTRUAL PADS? I should get them. I'm not a girl, I just want to be able to say "Hey everyone, I actually spent money on minion menstrual pads!" Unironicly. I could worry so many people!
I like the rabbids and I know that’s a bit ironic but ever since Mario and Rabbids, they grew on me. And in fact, I’m confident enough in my opinion to say I wouldn’t mind them in smash as a character, although the mii costume works fine.
I want to jump off a valcano into shark infested waters have acid poured on me, eat 15 nasty patties get round-house kicked by Chuck Norris, get pecked by dinosaur goose that shoot lasers out of their eyes, shoot soap into my eyes for 16 years, and finally die a painful death on an electric chair with 1 billion voltage.
I loved Rabbids growing up, as I've always had a fondness for slapstick but I had a fondness for lore and plot even more... You can imagine how much I wanted to see The Rabbids get to The Moon.
I’m being honest the rabbids show isn’t that bad season 1 was a bit eh but season 2 and 3 were enjoyable there’s even a 4th season on Netflix that’s pretty good
That my friends is what I personally call first season syndrome. I know quite a few shows that's 1st seasons are bad, mainly because they're trying to find their footing and figure out what does and doesn't work. The episodes I've seen are pretty good, not extremely good but still, pretty good, don't know what season they were from but hey.
yoshistarhunter season one was bad mainly because it focused on the funny random haha but season 4 actually decided to give the rabbids some personality and some of them there own story line
Broken disc Man that’s why I like the later seasons they gave the rabbids personality and decided to focus on the rabbids more then having the rabbids annoy humans like in season 1 they also made the rabbids a bit smarter
as a kid my parents never bought a single Nintendo console (but I brought the switch which is my first ever Nintendo console) I never heard of rabbids as a video game but rather a TV series . i watched and I didn't like it that much it was the kind of series that I would watch if I am bored . but honestly hearing about rabbids is from a video game is a shocker .
Oh come on that mario game was actually pretty good but people say it’s bad because rabbids are in them and don’t even give them a chance…………..it’s like spyro fans with skyla-
To be honest, I prefer the rabbids more. At least they're trying to do something meaning rather than just singing and dancing. They also barely strayed from they origins, attempting to take over the world, yet failing. They also have a good story; being bullied and their leader seeking revenge by taking over the world, failing a few times before succeeding, but then the leader was either killed or arrested, leaving the rabbids to wander the earth aimlessly until they decided to live on the moon. I like them more because they seem more active and chaotic than the minions.
while i do love gir, it really sucks that he’s on literally every piece of iz merchandise. im glad they made more based on different characters after enter the florpus came out
I honestly remember watching Rabbids Invasion when I was much younger. I also remember making fun if it, even when I was at a young age. I still enjoyed it though (at least from what I remember). I also rarely ever hear anyone talk about it so I often belive i dreamed it.
I just want another Prince of Persia but Ubisoft has gotta make more AC and ghost recon I guess. And far cry. I really dont care about those series anymore :/
Despite knowing both characters, I discovered that the Rabbids and Rayman were connected way after I knew the Rabbids. They just don't feel like they exist un the same universe.
As someone who grew up with the Rabbids, I think they're much different from the minions. There are a lot of good games like Rabbids go home and Mario and Rabbids kingdom battle. Plus the TV show wasn't that bad. They also had a few more shorts and graphic novels that were a bit, graphic. (Sexually, and violent)

I actually used to play the first Rabbids game a lot as a kid and I never really saw them annoying, as much as I found them creepy. That slender unblinking four legged robot, those giant distant machines, the demon jump rope game, and the giant hairy guard rabbid. They always felt silly with a secret sinister side. Not anymore in the current games, but just the first game.

Mario + Rabbids was actually a really great game. 😄 The gameplay was great and the humor that was used was less random then anything else with the rabbids
when i was younger, i actually quite enjoyed playing the Rayman Raving Rabbids games. they were fun minigame collections with personality for me. but i had never played mario party or anything at the time, so i dont know how well i would like the games today. probably not very much, as you stated how the "annoying character" being the point of a character isnt very fun. especially as an adult. Oh, also, i just wanted to say, its been really awesome watching your channel increase in quality these past couple years or however long youve been doing this. i remember when you had like, 5k subs. its awesome to see you still making great videos!
Hey, Rabbids fan here, I'm here to tell you why me and many other people like the Rabbids. First off the design of them is actually appealing, it's very simple and gives enough room to give much emotion Second off, the TV show is actually pretty good the comedy is mostly slapstick and sometimes bizarre moments which are pretty hilarious, season one is really creative I mean look what they have the Rabbids do in the first episode, the first half focused on the Rabbids discovering things and the later half focused more on them doing whatever. Season 2 is more adventure focused and introduces Mad Rabbid, a mad scientist who invents things which some episodes focus on, and animation in this season improves significantly and they introduce this character, Zak who becomes the main character in some episodes in season 4, speaking of season 4 it's honestly my favorite season introducing the flying submarine and it makes Mad the protagonist and introduces the submarine, it has great writing and only one fart joke, I recommend you give the show a watch (Season 3 is a bit depressing tbh besides a s=few episodes like Rabbid bowl part 1 and 2) And finally, it's because its a franchise where you can turn your brain off to, and no not all Rabbid fans are stupid like the IHE clip says (Which it itself sounds pretty toxic like it's basically saying people who like that are stupid) Feel free to ask other Rabbid fans because I feel like they can explain in a better way why they like the characters and the franchise a whole
I used to watch the show as a kid- Even 8-year-old me thought it was annoying- Sony is awesome for not manufacturing Satan's movie- F you Lionsgate- Good video-
This is so weird to look back on after playing Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. They haven't gotten rid of the "minion" style but it's been drastically reduced to background jokes, they actually have OC's now with their own personalities and voice acting it's crazy. It even seems like they're using less of the Super Mario IP and making more of their own thing that's different from any previous Rabbid installment. With the world building using sci-fi instead of fantasy it feels more like a Rayman game than anything they've done before with Rabbids in it, and with Rayman coming in a future dlc I can finally stop looking at Rabbids as the thing that killed Rayman. Despite the popularity of the Minions for some ungodly reason Im glad they decided to take the Rabbids in a different direction, things are looking promising for the Rabbids and hopefully Rayman in the future.
They made a dlc about rayman, and we got a new more mature rayman in an animated series, i also saw one action figure of rayman popping out, i think rayman is coming back for good this time..

As for the Rabbis t.v. show, I think it's fine from what little I watched. But even I wouldn't have given it three seasons of more than a hundred episodes. The Rabbids' gimmick really doesn't seem like the sort of thing you can make multiple seasons out of.
I do remember finding it randomly on a streaming service and me and my bros had a blast watching it
4 seasons the 4 season is on Netflix
I apparently own said Mario and Rabbids crossover game, not that bad actually
Even the 2nd game had them as invaders, still somewhat threatening just in a more silly way.
I genuinely love the vibe of the original Rayman Raving Rabbids, I feel like it had so much potential and I love how the Rabbids are portrayed as Stupid but deep down they knew what they were doing and they were terrifying
CrazyDolphin oh yeah true
@@gioprince3629 And in 2, only sort of.
They knew they were invading, but didn't know what 90% of the things in front of them were. And fair enough.
And Rabbids go home they take a couple of humans and throw them in the trash pile while they're stuck inside of a container.
I don’t care if people don’t like rabbids, I just love the guys and watching the show even as a teenager it’s still amusing to watch something I did on tv all the time when I was younger.
Despite the Rabbids being a...pretty eh series, I still think Mario and Rabbids is a surprisingly good XCOM-like game.
Its-a-me
Mario!
Yah I thought the Nario and Rabbits game was pretty good (and challenging) too
I think a quote from Spider-Man 3 pretty much sums up The Rabbids:
“I didn’t choose to be this”
Looking at the old version of the game and even the GBA release, it is pretty clear that they weren’t meant to be cute, but rather scary and threatening.
I feel the same way. The Rayman Raving Rabbids game really spooked me out as a kid.
Yeah
Say what you will about Rabbids, my experience with them is limited to one game, but I will say that Mario & Rabbids is a phenomenal game.
Rabbids are ok, they’re are annoying, but they are pretty entertaining.
theyre also slightly more adult than the minions could ever be
edit: not "could", "would". You can find early clips of the Rabbits, and some of the skits are quite....adult minded
Not all the time though
Taj L ?
@Taj L true, that's what that makes them better
Illumination studios just copy pasted the rabbids
I just want to point out, Illumination is an American studio. Not French. Owned by Universal Pictures
Thanks, Kim Jong-Un
Although Ilumination movies are animated at MacGuf, a French animation studio.
No, they are indeed French, they just have two studios in America and French
Rabbis had 4 SEASONS
Not 3,too
hey kim
i actually like some of the Rabbids games: Rabbids Go Home was really funny and surprisingly made statements on consumerist society, Mario + Rabbids is a really good XCOM-like game, and Rayman Raving Rabbids is a good party game.
I just remember the rabbids used to make me laugh wayyy more than the minions when I was a kid. They have a special place in my heart
I wanted a Rayman TV series review.
*_close enough_*
Rayman: The Animated Series (also known as Rayman: The TV Series, or just Rayman) is a French-British-Canadian series of animated short films created by Ubisoft in 1999, based on the Rayman video game series, following the success of Rayman 2: The Great Escape.
@@Algox -_- yes that's what I meant
*The cah!*
Really though...That show was hella weird.
My friend here can fix yehr cah.
Yeah close enough is a pretty good show
i gotta say, that VR experience at the arcade was genuinely enjoyable. while i do find them annoying, i do have a soft spot for them because of some great childhood memories playing raving rabbids on the wii.
It’s currently only in the Mario universe, but this could mean they might find ways to infiltrate other universes.
this is
without any doubt
*one of the most horriffic thoughts one could have*
i want it to happen bro
And then you see them in some way in every game. In every image. In every video. Would be cool.
This could mean crossovers with:
Sonic the Hedgehog
Team Fortress 2
Cuphead
Resident Evil
Fall Guys
fun fact: it's canon that the rabbids are pretty much indestructible. so if there was a group of rabbids that had the desire to cause harm to other species we'd be doomed :)
plot twist: the rabbids crossover with mario is actually a pretty awesome game.
But it actually is
dude have you seen the rating for that game....Straight As man
What about with spongebob
It really shouldn't be, but it's good.
Why

No that's a massive lie
I watched the rabbids show a little as a kid simply because it was on and I had a couple wii games about them. There were a couple episodes where the plot is a scientist trying to study a rabbid and slowly going insane. So that was funny
I still kinda refer the rabbids than the Minions tbh
at least they had a pretty good crossover game with Mario, had an interesting origin story, tied in with the Rayman series and where rabbit things, instead of, weird glowstick people or whatever the Minions are supposed to be
I'm gonna be honest, I actually really like the Rabbids. Not the Minions tho, the Minions suck.
Same :D
same here
Lol I Like both, but I can Understand your opinion.😄

Same the rabbids atleast have some emotion but the minions are just bananas farts and laughing
The best description of these little bastards
I thought the Mario+rabbids collab was a massive success that was loved by many.
Yeah same lmao, I haven’t seen a single person who’s played the game say they didn’t enjoy or didn’t like it
Pre-release, everyone was hating on it. Then it came out and people realized it was actually a pretty great game.

IMO it’s the ultimate “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover” crossover.
I’ll forever love the Rabbids Go Home game on the Wii. I always find myself playing through the game again every 2 years or so. Definitely my favorite underrated game.

I like the rabbids and I know that’s a bit ironic but ever since Mario and Rabbids, they grew on me. And in fact, I’m confident enough in my opinion to say I wouldn’t mind them in smash as a character, although the mii costume works fine.
There is Mii gear that gives you a Rabbids head in Smash Ultimate as DLC.
They’re great. I love destroying them.

play rabbids go home !
Pink Derpy Pig well for me I had Nintendo consoles I just never heard of rabbids until the show came up
The one Rabbids game no one ever talks about is Rabbids Go home I remember loving it lol
It had a PC version in europe!
I agree! I love that game!
Oh come on that mario game was actually pretty good but people say it’s bad because rabbids are in them and don’t even give them a chance…………..it’s like spyro fans with skyla-
To be honest, mario and rabbids is one of my favourite switch games
But hey at least the rabbids weren't turn into Facebook mom memes
To be honest, I prefer the rabbids more. At least they're trying to do something meaning rather than just singing and dancing. They also barely strayed from they origins, attempting to take over the world, yet failing. They also have a good story; being bullied and their leader seeking revenge by taking over the world, failing a few times before succeeding, but then the leader was either killed or arrested, leaving the rabbids to wander the earth aimlessly until they decided to live on the moon. I like them more because they seem more active and chaotic than the minions.
Hey just gotta say, Mario and Rabbids is a really decent game.
Side note: And I love Rabbids go home on the wii back in the day.
Yeah, that game was pretty good, if not aggravating in some spots
The rabbids are so underated and rabbids and mArIO sparks of hope is so amazing
The only small little comical relief character I've ever liked is gir from invader zim
while i do love gir, it really sucks that he’s on literally every piece of iz merchandise. im glad they made more based on different characters after enter the florpus came out

The reason I started using youtube was to watch the Rabbits
Mario + Rabbids was actually a really great game. 😄
The gameplay was great and the humor that was used was less random then anything else with the rabbids
Yep, the Rabbids humor was tamed in Kingdom Battle. Let's hope it stays this way in Sparks Of Hope (the new announced game for 2022)
Unlike the Minions, the Rabbids were actually FUNNY, like I genuinely laughed at some jokes.
Rabbids is having a 2 new game this year, and Minions: Rise Of Gru also came out this year...
This year is going to be a great fight.
when i was younger, i actually quite enjoyed playing the Rayman Raving Rabbids games. they were fun minigame collections with personality for me. but i had never played mario party or anything at the time, so i dont know how well i would like the games today. probably not very much, as you stated how the "annoying character" being the point of a character isnt very fun. especially as an adult. Facts
I remember being like 3 or 4, watching the tv series, crying when it ended, and discovering the season four when I was like 7.
Hey, Rabbids fan here,
I'm here to tell you why me and many other people like the Rabbids.
First off the design of them is actually appealing, it's very simple and gives enough room to give much emotion
Second off, the TV show is actually pretty good the comedy is mostly slapstick and sometimes bizarre moments which are pretty hilarious, season one is really creative I mean look what they have the Rabbids do in the first episode, the first half focused on the Rabbids discovering things and the later half focused more on them doing whatever. Season 2 is more adventure focused and introduces Mad Rabbid, a mad scientist who invents things which some episodes focus on, and animation in this season improves significantly and they introduce this character, Zak who becomes the main character in some episodes in season 4, speaking of season 4 it's honestly my favorite season introducing the flying submarine and it makes Mad the protagonist and introduces the submarine, it has great writing and only one fart joke, I recommend you give the show a watch (Season 3 is a bit depressing tbh besides a s=few episodes like Rabbid bowl part 1 and 2)
And finally, it's because its a franchise where you can turn your brain off to, and no not all Rabbid fans are stupid like the IHE clip says (Which it itself sounds pretty toxic like it's basically saying people who like that are stupid)
Feel free to ask other Rabbid fans because I feel like they can explain in a better way why they like the characters and the franchise a whole
I used to watch the show as a kid-
Even 8-year-old me thought it was annoying-

@@SapientialPogonophobic weeeeell we all have our personal opinions soooooo

Rabbids are weird because some of their games are legit great. Rabbids Go Home is a seriously underrated little game.
