Got goosebumps when Tharizdun spoke 😮 Honestly, wonderfull video. In my current campaign a Boccob tower in the city of Monmurg plays an importieren role and your video gave me inspiration.
Oronir, Boccob is one of my favorite Greyhawk Gods, but I never get to write about him! This is a wonderful video and should inspire DMs to use him more. P.S. That Tharizun voice, raised the hairs on the back of my neck, lol.
I legit started a campaign with a divination wizard in the heros party He fallows bocobb And seeks to destroy a demon who goes by tazzama... blehwhshah But it was b4 watching this and now I feel.compeled to make him the enemy of the wizard
Hi Dr. It is not a fact of Greyhawk Deities. Here are my thoughts: His nickname 'The uncaring' came because he is not concerned with amassing worship but nonetheless receives it for it is in the nature of civilizations to crave arcane power and understanding. That is not to say he will not give a boon or curse when appropriate. One may argue that Nerull likewise is not concerned as he too is automatically worshipped and souls inevitably come his way.
@TheGreyLeague OK, interesting. In fact, I could see that being an interesting way to play greater gods: lesser gods fight to become greater ones because it frees them from the burden of needing followers - by passing some threshold. There could even be some adventure in there.
What I always love about the Greyhawk Mythology is there seems to be some of rhyme and reason to the source of divine power but there also seems to be multiple ways of accessing it. Baccob sprang from it. Pelor's children inherited it. Cuthbert was granted it. Vecna stole it. Worship seems to enhance it but but not grant it. It's one of the few setting where high level play becomes interesting because you can explore the nature of the gods.
Hi Diego, It has come from the article of Roger Moore. Here and there I have said it differently than written, as it is for a video rather than an article, but exactly the same content. 'The Origin' part is where I have added a bit of my flavour. In the 'Anathema, goals an edicts' I also had to make some things up to get a list, as I did not have enough info, but I am sure you agree that is on point with the official Boccob.
I keep thinking about the library that existed before the prime material plane. Who were the authors? What would the books be made of? What languages the text?

Thank you very much for your videos and thus helping keeping Greyhawk alive!
Thank you for your support. Feel free to share them around. Greyhawk endures

@@Bay35Pablo thank you very much👍
Is Boccob unique among the Greyhawk gods in not deriving power from worship or is this a common fact of Greyhawk deities?

Very good. It's all taken from official material?

@@BryanCooku great questions!!
Hmmm, the building blocks or guides to the multiverse.
Kinda wish you weren't leaning on this generated filler.
@@DIEGhostfish thanks for the feedback but what do you mean exactly.
